Well, customs on forums vary. When someone hijacks a thread here, some typical responses are

- ignoring the tangent and posting on-topic
- playfully teasing the hijacker about the attempt to hijack
- going with the tangent
Perhaps your earlier post fit into the “teasing” model, or not.

But when the Original Poster (OP) chooses to “go along with the tangent” then it seems (to me) difficult to criticize the scope of the thread – in a case where people disagree on the scope of a topic, I would tend to look to the OP and give that poster’s view more weight.

My impression is that there is a LOT of reasoned discussion, (as well as plenty of impassioned and illogical discussion) of pheromones here.

I’m wondering if the “very, very, very sorry” was sarcasm or not.

was there the _genuine_ reason for anger here?
it sounded like sarcasm to me 😉
the way i see it mark, as adults we ought to continue with the topic at hand when it begins to veer, or get rid of the distraction ( :o ).
also,one of your points says

please note the tangent ITSELF was created by the _original poster_!
people need to lighten-up.

Chessplayer, stop whining. Just because we go off-topic occasionally does not mean that you can’t bring us back. Tangents are the nature of _discussion_ after all. Goodness.

Really? That’s a lovely scent, and I’ve always thought of it as rather light…you may be allergic to certain perfumes, hon.

As for the obvious distractant in this conversation…if I were a lesbian, Lor would be one of my first choices, as well. 😉

Chessplayer,

You haven’t really read any of my other threads or you would understand that I am a very easy going guy who enjoys life. To that extent most of my posts have a sense of fun that makes the posts well read. The posts being well read means more opinions and thus more possible subjects can have a positive outcome.

I don’t believe anyone on this forum has a bad output or is disrespectful to each other. The only one that does that is the fool who neg’s people anonymously.

I am pretty certain, at least in my reality, by sometimes going off topic and creating humorous interactions we actually deepen our understanding of each other thus allowing the free exchange of thoughts that take place in an open, free environment.

The best thing to do, if you feel my threads are to unstructured for yourself, or just plain silly, simply elect not to participate. As a newer member to this community I feel at home with my new friends discussing issues which are important to me in a way that is congruent to my personality.

I do hope you will continue to post in our threads and join us, especially if you have something positive to add. If you feel it is necessary to no longer participate because we share humor amongst that is your choice as well.

The best way to participate in my threads is to spray yourself with some [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), do a little dance, smile and have at it.

Exactly.

I tried a new mix today of 3 Instant shine, 2 [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/), 1 Instant Openness, 1 Instant Honesty, and 2 Turn Up The Heat and I was fine. I didn’t even think about it as it’s a general part of my day, but when I went out for lunch I auto-sprayed myself again. When I returned from lunch I kind of felt squeamish, but it passed.

I’m not sure it was psychosomatic because I didn’t even think about the implications of the second spraying until just this moment.

I can definitely see a correlation of the two sprays. I will shower again and yeah I will re-spray myself for this evenings festivities. I think I’ll be going out with errand girl who might become girlfriend number 5.

I need to do something about this situation. They all know about each other, but maybe all the strenuous activity is creating stress which certainly can upset the tummy. I am really at a loss as to why this happens.

I think it was Lor (?) who said the smell of Petuili might have adversely affected me, but I’m not sure if that would be the cause of my reaction. It was more of a reaction to the actual wearing of the oil. I still smell petuili to this day without the negative reaction. I have petuili incense I burn frequently. It’s only when I wear it.

I thought maybe it might be the petrol (oil) based component but the Androtics products I have are alcohol based so that rules that out.

In addition to the MBTI dimensions, there is a scale for learning / acquiring new information and knowledge.

The four cardinal dimensions of that scale are **linkage** (tangents, horizontal connections/compares/contrasts), **hierarchy** (the classic PhD organization of taxonomies, etc.), **process** (I learn it when I do it, when I apply it) and **pragmatics** (once economic worth is established, I can find a way to learn it).

All in all, I think that the threads on the forum are, in general, very disciplined and that focus is kept even in some very longish threads.

Like being able to read body language, I think tangents need to be appreciated in context. Consistent hijacking of threads that defeat the purpose of the forum is not, I suggest, something that we’ve seen here.

“So called” tangents that help maintain morale and good spirits, that evoke courtesy and consideration and open-minded participation – I would say those kind of tangents are “on topic” in any thread of the forum.

That’s amazing. My friend that I test pheromones (as he would say Sex Panther) on noted that phermones enhanced his hunger. He said they seemed like hunger smells. He then had a headach for a short while durring dinner.

that was sigma’s mix
22.5mcg p79
2.5mcg -none
2 sprays spaceland

A very stinky mix.

Too bad ChessPlayer elected to not continue to post as he said that he got headaches too.

Not me, for me it’s just tummy and it usually goes away, but it is interesting how some people equate the smell to hunger.

I think it’s the potential for pheromones to enhance the sences (especialy smell). If you are hungry and your sence of smell is increase you will notice food more and therefore trigger your hunger reflex.

the only thing they have in common as far as I know about a314’s make up is -none.

I’ve been doing some surfing, unfortunately no source to cite, but if pheromones are produced by a natural process than perhaps the adding or subtracting of certain pheromones can have an adverse affect on a person’s chemistry.

I read in one study that human’s pheromones are a clear indicator of every disease. Again I cannot cite the source, but a quick search of Google should produce results. With this in mind it is possible that the reaction although slight could actually be an indicator of something else like a illness.

In other words if pheromones can act as an enhancer of senses than it is plausible to say they can also act as a human detection system for illness.

Although I am currently healthy, perhaps my pheromone detection system (I’ve already applied for the patent 😛 ) is compensating for an injury such as the one I suffer from. This signature is churning my stomach as a reaction to the injury emphatically stating: "Hey SteveO, you are hurt and need to get yourself checked out.

I would love if Ail checked in for her med views. That is if she doesn’t still hate me!

for sure its spelled patchouli.
its one of my favs.

i know this will sound weird, but i _really did_ think pheromones caused some issues i was having because using them coincided with going out for coffee and being in social situations _which also coincided_ with sugar substitutes in food and beverage.☹
im not saying thats everyones problem, but the problem really could be something you are not aware you are allergic to.
i was nausious, suffered light headaches, dry mouth, and occasional anxiety attacks. i began to think “pheromones?”
turns out sugar substitutes are in \*everything,\*and i am allergic.
havent suffered a day now that i cut them out.
pheromone me _the hell up_ i say! 🙂
if it were pheromones i would think there is a clear-cut pattern, but alot of the timing sounds nebulous.
but **i could be wrong** ,i know.

and Laurie, thanks for the compliment 😃

I’ve gotten nausea feelings from strong perfume type smells.

I’ve felt “odd” sometimes after applying some [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/), but often that goes away after I’ve worn them a few times.

I _may_ be possible there is a connection. We are dealing with something that affects body chemistry.

I’m so glad I found this thread. I’ve experienced the worse sleep within the past 2 years. I haven’t been sick for a while. I tend to keep it that way. But during night, I felt drunk, almost like I was on date rape. I couldn’t get up when I tried. I felt nauseated, stomach hurt, & almost felt like vomiting. I have a healthy lifestyle of proper nutrition & exercise for sure. When I finally got up after a 16 hour sleep, I felt like my head has been hit my a truck. I couldn’t focus almost like I had the flu. So maybe possibly OD? Maybe I didn’t give my body enough rest from the mones. I don’t spray more than once on my neck.

That sounds much more like a bad reaction to a scent or secondary component, rather than the pheros themselves - In fact I had something similar when an ex got herself a bottle of something Armani but it was only when we snuggled-up close that I got a sickly/flu-like reaction.

Which phero or scent were you using?

Its never a great idea to sleep with pheros-on, unless you have someone appreciating them there with you of course. Otherwise, just ensure you give your app points a quick wash before retiring.
