Hey everyone! I’m a 24year old male from Portland, OR (where the f is that!?) in the pacific north west. I’ve heard alot about [pheromone sprays](https://a314.com/product-category/spray-pheromones/) and oils in the past and I was completely skeptical about the whole subject. And to be honest still am. I have a friend that bought some in the Netherlands during his study abroad for like $100 and never worked for him (although he’s not the best looking guy). Upon reading further in this forum, it seems like combinations of different sprays, as well as different effects on each pheromones (comfort, desire, openness etc.) sounds really interesting. I have no troubles getting girls at clubs/parties, mutual friends and what not but I always wondered why only certain girls go crazy over me when I’m not doing much, and some girls don’t. Can it be due to my natural pheronomones? My sense of taste and smell is very keen, since I was trained as a chef and the cologne’s I pick is always a huge hit (Currently I use John Varvatos, before Dolce and Gabbana). Are cologne’s overrated? Before i go on a rant, my biggest questions are: 1. Does Pheromone sprays/oils work due to Placebo effect? The user will watch other people’s reactions more and be more sensitive to their surroundings too see other peoples reactions, thus resulting in a exaggerated description of a random person “starring at him” or “I got more smiles today”, which in reality the user may of had these interactions already without the sprays/oils. 2. Do these sprays actually smell nice? Or can other people sense these familiar sprays and think “haha he’s using the pheromone sprays, whata douche” reactions. Or the black panther effect from Anchorman (30% of the time, it works every time). 3. Which product/combo’s will you recommend for a skeptical newbie to use for the first time? I am here with an open mind and willing to try out these products without going in believing that everything is a coincidence. hi there! welcome to pherotalks 🙂 its a really friendly place and i’m sure you will make some awesome friends here! but to answer some of your questions.. i used to be really skeptical when it came to [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) also until i started learning about it in med school. although it’s not completely proven, pheromones do raise some hormonal release as well as blood pressure. and i’m sure it does other things too so i dont think pheromones work due to placebo effects. some of the sprays smell really really good. however, some do smell very stinky and you will need a cover scent. i think a lot of guys will recommend you some good pheromones to start out with, but a very solid product to start out would be ammo. have a nice day! \<3 remmy ---

Hello DjFlex! I guess cologne are indeed overrated haha, some good ones are even more expensive than pheromones 😃 As for your questions, pheromones will get you some placebo effects, but they works on their own too. I can really prove it but im sure that all the hits i got wasn’t only from placebo 😉 Well your can customize [unscented pheromone](https://a314.com/product-category/stealth-unfragranced/) product here, or just leave it since there are alot of different cologne out there that smell like the products here, and you can’t really pinpoint anything at all. Io and ishine are great products for any skeptical new members here to try, since it is easy to see that there are more conversations, and people are happier around you! ---

Quite honestly I haven’t 100% decided that my perceived reactions are from pheremones and not from an increase in sensitivity to the actions of those who surround me - However, I am pretty darn certain that self-effects are quite real, and I have noticed what appeared to be reactions from pheremones that were consistent with the type of pheremone used > [@djflex](#): > > 1. My girlfriend has commented at least a half dozen times about how nice I smell since I started using 'mones - I do occasionally use a cover smell (cologne on top) but 90% of the time she comments after smelling my hair which never receives cover (only mones) - She also did not comment about my smell before the mones so I would say YES they do smell quite nice. > [@djflex](#): > > 1. As far as self-effects go this one is the bomb, I feel great about 5 minutes after application… Otherwise it really depends on what situations you want to see reactions in - A314 is great for getting respect from people, especially at work, [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) is good for getting people to open up to you, Instant Honesty for good conversations, Ammo is apparently a good sexual/fun mix - Look at what would compliment your personality and where you want to see reactions and test it in those situations ---

Thank you for all the feedbacks, you guys sound great. Its nice to hear that everyone was a skeptic at one point. I have decided to buy Ammo, and both [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/) and Instant Honesty. I’ll write my honest experience after they arrive and test out my new products. I’ll try coffee shops, clubs/lounges, friends and my clients as test subjects lol. ---

From a Man (user of Phero’s) to a Man Nothing wrong with Phero’s, they enhance your already masculine aura.. just got to put some confidence, attitude, humour and of course other Alpha male characteristics behind them to make things light up for you. But after using them for a bit you begin to see obvious patterns. Changed Behavior on a consistant basis and you can tell what is a Placebo and what is not. We do suggest you begin observing people before you try the products. Its makes it easier. Please read “How do I know I am getting hits” the link is in my siganture below.** 1. Scent is secondary to how the molecule works. It diffuses off the body undetected by anyone else and enters the brain through the nasal passage. There it connects to certin Neurotransmitters in the brain thus causeing a feeling and a reaction to that feeling. I suggest Ishine and IH to start. Most people feel Ishine work when they apply it. They also see the effects on others especially around someone who is naturally moody.
