Hello, I wander how many people here can’t smell androstadienone (unscented Instant Female Magic). I am one of them. When i smell open bottle, I can only smell the smell of alcohol. In Turn Up The Heat I only smell added scent, I can’t smell androstenone either. For me it is quite frustrating, I wish I had better sense of smell… In this post I will not talk about effects, but only about the smell of pheros. So the story is… I put 2 sprays of [Instant Female Magic](https://a314.com/product/instant-female-magic/) to the back of my head and went to work. I work with couple of people in the same room. During the day, one of my best female friends, who work for the same company as I do, entered the room and talked to one of my colleagues for couple of minutes. Two hours later we had lunch together, as we usually do. She is the only person besides my GF who knows that I’m using pheros. So, sometimes I talk to her about them, cause she seems to be interested. That day, I asked her to smell my application point and tell me if she can smell anything. Her first reaction was “IT WAS YOU !!!” and started to explain me that when she entered the room that day, she was able to smell it from the doors (I sit about 5 meters from there) she was wandering who stinks so badly in our room (I applied only two sprays). She described it as very intense and unpleasant smell of homeless person that never showers. We were talking about that for couple of minutes, and that topic in our conversation ended with her teasing me like “poor your colleagues who work in your room” 🙂 Since my sense of smell is obviously fu\*\*ed up, I wanted to do the test with her. I made paper samples of IFM, Turn Up The Heat, Ammo and A314 and asked her to smell each sample and tell me how much she like/dislike it. For Ammo she told me that it was nice. TUTH was: “like when you don’t shower for couple of days and than apply parume on dirty body”. IFM was “like homeless person - disgusting”. A314 was like “absolutely disgusting, I can’t smell this sample one more time, cause I’ll puke” (I don’t know if I have smelly edition of A314, since this is my first bottle and I can’t compare - it was shipped on 16 Nov 2007). For me it smells unpleasant but not so much. That test occurred on second day of her menstrual cycle (second day of period) I repeated the test about 12 days later (while she was in fertile days), and result was similar, but I would say that her dislike feeling of TUTH and IFM was a bit milder, she even said that she kinda like the smell of TUTH in spite of swaety component. for A314 her comment was the same (take it away I’ll puke). She seems to be the person with very sensitive sense of smell. So, I’m thinking about covering the smell of IFM. Some people cover it by spaying application point with additional layer of cologne. Others mix in vial and apply the mix. On Androtics site it is said like “added scent helps diffusion”. Some people say if it smels nice, people will try to inhale more (more scent, but also more pheros). My idea is to mix it in vial with some of my favorite colognes (Versace Dreamer or BlueJenas) in ratio 1 part of cologne mixed with 3-5 parts of IFM. I think it is good idea to add pleasant component to it, which will partially cover the bad smell. On the other hand there must be the reason why it is originally designed without additional scent. Above that, one very respectable member here advised me in private conversation “don’t cover it”. Some people say in older threads “IFM has to be covered as it stinks so badly”. I believe that mixing in vial is better than mixing on the skin for the reason that in vial you have better control of ratio of components and it is repeatable. The bottom line is that I don’t like the idea of smelling bad, but I also wander will I make it less effective if covered. I’d like to hear more opinions. Thank you for the very informative post, I did not know that it smelled that bad 🙂 I personally don’t think that you would make it less effective if covered. What i would do is simply spray the cologne on the front of my neck and instant female magic on the back. I’m a simple guy, the type that loves duct tape. I think it would be better if you mixed it in a vial though. ---

Excellent post! I use the female version of IFM and it does stink, especially the one with the herbal additive. The plain one stinks, but I like it anyway - though I probably would not have liked it in my 20s! I think it’s better to spray your [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/), let them dry out a bit then apply cologne lightly. That way you can tailor your mix more readily (for example, adding TUTH when she’s fertile). As you say, others disagree. How old is your friend by the way? She is very sensitive to smells, for sure. Good thing she likes Ammo at least! ---

I think the problem is some of us guys can’t smell IFM the way women smell it.. right? ---

Try one spray straight to your neck/chest to gauge the effects. If it gives you the dreaded depressive effect you may still be able to use it…if you spray it to the back of your head/neck… They don’t call it ‘magic’ for nothion’…it IS magical stuff…go… go… go for it, baby!! 😃 ---

Ok ok! Bella, you will be the first to hear bout my first expierence with IFM. I will make sure i make a new post for it, its a big step in phero career. I have a rare disease called IFM phero-phobia…With your help…and our powers combined i will overcome this!! ---

Mones mimic the smell of bodily secretions. They are not supposed to smell good and and although they put a cover scent in there products here to aid in diffusion I can always smell the mones. IFM smells like feet to me, not a pleasant scent at all. I suggest the spray, let dry down, then cover method because then you are aware of how much mones you are getting dosage wise with the products you have mentioned. Mixing in a bottle with other colognes is harder to do with consumer products because you end up diluting the mones so much you may not be getting enough dose to have the product be effective. This is to not say that it isnt done, but most people who composite do so with the advanced products or single molocule mones and putatives. Tisha ---

I usually let it dry down at the back of my neck. These days I spray some Instant honesty on it usually or cologne.
