# so do you have a girlfriend now?

i’ll keep this short. i know this girl for almost 3 years now. i dated her once or twice 2 years ago. it was kind of awkward back then and didn’t go anywhere. but since i asked her out, i must have expressed my interest. anyway, i got a gf after that… then another.. and things got a little messy.

i met her again today, after not seeing her for say 6 months? the first thing she asked was “so do yo have a girlfriend now”… and since there is this girl who really likes me and i am starting to fall for her too… i answered “sort of… yeah…”. i was just being honest and didn’t think too much into this, then she went all unhappy… hmm… when a girl ask if you have a girlfriend…

1. always interested in you?
2. not always, but perhaps interested in you
3. just being friendly (or even gossipy?)

since my life is already quite complicated, i would just like to be normal friends with her. so am i thinking too much into this, while i want to be friendly and all, i don’t want to be sending out the wrong signal. i could avoid her if (1) is the case.

Depends

She says it mockingly - not interested… taking a shot at you or you banged her sister/bestfriend/mother and she hates you

She asks sincerely - if she was/is a really good friend, it’s probably just sincere interest. If she is just an acquaintance - she is interested

thanks, since she is not really good friend, i think there is a good chance that she is mocking me or she is interested.. either case, good to know.
