I’ve been testing [P74](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/p74/) for a couple weeks now. My experience with it at this point is _mostly_ in combination with A314, IH, and with both of those products combined. So keep in mind that I still need to do more solo testing on this molecule. I just haven’t had as many opportunities to test lately because the winter’s been so bad I can’t bring myself to go out as often. **Familiarity** I think one of the main effects I’ve picked up from P74 is an increased sense of familiarity. People respond to me in ways which indicate an exaggerated sense of history between us. One of the occurrences that really drove this effect home for me took place on the Metra train while I was on the way to some of these various interviews. In two separate cases, the train conductor simply passed by me without ever asking for my ticket. The first time I wondered whether I was ghosting, but after going about my interview and interactions for the day I ruled that out. Then it happened again! And this _never_ happens on the Metra! I think what actually happened was the train conductors felt as though they had already made contact with me. The only reason they would make contact with me would be if they collected my ticket, therefore, they felt no need to ask for a ticket. I think this is why P74 seems to be such a good fit with IH, since the beta androstenol increases the sense of intimacy, while P74 provides a kind of justification for that intimacy by invoking a sense of context. This can be tested by trying to buffer an excessive amount of IH with P74 around people with whom I am not intimate. If I am correct, then the “too close too soon” effect of excess IH should be eliminated. If anyone else would like to test this theory, I’d love to hear about it! **Comfort/Settling** This goes along with my other-effect experiences. I have a light paranoia built into my personality dynamics (which are primarily based around schizoidal and narcissistic defenses, with some obsessional components, in case anyone is versed in psychoanalytic theories of personality. If not try Nancy McWilliams’ book Psychoanalytic Diagnosis for a fascinating read.) P74 takes the edge off of interactions in such a way that my feelings of trust are not necessarily increased, but I have instead an increased sense that I know what is going on. This puts me at ease and makes it easier for me to be flexible in my interactions. This molecule could therefore be a great antidote for “analysis paralysis” in professional projects. It also has a lot of promise for building rapport in psychotherapeutic situations.
