_Project Onward_ was founded in 2004 for artists who had ‘aged out’ of _Gallery 37_. _Project Onward_ is a Chicago-based studio for artists with special needs–mental and developmental. Another one of _Project Onward’s_ artists that started at _Gallery 37_ is Larry Chestnut. Note that the obsessiveness so typical of many people with Autism Spectrum Disorders can not only be harnessed in areas like Software Testing, but can also give such an individual a unique, detailed take on television shows for example… > [@](#): > > …Larry Chestnut is an artist possessed of great confidence and amazing technical skill. He is also autistic, which causes Chestnut to revisit particular subjects with obsessive regularity. The daytime drama “General Hospital” figures prominently in his work, just as it occupies a significant role in his everyday life. The works on display reflect Chestnut’s quirky, multi-dimensional take on the medical show, from dramatic views of the hospital’s architecture to studies of nurses and doctors on duty – including the artist himself in hospital scrubs… Some more of Larry Chestnut’s work can be viewed via the following links: [Project Onward | Artists](http://www.projectonward.org/artists/larrychestnut) [https://picasaweb.google.com/projectonward/LARRYCHESTNUT](https://picasaweb.google.com/projectonward/LARRYCHESTNUT) [Project Onward: Project Onward Artist: Larry Chestnut](http://projectonwardchicago.blogspot.com.au/2009/12/project-onward-artist-larry-chestnut.html) [Larry Chestnut, Project Onward | Flickr - Photo Sharing!](http://www.flickr.com/photos/60022661@N05/5678779696/) (source: [Artist with autism paints soap opera stars | abc7chicago.com](http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/entertainment&id=7348521)) --- _[View the full topic](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/specialisterne-leveraging-the-unique-skills-of-autistics-at-competitive-market-terms/50245)._
