Another Autistic individual living a busy life is Joel Anderson of Fallbrook, California. Joel, 21, is an artist, composer and Autism activist.

Joel was diagnosed with Autism at the age of three, but that has not stopped him from success in life. He has put his art on note cards - starting his own business ([JOELS VISION ARTS, CREATIVE CANVAS, ARTWORK, FALLBROOK CALIFORNIA](http://www.joelsvisionarts.com/)). Joel also won the inaugural International Naturally Autistic Community ANCA Achievement Award for Adults with Autism in 2010…

The Foundation utilizes volunteers to provide programs at no cost to children and families affected by autism in the community.
>
> “The Autism Tree Project Foundation family has believed in me and given me many opportunities to share information about autism and my art,” he said…

The Autism Tree Tree Project Foundation (ATPF)/University of San Diego (USD) football mentor program was inspired by the friendship that former USD football player Kyle Negrete had with Joel:

Joel’s latest mentor and team liaison for the program is Al Rilwan Adeyemi: [Autism Tree & USD football Mentor Al-Riwan Adeyemi - YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4uMb5IipoA)

In addition to being a painter, Joel has also wrote the music and lyrics for a song entitled _The Colors of My Mind_…

> The Colors of My Mind is a soft rock song describing the emotion of color and why I paint - it is to see you smile.
