\*\*Specialisterne (Danish for ‘Specialists’) seeks to harness strengths that many people with Autism Spectrum Disorders possess - good attention to fine details, precision, and high tolerance for repetitive tasks. Their consultants bring the joy of work into areas where it is often missing.🙂

> …We stated that the potential of conflicts exists of all forms in every company and we found out …that it goes for Specialisterne as well. According to [Thorkil Sonne, founder of Specialisterne], the reason for this is mostly a lack of maturity. Sonne told us that the immaturity found in the employees is due to a missing socialisation in puberty, as people with [Autism Spectrum Disorders] often have been isolated and cut off from social life.
> Sonne mentioned an example of an incident where a girl came into the office. This resulted in some awkward scenes, as she was of the opposite sex, and the employees did not know how to behave or respond…

The issues mentioned above may be aided by another book written by Kari Dunn Buron. Building on the above mentioned _Incredible 5 point Scale_, Buron’s _A 5 Is Against the Law! Social Boundaries: Straight Up! An honest guide for teens and young adults_, takes a narrower look at challenging behavior. As seen by some of the reviews of the book on [Amazon.com](http://Amazon.com), it may be an especially useful resource for Autistic adolescents and young adults…

> …This book is so useful for people with autism spectrum disorders that I wonder why there were no books that are this useful until very recently. As someone with Asperger’s Syndrome myself, I realize how much sooner I would have learned good social skills and appropriate behaviour if there had been books like this 30 years ago! For much too long, I was a very marginalized member of society, and this was because nobody gave me the help that I needed in order to know what behaviour is appropriate in what situation. Instead, people just kept me out of situations in which my inappropriate behaviour mattered.

> …I have a 19 year old son on the autism spectrum. It is really difficult to find materials out there to work with the challenges autistic individuals face in adulthood. This little book is easy to use and can be used as a tool to help them navigate in a world they see very differently from the rest of us. We need more resources like this…
