i got this idea after staying up all night from my phero-fuelled adventures. i noticed some people (women) would either not respond to the large doses of androstenone or actually be a little more distant than i would expect even w/o the pheromones. now i’ve read on the forum about using too much (“ODing”) and this could be a mild form of it: some threshold amount is pancakes to some girl, but too much to handle for another.

another observation, pheromones that we use (for this i’m assuming the right dose w/o OD) seem to determine people’s subconscious opinions. example, [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) sends a direct message to their sub-con that i’m interesting and my traits are attractive. that becomes their **honest** opinion about me. the next step is their conscious mind, with its many grown-up reasons, will take that simply as input, but has the ability to decide how to actually proceed with that information. their actions may quite possibly turn out to be the exact opposite, they might tell you, for example, that you look like crap, for whatever reason their conscious mind cooked up. how often do we find ourselves thinking that someone looks like crap, but giving them a compliment to make them feel better?

that action is benign, but it has its dark twin, lying about your true opinion to manipulate someone. sometimes we can suspect someone of doing that, but have no proof. well, let’s use pheromones as a tool here.

many phero’s are documented here on the forums and their expected effects are well understood. so by using one and seeing whether people act as expected or not could give a rare insight into their frontal lobe pipeline.

let’s take ammo. it’s expected that there is a lowest dose at which a woman will become attracted to the man wearing it, we can reasonably expect that her **honest** opinion is that you are hot. if, however, the first lowest dose reaction is an apparent turn off, then perhaps she’s just controlling her output, because in all probability she still thinks you’re hot in her mind, but will not admit to it outwards for whatever reason.

perhaps this could be used are a general test of character when you just must know if a person is genuine or a big fat lier and out to manipulate people as much as you suspect them. getting the doses right will be an art, so is choosing the best phero for the job.

if people were servers and pheromones were data packets, then this is the equivalent of performing a [chosen-plaintext attack](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chosen-plaintext_attack). a way to hack some computer security systems.

We have all different balances between our rational minds and our limbic systems. Just because someone has strong inhibitions or rejects impulses from their limbic system does not mean they are not honest.

At least to me.

I agree with Gone.

I think you’re overestimating the products and overinterpreting your results, or lack thereof.

These products don’t **cause** attraction or determine anyone’s “honest opinion” of you, first of all. Pheromones are only one bit of information they’re receiving about you; many other perceptions and predilections color their response to you. If you were an insect, it would be a different story.

[Synthetic pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) may heighten interest, attract attention, influence an emotional state, but they don’t cause all women/targets to feel attracted to you, or react in any single predetermined way. If they did you’d be in a real pickle 😉

Even if you found a product that did give such effects in a reliable fashion, you could not use that as a “test of character” because exhibiting self control does not signify lying or manipulation necessarily.

I agree with you, though, that people who don’t moderate their self expression as much will give you a more transparent reaction to your [pheromones](https://a314.com/) … the purest examples would be drunk people, developmentally disabled people and children. Most sane adults in the civilized world will only reveal their complete reactions to you - particularly if they involve passionate emotions or sex - in the right circumstances.

oh, dont get me wrong, this is more along the lines of brainstorming 🙂 just throwing some ideas out there. glad to see some responses already. im new to pheromones, so it’s good to see some answers from more experienced people.
