> I still Post 5.32 times Per Day, but keep in mind that Androtics has it set up that I also need to answer the phones, tickets, post a welcome message for every new user, review all orders and a slew of other things that are way more time consuming than posting on the forum. I’m very happy that with John comes opportunity to get back to the things I love. I loved posting on the forum and just reading every single post. I think there’s a way to see who has read what and you’ll find my name on 99% of threads on this forum. Pheromones and the community are my passion.
>
> I probably shouldn’t say this, but if I spend anytime doing something that is not a mouse click or a keystroke I simply do not get paid. I have been vocal about it to Jasmin and John, but I guess that’s just the way its going to be. Androtics is growing as a company and its something that will take for me to get used to. It does sadden me that because of this I just don’t have the time to sit and read and post on the forum like I used to. Not only time constraints (which hopefully will be fixed) but I like to really digest threads. Imagine having to consciously focus on making sure you are clicking on the mouse, or some other task rather than reading with complete dedication. The same goes for hotline calls so I apologize if my focus does not seem to be all on getting you results. John said he will look to find a solution 🙂. It’s frustrating to me and I have made this clear to John, poor guy 😛, but I’m told that all companies do this now. I wasn’t aware of that and I guess that’s why many workers are just in it for the 9-5 paycheck these days. I could never not be passionate about what I do.
>
> I’ve been told, now if the screen is captured with anything other than an androtics website that time will not get paid either (think facebook, twitter, other social media avenues). I used to spend time scouring for pheromone articles and on “competitors” blogs and forums just to know what I was dealing with. I can’t risk not getting paid for that so… I do understand why though.
>
> Just yesterday John mentioned to me that it looked like I never get up from the desk and am pretty darn efficient. Well 18 years running companies kind of does that to a guy-LOL 😉. The thing is I have to be here from 9-5 PST to answer the phones. It’s not like the old days where if I was out and about I’d have the phones transferred to my cell. I could be out clubbing and I’d still answer at 2 am. So yeah, you used to be able to find me on the forum as much as 60-70 hours a week: First thing in the morning when I woke up, while drinking coffee, to right before I shut my eyes at night. It just makes all those times I did it for fun seem less fun and more, well working a 9-5 in some big corporation.
>
> Now don’t go getting mad at Androtics its just the new world we live in. I understand and I’ve been on this system since March 29th. It has taken some getting used to but I’ve always been a free spirit. I’m adapting and making due in this crazy world we all live in now. The economy has really got things topsy-turvy and I still love what I do. With John and Jasmin working together and the hiring of additional support perhaps things will get more friendlier for me to post like I used too. You may miss my posts, but I miss writing them even more.

Trust me, I hear ya.

It sounds like we may want to use a different system or version of that system. It’s all on the table while we’re re-organizing.

It’s a sad state of affairs in the software and service world. We still haven’t found a project management or remote work service we’re in love with (none seem to match our project perfectly). Even famous services like Basecamp aren’t magic, but it’s essential we all use the best tools _available_. Stuff we can use right now. A little more research may reveal even more appropriate tools. I’m always open to suggestions.

While any company needs certain things done (or they wouldn’t function), it’s a good thing to get people doing more of what they do best, and enjoy the most.

For instance, we’re taking Jacob off shipping duty, having him formulate more. People love his handwritten notes on their invoices, but when you get down to it, it’s _really_ a waste of a good Jacob. He’s capable of _much_ more than shipping. He’s paid as a formulator, not a mere shipper. That’s bad for the project and a serious waste of resources.

Maybe there’s a way we can still incorporate good ole homespun Jacob notes, sans having him chained to the shipping desk every day.

I don’t want a waste a good Steve, either. People love your writing, and you enjoy it, so it’s important you do more of _that_ and less stuff like fraud checks. Easy breezy.

While we are on the subject of helping people do more of what they do best, let me add that Jasmin is precisely right and that’s one of my top goals. When we can support each other than we enable the entire team to gain preciseness and each member of our crew can concentrate on what they do best.

Also: Forum - you are all awesome for your support during the transition. 🙂
