# Strange dilemma (courtship rituals)

I recently signed up (for fun) on a dating site. On my profile ad, I wrote a joke piece called ‘Top 10 Reasons Why I Should Be Your Man.’ It was OK funny, but it attracted alot of responses+pics. Alot of lookers. Question is, where do I go from here? Especially if one is not too confident on the looks dep’t. Should I consider taking professional photos or wing it with a Facebook pic?

fun problem isn’t it?

I had a couple of jokes and one liners in my profile online too.

the best way is to be your self, don’t worry about your looks, or theirs, as pictures can be altered, or sometimes many years old,

Talk get to know them through email, then im and later telephone, then plan to meet somewhere public for “coffee, dinner, drinks, etc” plan some activity afterward, if you both want to go further, such as movie.

My current girl I met online, we emailed for a few weeks, then talked on the phone and met a couple of weeks later for pizza, then went for a drive in the country (the drive was not planned I did not think that far ahead) it was raining so sitting at the park was out, we drove for about 30-40 minutes, and the clouds broke, and the sun came out, so we stopped at the spill-way of a local lake watching the storms move on while we talked, and saw an awesome sunset (almost perfect) We had our first kiss, and I looked up as the fog was rolling in. “Damm baby, we fogged up the neighborhood” (completely perfect)

The key are a public place, plan an out, (she had a phone call and two texts that were supposed to be her outs) think up some good conversation questions “As a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?” “if you could see anyone in concert who would it be?”, be flexible on time, you never know when it might be fun.

I am not worthy. Thanks for the advice. I think I’m just going to go through the ritual without any bizarre expectations. Given that they want to know me without ever seeing me, I can take comfort in that.

I’ll continue to update.
