This is a total disgrace. And the military is less choosy than private industry.

I would say it has to do with always telling the kiddies they are right, they don’t fail, and everything is peachy keen and no leaving you behind. Outcome Based Education = FAIL!  
Heavens forbid we lower their self-esteem.
