Due to the higher temperates, all products shipping recently that are “scented” (including our entire “Instant” line) , have been shipping with a higher % of fragrance.

If this bothers you, let us know in your order comments that you’d like an ultra low scent version.

If you receive a higher scent version, and do not like it, our guarantee is in full effect. We’ll be happy to exchange it for you.

All “unscented” have been shipping with a higher percentage of low scent fixative, as well. **However, during these summer months, we recommend that you order everything (including ExperiMones and experimental putatives) with the light Neroli scent package.** It’ll really help your pheromones to last longer and work better in the summer heat.

Remember, most people will only smell a pleasant, fresh scent upon first exposure to the light Neroli scent. Almost everyone likes the scent of Neroli, which comes from orange plants. Neroli is simply a refined version of orange.

In the fragrance industry, it is considered to be one of the highest end scents (with a price tag to match)

Also be aware that people around will they’ll quickly become anosmic / insensitive (what some call “nose blind”) to some components of the light Neroli scent. You should truly offend no one with it.

In fact, the scent of some pheromones themselves would is far more unpleasnt to most people than our light Neroli scent. That’s what one of the many issues our light scent package was designed to correct.

PS – Ammunition [Pheromone Cologne](https://a314.com/shop/) is also being upgraded from 10% fragrance to 15% for summer. If you’re in an exceptionally hot area, let us know when you order, and we’ll bump it up to a full 20%. That’s considered “Eau De Parfum” strenght or “EDP”, whereas 10-15% is often considered “EDT”, “Eau De Toilette”.

What kind of fixative does MX100 use? I didn’t see any options to customize.

It should be just like the Instant line – the [Neroli](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/androtics-neroli/) with the nearly anosmic musk.

There are no options to customize the test mixes, and there won’t ever be, since they’re very short runs, and we need them to be standardized as much as possible.

There may be options for customization if & when they bloom into actual products. At least “hidden” options (i.e., you can request the customization via order notes)

I’m just wondering, what does the temperature have to do with the scent? Shouldn’t it be the amount of [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) content that should be increased?

Not really. Remember, our light scent package is not merely designed as a fragrance cover. It is designed in a number of ways to enhance the release of the [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/), using the same technology utilized in the best colognes and parfums.

Basically, the fixatives and highly diffusive molecules are found in the scent package, which then bind to pheromones and regulate the rate and path of dispersion.

Increase the pheromones, and all you’re going to do is OD more rapidly. The increased heat makes them diffuse more quickly, and you’d really be overwhelming (and sometimes repelling) others.

I’ve tried both paths. The latter one is a perfect way to “freak out” your friends, both old and new.

Remember, when it comes to pheromones, it’s not just the actual pheromone molecules that count. It’s how they’re contained on the skin (“fixed” in parfuming parlance), how they leave the skin (“diffusion”), and what they do in their air when they’re off (“projection” and then “sillage”). These are all important factors that few ever stop to consider.
