Dang, I remember when Arbies used real roast beef instead of the chopped, pressed nitrated beef food product they use today. Not to mention KFC’s “honey” is HFCS with a little honey added for flavor.😠

This lawsuit has been dropped now Taco Bell wants to sue for defamation. I think they should.

I don’t know about the laws of the state in which that lawsuit was filed, but unless the suit was filed without good cause I doubt any legal recourse could be sought against the firm that brought the suit. In some States the definition of defamation excludes statements given in court and, if I remember correctly, allegations made in a lawsuit even if those allegations are ultimately proven false.

Of course, this is all dependent on the laws of that State of which I have no knowledge.

_The preceding is not legal advice, don’t rely on it._

I managed for Taco Bell for 7 years, I knew the claims were false, as I worked with that beef day in and day out 50-70 hours a week.
Also on the day the lawsuit was released, Taco Bell came out and corrected the falsehoods in the claim. The difference of what 12% is the fillers including water, seasonings etc. that are not beef.

I’m not an advocate of Fast Food, I think choosing to eat that more often than not is how I gained so much weight before my lap band surgery.
When my parents got divorced in 1976, we went from fresh meals that were bought and cooked that same day by mom, to processed meals such as Hamburger Helper, TV Dinners, and fast food. Everyone in my family gained weight, some of us faster than others.

And to those who say Mexicans won’t eat Taco Bell…LOL. My first store was on the South Side of Fort Worth in a Mexican neighborhood. Most of my customers and employees were Hispanic…pretty much the same as all the Taco Bells in that general area covered by my supervisor a Hispanic man himself.
