I’ve decided that I need to engage in a little contemplative meditation and find out where I am and how far I’ve come in the time that I’ve been using [pheromones](https://a314.com/).

Yesterday I got a string of ‘hits’ that, prior to using pheros, almost never happened to me. So when I first started walking on this road that we’re all following, I was happy to conclude that the pheros were working.

The catch is that yesterday I wasn’t using pheromones at all. I haven’t been particularly social over the past couple of weeks and so they’ve sat in the drawer unused. I can only conclude that my demeanour, body language and outlook on life has changed and therefore, the first impressions that a stranger receives of me as a person has altered. Enough has been altered to make me feel the need to re-calibrate my head, and change my definition of ‘hit’.

I was waiting for a bus, third in the queue, and a little old lady came and sat on the bench to the side. I nod in greeting, she nods back and I’m the one to strike up a polite conversation for a change. It starts off with the standard topic between strangers, the weather, the blizzards we’ve had and moves on to her grandchildren; school holidays; I miss the long, lazy days of summer etc.

We’re chewing the fat and the conversation is bouncing along at a good pace. Normally, it burns out after a few seconds. She’s happy and animated, gesturing with her hands and plenty of eye contact.

I look at the guys ahead of me and behind. Dead to the world, buried in newspaper or bopping to their iPods. I spot a mini-skirted lovely walking towards us. Purple figure-hugging skirt, black lycra leggings, knee-length boots, busty, wearing a ridiculously tight low-cut T-shirt and denim jacket. The animal wakes up, gives her an appreciative up-and-down scan and growls in approval. She asks me for the time and joins in the conversation, eyes wide and permanently locked on mine, smiling with a tinkling laugh and flipping her blonde locks back and forth. Turns out she’s meeting her boyfriend off the train, lucky guy.

The bus comes and I select my seat, deliberately choosing one far to the back, testing them to see if they follow. I sit down and they choose the two in front of me. Both of them make a half-turn to carry on the conversation and it lasts until we reach our destination. They both touch my hand goodbye and the blonde girl gives me a wink. I let them both go first, her boyfriend’s got a diamond of a girl there, and go about my business.

This would be a hit, but it’s not. Some time out is definitely needed. I’ll be raising the bar, demanding more out of the Androtics pheros and it will be a new, more dangerous Musky that emerges.

I would advise users old and new to take regular breaks from pheromone use for this reason.

Sounds to me like the girl already found you naturally attractive for whatever her reasons were. It may have been because you were the only guy there that was engaged in conversation and so you were socially proofed. Could have also been a number of others things like looks, body language, etc. Do you always get these types of reactions when you are not wearing pheromones?

Brings up an interesting question, does your “demeanour, body language and outlook on life” change after constant pheromone use? Is your brain slowly re-programmed?

I think it is the case..the brain is very adaptive, however, I think if you take too much time off of pheromones you will slowly go back to the person you were before ever trying them

However you are now surrounded by the life/environment your pheromone-self has created, so will you remain as mr.pheromone guy for good??

Things to think about..

If you use mones and get good results it’s also due in large part to acting congruent with the signal you’re sending out. Do this often enough and certain behaviors become so natural and easy to do that they are essentially part of your personality. You don’t have to think to yourself “OK the IO will work but only if I do my part and initiate the conversation”. After a while initiating conversation becomes natural.
Then there’s the real subtle changes that come from “expected behavior”. When you experience attractive women flirting and showing interest in you on a fairly regular basis, it becomes expected behavior. You’re facial expressions, posture, and other body language indicators might make minor adjustments that reflect “I’m an attractive man that’s accustomed to being shown interest by women.”

I think that’s more likely than self effects becoming permanent after repeated exposure.
