Do what my mom did โ€“ talk about sex to me while I was in the womb and as a non-speaking infant (practice for her), then abbreviated talks when I started speaking every few months, getting (very slowly) more detailed over the years. She was never embarrassed, and could address things openly. Plus, she always said we could talk about _anything_. (I could even call her names and swear at her for 5 minutes. She laughed and we talked.) Start all this before the kid talks, and the parent is practiced and smooth. ---
