> I haven’t been using phers since like September or August when I ran out. IS/A leaked out once and since I haven’t really used it ever since. The Target guy finally gave me his phone number like 2 weeks ago on his own since his dept moved far from my side and I barely ever see them. I text him once to ask him to save my number but in two weeks he didn’t even bother to text me, not even for my bday which was Dec 17.
> LOL
>
> So, on Xmas Eve, he decided to text me around 8:30PM. I was shocked since I had lost all hope. After texting back and forward for like 2 hours he decided to come to my house pick to me up, and he met my mother, my aunt and a friend of the family. We went out to a local bar had a few drinks and just talk.
>
> After we got back home we stayed outside talking for like 45 minutes. We hugged when he left… and that is it really.
> Then he text me to let me know he arrived to his house safely.
>
> Am I being friend zoned… ???

No from that interaction I read there I dont think the guy is friend zoning you.

> [@](#):
>
> I have told him. This is an on going situation since like August. The thing about this dude is that he is a supervisor. :-X
> So he is aware that I like him. Very aware. But when I told him he was hot there were talks about me becoming one of his agents. (I wasn’t aware of it until later). Later on that week I found out that I was almost transferred to his dept and I was almost going to be in his team.
> He shut me down like twice. Even at one point he told me “There is nothing ever going to go on more than this friendship here. No more than that” I was like"OH OK!" lol I dont really insist or ask questions or be like ohh wwwwhhhyy…I just be like ok… sooo this is one weird dude and by “Friendship here” he meant work.

Could he be concerned, or overly cautious, about sexual harassment, as a supervisor he may have had a talk or “be aware of” rules that supervisors must not have sexual relations with employees

I mean, he’s not married right? If he’s single then I can only think of him being skittish about his role as the supervisor

> [@](#):
>
> The other day I asked him for a favor to a open the door for the corporate level because I was supposed to be in a meeting but my badge doesn’t open corporate doors. He walked me to the meeting room but by the time I got there no one was there, so we were walking back on this empty hallway and I said “So, can I ask you a question” and he smiled and said “Yea…I am still single”. That threw me off from what I was gonna’ ask him to begin with. I was like WTF. I think he likes having my attention, or leading me on but thats it. SMH this guy kills me.

lol yes that sounds like a cocky & funny thing some PUAs get taught lol (saying “Yes im still single” in reply to that Question)

> I have texted a couple of times with him, he goes by my desk when he is in my department. But the super nice guy side of him that texted me on xmas eve is not the same way he texts me now, now he does it but its kinda douchy , playful, kinda weird funny perverted… but he barely texts me though. Its whatever, I really like him but im gonna leave that guy alone. I think I have become his ‘lil homie with no nuts’, that gentle man aspect I liked became like an act he is so weird now. Idk what happened

I dont know what happened either

btw what does ‘lil homie with no nuts’ mean?

Answers:

-He is not married. He is single and no kids either. Never been married.

- The LIL HOMIE thing means like having a -home girl (female friend) that is considered one of the “boys” you know? But I don’t think Im that either. IDK this guy is weird and he confuses me very much. 😢

I guess leaving that guy alone for a while does seem like the most sensible thing to do

All I can think of that as a supervisor he’s abit iffy about going out with an employee, have you two handled that in any way?

I bet the guy likes you though

What kind of work do you do? That might help us understand how what the atmosphere might be like about supervisor & employee relations. Theres afew nightclubs I know where many of the employees are dating their boss. And some other environments where it would be a big no no

> This guy seems to like you. No man is going to drive all that way on Christmas Eve to spend time with someone he doesn’t like and for men “like” pretty much equals attraction. Much can grow from like and attraction.

I’d have to agree with this too, the guy definately likes you at the minimum in some way, otherwise we wouldnt have droven all the way to your place on xmas eve so he definately likes you

Well,
what I have told him is that I don’t want anyone knowing that me and him talk, or text or hang out outside of work. He told one guy that he would hang out with me on NY but ended up not making it. SO this guy told me that the TARGET toldhim that. I personally don’t want no one to know because peopel start talking shit and send bad vibes over lol and to protect him from any trouble. Im not sure what the policy here is.

We work in a technical call center. Im in the first level of support and he is a supervisor in the second level of support which is known as Tier 2.

If he’s a technical guy that could explain him not making the right moves to pick you up

Particularly for example if he is someone who has been doing IT Technical Support for long enough to get to Level 2 supervisor
If we some other route, e.g. social guy who studied business management and ended up at level 2 management/supervision then that would not explain it

In my experience technical companies dealing with technical things (e.g. IT Companies) havent usually worked out that whole social dynamic
that makes it ok for a boss to date an employee and have everything work out well, but the of course highly social
and indeed socially-centered environments of a nightclub, I know quite afew nightclubs where management are dating employees
I reckon the women there have the guys figured out anyway heh

In those nightclubs nobody batted an eyebrow if an employee and boss where dating

I reckon he’s into you because of the xmas eve thing, and at least the talking of making plans for NYE,

I can only speak for myself not this guy but what you describe about his behaviour:

> [@](#):
>
> I have texted a couple of times with him, he goes by my desk when he is in my department. But the super nice guy side of him that texted me on xmas eve is not the same way he texts me now, now he does it but its kinda douchy , playful, kinda weird funny perverted… but he barely texts me though. Idk what happened

I know I have come off as weird, or at least unusual, sending mixed signals etc a number of times when I have experienced Excessive Attraction to a lady
but was running game or trying to play hard to get, but with the excessive attraction playing hard to get didnt quite work out too well and would
be incongruent with the other signals that came through (to her) due to my excessive attraction

When did you tell him this ? Not good. First off people talk shit whether your doing something or not. What people say really makes no difference. Secondly telling him you want your friendship/relationship a secret indicates your uncomfortable with it. Thats going to make him more uncomfortable with it as well. Its going to make him hesitate, not text you, limit work contact.

Your giving him mixed signals and I think both of you are confused now.

I do think you should distance yourself and my guess is he will come and find out why. Then flat out tell him that your tired of waiting for him to make a move. Either you move forward or the friendship will stagnate.

I reckon give him some space, give yourself some space/distance so its not annoying you how weird he is lol, give u some time to focus on other things too

then give him some food, he’ll either come and eat it…or he wont

abit like going fishing, throw some bait, though im not thinking of any hook or reel, just some bait or food and yeah he might come and eat it

The alternative is “Then flat out tell him that your tired of waiting for him to make a move. Either you move forward or the friendship will stagnate.”

always hard to say which one’llwork without sitting their and watching both of you all day lol but my general feeling is to throw some food out there (edit: and of course lean back/make space)

Tisha,

I can’t believe how well you understand men.

I think he’s attracted, but is being strangled by company policy. I agree with what you say, give him some space, wait it out, and see if he comes hunting.

I’m on the opposite end of this kind of deal, but in my case my hesitation is caused by not wanting the lady to feel intimidated about dating her supervisor. There are no other barriers. I just don’t want to make her feel uncomfortable working with me. Does the fact that she keeps engineering dates for coffee / lunch indicate that she would be comfortable with me escalating things?
Sorry to hijack the thread.

Just to add to my previous reply - when a guy has something going with a woman, he generally wants everyone to know about it. He wants people to look at him and say, “wow, he’s with X now, what a cool couple”. For a guy, keeping things secret just doesn’t feel right. Most guys want it in black and white. No grey areas. BUT, I understand that keeping a relationship a secret can be important for a woman; it can even make the whole thing more spicy!
