# technical difficulties

When I try to open a post I get a blank page;😮 Refresh and/or F5 reveals _ **another** _ blank page that smugly annouces that it is “Done”☹ 😕  
Waiting to see if this one “posts” or vanishes"

Sorry that you’re seeing that. Don’t know what that is. What pages are saying that?

Anybody else having this problem?

Most things open as “blank pages”☹ 😕  
the exception so far, being a thread I began, and an attempt to give a recoomendation, which apparently succeeded.

So far so good with me, although sometimes I get a “no new messages have been posted” box even though I’d swear there were some I hadn’t looked at yet. And I seem to get them in my list when I log on later. Like it loses it’s place. And there are times I click on “go to last read post” and instead I end up at the beginning of the thread. Again, like it loses it’s place. Not sure if it’s forum software, a cookie, or my IE browser.

I have had some problems like this before. Sometimes it would give me that white screen where it says something wasn’t loading.. blah blah blah. Another time when I’d click a link it’d take a long time to load.. even though I have Comcast broadband and I can load other pages. I’ve had the long time loading on other sites as well. This has been far few and in between… but what I’ve done to solve this is to completely close the webpage and reopen it and then go back to the website. Other than that it is restarting the computer or just simply waiting. I also every now and then do cache and history cleanups, run Norton Internet Security/Anti-virus scans and Lavasoft Ad-aware and McAffee scans to make sure I’m not infected.

Another thing you might want to check is if you have a firewall it may be interfering if the security settings are too high. I know it was kinda screwy with my yahoo messenger every time I’d load windows. Check in your internet options to make sure certain things are not disabled so you can possibly view it? Not a computer expert here, its just a matter of configuring things.
