Anyone have any views as to why increased testosterone levels make me sometimes very angry , aggressive etc and other times very happy? I have heard of men with high levels being classified as one or the other, but I tend to go between each.

Many people think when your T levels are good you feel on top of the world. I find that to not always be the case.

Any comments?

Testosterone influences Dopamine metabolism and potentiates its activity.

BTW… if you are taking regular dosings of testosterone, there are superior methods. Sustainable ones..

I’m taking a herbal supplement which has been proven to double test levels over time by increasing natural production.. Its not external test nor steriods.

Educate yourself on endocrine disruptors. Seek their sequestering and subsequent removal, storage ones tissues. Chelation therapy will boost your natural levels as I can attest from experience. I’ve found heightened libido, greater “working memory”; and now, furtherance automated assertive composures with females of interest. “Smelling” healthy has positive attributes discoverable elsewhere this forum. Natural phero production most certainly increases, but including exercise really livens the playing field.

The problem with most testosterone supps is that there aren’t any long term studies. The supps you buy in the store can have any chemical in out despite label claims. A lot of the herbal stuff is great when it first comes out then by next year everyone claims it didn’t work and something new takes it’s place.

I’m 51, and for the last three or four years, something didn’t “feel right”. It just snuck up on me. Not wanting to go out in the evening, feeling blue… feeling… old. Doctor ordered bloodwork and it came out OK, so he wanted to stick me on anti-depressants.

I did a ton of homework and felt like I had symptoms of low T. I presented it to my doctor. He said my T was fine (total T of 440). This is in “normal” range, but the range is huge, from like 250-1000, and that is for all ages of men. He refused to do blood work for free testosterone, so I paid for it out of pocket. It showed a 7.9, still normal, but barely.

I consulted with a few healthy aging doctors and an endocrinologist, and all agreed that even though I was considered normal, I was probably low compared to what I should be to operate optimally. I started taking weekly injections about 6 months ago, and recently got T pellets inserted to avoid the weekly dr. visits.

My T levels have increased significantly and all my prior symptoms disappeared. I don’t feel overly-agitated or euphoric. I just feel like my old self again.. like the clock has been turned back 20 years.

Yes, there is some risk in having hormone replacement therapy, but the risk of NOT doing it is much greater.

I myself had T replacement but didn’t like it.. the shots were given by a dumb family doctor who admistered them just according to his book (1x month).. i had a spike followed by terrible roller coaster ride of depression after.

I also had VERY bad side effects like acne.

I now use Tongkat Ali which increases my T.. i feel great. I eat a good diet with good almost of fat (mostly from eggs) and I sleep 8 hrs a day which is necessary for T.. I also do weight training 3 x week and do minimal cardio (20 min walking) for the heart as I hear too much aerobics will kill your T.

I am on medications and don’t feel like I’m 20 years younger at all with the testosterone boost but then again I have just started. Summer time should be a good indicator of my real levels as that is when thoughts turn to love and lust.

During the winter many people including me have SAD and i don’t feel sexual as much although I think of sex quite often.

Also I would like to do heavy squats etc which increase T but I can’t because I’ve got nerve damage in my neck and problems with the discs in my spine and lower back. i also have TMJ in my jaw from boxing in my 20’s. All in all my joints are a mess.

I take a calcium supplement and it has helped but I still can’t lift more than 15 lbs dumbells (actually I can lift even 30 lbs but the joints can’t handle it although the muscles can).

Any advice for me? I still get acne from tongkat ali but I feel f\*cken great.. I use proactive on my back to get rid of the acne.

I also take cialis daily at 5 mg… the only sides I’ve noticed from it are headaches.

i don’t get instant erections from watching porn, I need very constant and vigorous stimulation for what seems forever to get and maintain an erection. It does happen with porn but I have a harder time with real women as they aren’t as good at turning me on compared to how porn stars act.

This tongkat ali i take is supposed to eventually get your T levels to increase by 100% over many months. Its a particular brand grown in indonesia.

Do you find you get easy erections with little stimulation, or have to use erectile drugs too?

All in all sex isn’t the only thing on my mind. I take test boosters for improve body muscle to fat ratio, mood improvement, treatment for depression, and because my natural levels are very low.

I find when I eat a diet high in fat and cholestrol (read, cheeses, red meat, whole eggs, bacon) myerections are much harder, better and more frequent. problem is this can be dangerous long run.

I really am in a catch 22.

^(Not really. The medical profession of today is geared toward the continual repeat of clientele and therefor is not interested in solving the root problem of most disease. I went to the canadian men’s clinic about 4 years ago and took shots from them once a week . It worked better than monthly but i still had very bad acne from it.. I was also worried about cancer.

I like natural remedies like indonesian tongkat ali.. My test levels may not be as high as someone taking HRT but they’re high enough to have sex weekly.

What i’m more concerned is free test.. that is the issue.. And no HRT didn’t cure my depression.. i had bouts of extreme horniness after taking a shot followed by depression and crying… It was extreme probably due to my bipolar i had since age 15.
