I got to say,
some of the posts in the womens forum rock,
i really dont get why more posts arent nominated based on clever, clear, attributable [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) usage…

i mean, im not talking about “i think he thought that”
or
“i think he wanted this, i think he was behaving because”

i mean
“i wore x-y-z and these are the reactions _as i saw them_”

there are alot of them here!

🙂🙂🙂

I agree - it tends to be the over-the-top reports which get consistently nominated

I know, and as much as I love reading those…I reckon sometimes the reports that are more “everyday-ish” and not so over the top slam dunk type hits are better…they give a fairer representation fo what phero’s can do and how great the subtle changes you see really are 🙂

Yes! I Also think there are a lot of “over the top” (ie I have a hard time taking many of them seriously). Im not talking necessarily women’s reports just reports in general.
As a noob myself, I think it gives a bad representation of what [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) truly are. So when someone like me joins and begins to try the pheromones, and we dont hit it out of the park on the first try, (hey if you do awesome.) we/I think something is wrong w/me, something is wrong w/my batch, or everyone is just full of crap.
It isn’t that hard to get discouraged, especially when we (general) want everything “right now” (just like my 6 year old hehe, the internet spoils us I think).

I am _not_ saying that I think phero’s are crap or that the majority of the reports are crap, if I thought that, I wouldve left already.
I just think there should be a real representation of all experiences, even those that had _no_ hits. I think all reports are relative and helpful, the good, bad and the ugly.

Yup, i agree with you guys here. Trouble is, after using phero’s for awhile, you take some things for granted. Like women taking a second look at you when wearing [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/). It just becomes second nature to you and you don’t feel the need to report. So although that’s the daily, ho-hum truth of phero’s, it doesn’t make it into the papers… so to speak. So it’s only when the over-the-top hits happen that we feel the need to report. No harm in that, but when the forums start to flood with only those… gives us a bad impression, i suppose. So let’s try our best to give both kinds of reports, when you have the time. Just a suggestion. 🙄

Exactly, I don’t report on every single hit I get. Somedays, I’d get something subtle, on other days I’d get “normal” hits as well, hell sometimes I get nada! so I don’t feel the need to report on it every single time (unless it’s a phero that I need to test around people for ex. putatives … I’ve hadn’t had much luck with p104/p107 so far _sigh_ lol)

but then like MFG mentions, we get used to it lol, so when something really blatant happens, you’re like holy crap! - my buddies got to know what happened!! Plus, it’s fun to know!

I totally agree with this. That’s why I report every tiny little detail that I think could be a hit. It helps encourage those who are just coming along and lets them know that occassionally I wont have the best days with pheromones, but I get them from time to time. Not only that but keeping account of every single time I’ve worn pheromones I can better help myself so that I can get more of those WOW moments and I can combine products easier. It just helps everyone, including yourself, to stay on top of reports.

This is why I put a lot of detail into the reports. Most of my hits with A314 for example appear when I’m particularly snappily dressed. A314 nudges it over the top with T & A displays, rubbing-up-against-you-accidentally-on-purpose hits that almost never happen when I’m not wearing it.

In other words, I’ve seen nothing that violates the 90/10 rule, although sometimes I’m tempted to call it the 80/20 or even 75/25.

With few exceptions, the hits I get with pheros when I’m not deliberately making an effort to look good come from young children. They haven’t developed the social filters necessary to screen out some crazy responses. 🙂🙄

I think there needs to be more of a balance actually. Every look, every glance is not a “hit.” There’s the social effect of us “looking” for hits, combined with a whole slew of other things. I think Tisha’s advice is the best - look around yourself FIRST - know what’s normal for you FIRST, then start attributing things as “hits.” It’s the ‘out of the ordinary’ for YOU, not necessarily every single little thing that happens, that are “hits.” That can be big, or it can be small.

I had one big hit early on that was my lightbulb moment. I also had real subtle hits throughout the day that added up to a different “vibe.”

i agree jlor,
but i see alot of over-the-topness
that turns me off off of some posts
_not because i dont believe it_,
but because they are stated in ways that leave too much room for it to be everything other than the pheromones.

i wouldnt be here if i didnt know how great this product is.
but everyday definately is not over-the-top.

i think the subtle hits are the sweetest anyway,
because the big hits sometimes (ok,most of the time) leave a
WTF vibe
along with all the greatness of the situation,
and the subtle ones
definatley make the magic look

I have a tendency to report my best hits. Not that the subtle ones aren’t worth reporting. I write them in explicit detail so that there’s understanding on how those hits occurred. Some people may take it as over the top and that’s fine because, believe me, sometimes I can’t believe it myself.

No matter where you are, what you’re doing or whose company you’re in _you_ must do the work. There always remains the question of exactly how much influence is from the pheromones. I get hits with and without them. In the end it’s mostly me one way or the other. So, the question remains.

My reports are as honest as I can make them. My job is to report. Whomever is reading can just take them for what they find they’re worth. Some people may not like my reporting style. NP. If they don’t like what I have to say or the way I say it, they can just discount it and move on to someone elses report. 🙂

What is really nice about pheromones is when you can get the big hits so often they become the new norm. I truly believe there is lasting (though not permanent) effects that can be achieved with pheromones.

Take Est for example. My husband can be very irritable. He can be easily aroused in a not so good way, become angry at the drop of a hat, and not easily brought to a better place. That is his norm.

I started using Est, and the change in him was so over the top, so profound, so good… I really thought, “What will I do if there comes a time when I can’t find any more Est?” and I wore it every day.

I don’t wear it every day now, more like every three or four days. Even without Est, my husband is better, not so easily aroused. And when he does get angry or irritable, he responds to that as if it is not his norm any longer. He gets himself under control, apologizes and works hard to restore the harmony. I guess he likes who he is under the influence of Est. And even with no Est, he works towards being that person.

And that, I think, is the real magic of pheromones, especially the ones that promote harmony, peace, good feelings all around - it feels good to be part of that and not so good to not be part of it. Once you experience it enough to know it isn’t a fluke, that this can be how your world really is, you just don’t settle for less any more.

Exactly! I dont think every look, smile, or small gesture is all because of the phero’s, things can just happen.

I do think Lor’s advice is very good, and even then there could till be things you miss as hits or false hits.
In the end I think one has to just use their best judgement.
In the “real world” amongst social beings it’s not going to be “scientific and unbiased”. You just do the best you can do, and if everyone reports, hopefully there will be enough info gathered to decipher the results.

Mind you this is coming from a noob, w/a noob perspective.

Oh that sounds like something my bf could use lol.
Eventually maybe I can get away w/something like that.

I did read on another thread that people can also get use to a pheromone and no longer have an reaction to it as well. How are these two different reactions related?

which 2 reactions?
im not sure i understand.

i know that when you are first exposed to a pheromone mix, the reaction can be great.
after acclimation to it, it doesnt pack a punch anymore.
you can habituate to a mix or molecule.

so the trick is to cycle the mixes and not use the same one for so many days in a row.
🙂

oooh zoolander is one of my faves 😃

haha I had a feeling that question might be confusing, I wasnt sure how to ask it and it shows lol.
Basically err are the two reactions, one being the effect a phero over time has versus the fact that someone/others could also get use to the phero.
I mean how can both of these statements be true?
They seem oxymoronic, like how can it have an effect over time, yet at the same time lose their effect altogether?

However, I thought maybe it’s just matter of mixing them up enough and not wearing them all the time, seems like a tricky balance to me. I guess it also depends on the person, so many factors so little time.

and yes Zoolander is awesome lol, too many good quotes, but for some reason I thought the one in my sig fit pretty good in the environment. 🙄 lol
I also think A Night at the Roxbury quotes would also be very fitting lol.

I think I see what you mean, Ashesblue. First of all, we all have our own pheromonal signature that varies a little bit due to our own internal state, health, time of cycle, age, etc, but is basically stable. People who know us, who are close to us a lot know that signature subconsciously. We _smell_ like the person they know.

If you vary your pheromone signature too much, too rapidly, it can have a very disturbing effects on those people who know you well. Because they can’t place you pheromonally with who they know, they can respond to you in weird ways, or just ignore you all together. This is a sensory and subconscious _overload_. This is an instant phenomenon and we’ve all experienced it at one time or another. The response to _overload_ is usually _ghosting_.

It takes time for someone to get used to knowing you with a new pheromone signature, and it is easier on those people who are around you every day if you change your signature up slowly.

But it is also the people who are around you every single day for multiple hours that can become unresponsive to the new pheromone signature over time as well if you don’t vary it a little.

We are wearing 100’s to 1000’s of more molecules of pheromones than are produced normally. Using pheromones this way is kind of a shock and awe approach. And people can only respond to the same shock and awe over and over again so many times before they aren’t shocked and awed anymore. They become _acclimated_. When a person becomes acclimated to your pheromones, they don’t respond in the same ways anymore.

By varying your signature a little bit every day you avoid both sensory and subconscious _overload_, and pheromone _acclimation_ in those people who know you well and are around you every day.

Another issue that hasn’t been touched on much recently that can cause ghosting is _congruence_. That is being in line in your behavior with your pheromone signature. I won’t say much about it except to point you to a really good sticky on the men’s forum on this issue.

I hope that cleared it up.

ha!
what diane said.

i think we cant help but vary the mixes out of our own nature to experiment,
doses, cycle, forgetting one day altogether, ect.

i think all of that is to our advantage to some degree.

i think though if you use a molecule for a significant amount of time,
the amount you vary
doesnt matter _as much as_ your usage of it in general,
and then good habits/behaviours arise from it.
