okay all…confessional time for me, i was diagnosed a few years ago with low testosterone…which was news to me..other than serious fatigue i felt fine. anyway i now use a transdermal gel of testosterone and i wonder if that is sensed or reacted to in the same way as [pheromones](https://a314.com/)?
i’m just curious if that is why i get the reaction from people i get…i live in pennsylvania dutch country and have been told time and again how unfriendly and unwelcoming these guys can be but i have never had a problem being accepted or opened up to by ‘yorkers’. of course maybe i just don’t really care if they like me or not so i don’t notice if they are unfriendly. anyone have any ideas or guidance or recommended reading for me on this one?
as i keep mentioning i do get people being very friendly or looking to me as the one to answer questions even when i am willing myself to be invisible! and people tend to trust what i say even if they have no clue who i am…so i guess i wonder if it is just me or the testosterone gel i use? and i wonder what will happen with pheromone supplementation if that is the case?

Or
The gel is ramping up your testosterone to a level where you’re producing more mones.😃

What were you like before using the Testo gel a few years ago-were you getting these kinds of ‘friendly’ reactions when you were younger?

Also regarding Jim’s point that the Testo gel could be ramping up your Testosterone to a rate where you are producing more pheromones-that is true too. You could try putting the Testo gel on a leather belt or another piece of clothing so that it doesn’t increase your internal levels and then see what kind of reactions you get from just the ‘scent’. Also you could try getting a female you know to sniff right at the spot where you applied the gel and see what her reaction is. I am very curious about this.

Is that stuff a prescription or a GNC type product. Do you have any info on testosterone deficiency?

toilofday,
the only info i have on test deficiency is that you need to be tested for it before it can be prescribed for you..i am using a generic version of ‘androgel’ called ‘testim’..you could go to either site for info. because of my age(39) and lethargy and lack of libido, as well as some itchiness on my nipples my doc decided to check the test level and it was low.
there are supposed to be natural test enhancers but because you can have potential side effects it can be touchy. but check sites like [bulknutrition.com](http://bulknutrition.com) and they have all sorts of natural test raisers. the only prob with raising your testosterone is the potential for also increasing estrogen…your body tries to maintain a balance so when test increases estrogen generally will try to match the ratio. bulknutrition also has all sorts of great estrogen blockers/inhibitors for guys(it’s primarily a site bodybuilders use). if you block the estrogen receptors with some other molecule that fits into the receptor you reduce your estrogenic effects so, if i follow correctly, your body will try to boost it’s own testosterone output to attempt to increase estrogen…don’t take my word for it but that is kind of the impression i got…but the products do block the ‘e’ receptors. test supplementation actually bothers me in the sense that i worry that perhaps another hormone is the culprit and we are not really getting to the root of the matter. hormonal balance is such a delicate and fine tuned operation in our bodies and they function in such synergy but oh well…sorry for the long rambling reply!!

as for the other question…yeah people have always thought i was their best friend…long before test supplementation. here’s an example that really stands out to this day!! maybe thirteen or fourteen years ago i was an assistant at a hair salon. i basically prepared(shampooed) and /or finished the clients for the hair stylists. this lady i was shampooing was chatting with me in a somewhat normal manner then proceeds to tell me that she is cheating on her husband with his best friend! i still get lots of unneeded personal info from people but nothing that compares to that ton of bricks! i’ve learned to just leave it to maybe they needed someone to talk to and i just appreciate that they trust me with their info, i try to hold it somewhat sacred..unless it’s just whacked out and then i talk smack about them! :D(forgive my strange sense of humor)

> hi visionary7903 and thank you for the welcome…
> i don’t try so much to wear it as a pheromone…it’s just how i have to apply it..it’s in a gel form that your rub in til it dries but you can still feel the film forming agent holding it in place so it can slowly disperse. it’s applied to my upper arms so if i am wearing short sleeve polos like i normally do then people are probably fairly well exposed.
> off hand i don’t know what the dosing is, but people have always liked me even when i wasn’t in the mood to be friendly…so i don’t know what it is…i’m not a bad looking guy(i don’t mean that in a cocky way..) and i know people tend to be nicer to people they perceive as attractive. i tend to get my way a little more…but of course i try to do it in a nice way(i’m originally from the south where we learn that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar). anyway..thank you again for the welcome and for any and all input/info you bring along!

No worries Joseph, good to have you on board. Already I can tell that you seem to be pretty corteous and well-mannered, and couple that with being attractive (at least reasonably), I can see why people may be open to you, even without any [synthetic pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/). Who knows, you may have produced plenty of Alpha Androstenol and Beta Androstenol naturally as well, even if your internal Testosterone level was low before. I think a lot of that stuff has got to do with size of apocrine(sp?) glands, amount a person sweats, etc. I have met plenty of overweight and seemingly unhealthy people who naturally have attractive phero signatures and vice versa.

Again I would be very interested of hearing your experiences with using the **Testosterone gel as a pheromone on the skin**. You could first get some experience with the great products at Androtics, just to see what to look for with regard to ‘reactions’. Then you could tell us of your pheromone results with the Testosterone gel - I wonder does Testosterone signal friendliness, is it sexual, does it cause massive respect, is it an attractant? It is just so hard to get access to this molecule as it is prescription-only so please do tell us sometime what it does!🙂

All the best

Men with high levels of testosterone are generally calm and reliable (contra the stereotype of testosterone fuelling rage and irritability). So people could be reacting to the vibe you subcommunicate (look up the autonomic nervous system), it could be a conditioned association (you smell like somebody who is calm and dependable) or it could be a hard wired thing. Probably some mixture of all three.
