One of the intro posts the other day asked about the ethics of pheromones. Now while the person asking didn’t quite understand the limits of mones, it is an interesting issue and I post this with the hopes that folks may come across and have any suspicions or guild allayed.

The Ethics Issue, or, The Pheromonal Response

The title is chosen, for one, to come up in search terms, and to contextualize this with the limits of the response. I have bounced this around in my head a bit even before being asked this and responding to this asker’s post let me know that others may be having this issue as well. Now, while I encourage everyone to come to their own conclusions, I am writing this article so these folks may have an easier time coming to terms and finally jumping into pheromones. The reason is that even with the short amount of time I have been using pheromones, my self-esteem has shot up, my sociability is through the roof, my life has improved dramatically, and I feel like I can do anything. Now while some may not need pheromones for this, the extra edge that these products offer can make a world of difference to someone who isn’t already inherently successful.

The Ethics Issue
Is the use of pheromones ethical? That question I have seen and heard several places, and it IS a valid concern and with really widespread use and commercialization, it could even become a problem, but I will get into that later. Are pheromones ethical… The short answer is yes. Pheromones will not remove free will, change made up minds, or give you control of another person. Yes there have been some VERY extreme reactions observed, sexually, emotionally, or otherwise, but the fact remains that pheromones will not brainwash anyone. The only uses I have seen for pheromones so far are your typical life desires: friendship, business, relationships, sex, etc. And with the right attitude and social script, these can give you an immense edge over others who we are competing against. There are many stories about being able to “gain the attention of that glamorous girl who has never paid attention to you before” or “the high value customers wanted to talk to me and wait for me for no reason, even when others were more than willing to take their business”. Pheromones can elevate your value, appeal, sexiness, and what-have-you, to others, making their use very appealing. Now what hasn’t been brought directly into the view of ethics but has been observed is the effect of pheromones on those who may be vulnerable. People with weak personalities, mental retardation, and other susceptibilities can be easily swayed by a pheromone response. Inappropriate behavior, lack of boundaries, revealing lots of information, even a flat out irresistible attraction can be created in those who lack the mental faculties to process the signals going through their brain. I’m not saying that a weak personality makes a person mentally retarded, but it can make them susceptible to strong, if not irrational, feelings about people. Without dwelling too much on this issue, it is safe to say that when dealing with susceptible persons, it is best to avoid the use of pheromones, especially sexual signals. If you are in a situation already wearing pheromones and confronted with this situation, tread carefully, the consequences could be unpredictable. The real dark side of this issue that quite simply needs to be brought to light is use of pheromones by predators. I will disclaim this here and now by saying that I have never heard of them being used for such a situation, nor do I think there needs to be a background check before purchase, but I think it should be known. We all know that predatory personalities can be very smooth and have silver tongues. I experienced this personally: I knew a guy who was quite the upstanding fellow: he played sports, was in a reputable fraternity, a 4.0 student, had a steady girlfriend, and was a cadet in an officer training program for the military. About a year after I met him, he was arrested, convicted, and jailed for rape. That may seem off topic, but it shows that anyone can be whoever they seem to be. We all know that abductions, rapes, and murders occur every year and sometimes the neighbors and friends of the subject will say they never saw it coming. Now if predators can get ahold of their targets with their guile alone, what happens when they get a shiny bottle of sexual attractant or something that elevates their level of perceived trust. Pheromones could become a monitored, regulated, or controlled substance if the problem were bad enough. We all know that the media would jump on, blame, and villianize pheromones if they found it related to a case. Now as I said, this is the darkest of darkest scenarios and it may not happen for a long while, but I do believe that it is inevitable. The thing to take away from the ethical situation is don’t do it for the wrong reason. Using it to gain the attention of the gal who mesmerizes you is fine. Spicing things up in the bedroom is fine. Even getting laid at your junior prom is fine…. ish. But don’t do it to take advantage of the quiet shy girl down the hall who clings to people only to drop her when you get bored. That is WRONG.

The Pheromonal Response
I probably just painted [pheromone products](https://a314.com/shop/) in a very bad light just now but I believe it had to be said. What is important to remember about the ethics issue is that pheromones will not brainwash folks (for you). Dropping the dark side stuff of the last two pages, before you start using pheromones you need to realize that pheromones are more like a new really cool shirt than a magic wand that hypnotizes folks. You know when you meet someone for the first time and depending on the conversation you come away telling your friend about the vibes he was giving off? Well those vibes are your perception of him, which takes into account all 6 senses (I may as well add pheromonal responses as a sixth sense for the purpose of this article). He looked great, cologne smelled good, voice was dreamy and confident, handshake was firm, we’ll not get into taste, _and I just had this good feeling about him when he walked up_. That feeling could be pheromones. I once heard pheromones related to cooking at one point and I feel that is a good analogy. When you are creating a mix or using a pre-made product you are cooking up a set of subconscious vibes for yourself which, when applied, create a cloud around you. People in this cloud start feeling the effects of the pheromones and will usually associate those vibes with the first person they meet, especially if they have a scent to relate it to like a cologne. Whatever mix you have applied will imprint the people you meet with the effects of this encounter, so if you have the confidence and trustworthiness mix going on, your future boss will say, “that guy seems like a straight shooter, I like him”. On the same token, pheromones will affect _everyone_ around you, so if you have a high –none sex mix on, the gals may like you, but the guys could hate you. Similarly, in that situation, it is also common to see girls associating those feelings to other guys, so those are two things to be wary of. You will also find that people have different levels of sensitivity to pheromones, similar to their ability to smell. Some folks will be able to smell you out, even locate you, and I have a ladyfriend who can tell the difference between IO, IS, and IH even though they are all the same scent. So while your mix can get you tail with one girl, it doesn’t mean the whole female population is in your pocket. Everyone requires a different touch and that touch will have to come from you. Having a good mix is great, but it requires you to play the part. If you are having a shitty day and are acting like it, no amount of sex pheromones will make you attractive; in fact, people might end up disgusted with you. Each mix will require a social script, in essence. If you were going for the professional businessman, you would apply A314 and act professional. If you were aiming for some tail, you would put on AMMO and act cool (or crazy, whatever works for your target). It is important to match your attitude and actions with your pheromone signature otherwise you will get no reaction or negative reactions from others and you might as well just save the money… If all you took away from this is that pheromones to not brainwash, that’s good enough for me. Understanding the limits of pheromones will help you use them and will improve your chances greatly at whatever effect you are trying to achieve.

Adding these together shows that pheromones can be used responsibly and that there is a limit to their effectiveness. I hope that if anyone had any ethics related questions that they could be answered here. If not, feel free to post below!

I think about the ethics of the mones a lot.

I had an experience of getting hits off my boss’s gf and I felt awful about it.

The reason that brought me to this forum was to get my ex back. My usage of mones may have backfired a bit because I used none when she was pmsing soooo karma’s karma lol.

So I tried to influence her but free will is still there. That doesn’t change the fact that I did try to influence her.

I believe a lot of people discover mones in their attempts to win back an ex. For me I found this site about 3 months later than I wished I had. Would it have made a difference? I really don’t know. I do know I am a very different person because I had to go through a learning experience that allowed me to grow.

In the end I still use mones. I agree that some people may not be as ethical in their usage of mones. I always feel uncomfortable when I read posts by people looking for younger girls that aren’t of age. Is the person that’s posting actually in high school? Or are they someone looking to be predatory?

I get a lot of hits off younger girls but I know I won’t take it anywhere. Likewise I get hits off much older women too. I can choose how I act. Mones are just a tool.

I believe at some point mones will become more mainstream. When that happens there will be more people educated about how and what mones can do.

Maybe there will be a social fallout as a result of mainstreaming. Will a girl think I am so into this guy but is it real? Are mones involved?

Of all the people that purchase products and post here, there are a small minority that have actually told their partner/so/gf etc about their usage of mones.

Would you actually tell people that you use mones and how it works?

Would you actually tell people you work with what you’ve been doing?

I wouldn’t and that says a lot there about my own perception of mone usage.

Depends on who I’m telling. At this point, I wouldn’t mind telling any girl I hooked, but I’m not going to put up posters about how great they are.

The most pertinent reason for this right now would be greed, second is ethics. A lot of students here, especially the rotc guys, have the disposable income to become pretty good users. Whether or not they actually would, I don’t know, but I think that the widespread usage of [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) would eliminate the effect completely. I also know some guys of questionable character that I wouldn’t want to have pheromones, they’re just assholes and I think they might misuse them. Sorry AD, I don’t want to short you money, but I don’t want to lose my edge either. 😃 I will definitely spread the word on my way out.

I do wish that I had known about mones about a year ago. I had this Junior that I just hit it off with and I had even been over to her house but the point at which it ran out was sitting on the couch and just not being able to converse. After that our schedules split and she was gone. We’re still friends but she is married now and still as amazing as ever. Anyways thats the past and it doesn’t do any good to harp about it.

I doubt that anyone would have the cohones to come on here looking for advice on how to commit statutory rape. I am easily convinced that we have high schoolers looking for an edge to get some tail. If I had known, I would be one of them and probably would have had a better 4 years of my life…

As for the mainstream, I know that it will get more popular, but I am still unsure that it will come to the scientific level that it is here. Even so, they can still be misused.

And now my rambling is getting discombobulated… so I’ll leave it be for now…

I have been asked a few times how I can be so calculating when dealing with girls I’m interested in and if I’m just “playing” them.

To anyone who thinks like this, it’s not that I’m a cold unfeeling machine only out to perfect my game, its that I have a good memory and I feel others might benefit from my experiences. When I am with someone, whether or not I have mones on, my mind goes into high gear and imprints very well allowing me to relay my experience. If anyone thinks that this is unethical, then they dont deserve relationship advice 😃

Perhaps that’s what it comes down to.

Greed.

Greed for the power to influence people.

Which brings us to the ethics of using that power.

You can’t take away free will but you can strongly persuade someone with mones. There’s a responsibility with this and there is no application or interview process to determine if one is capable of being responsible.

I like the looks that I’m getting. It’s me saying I’m here but I’m not actually talking. In fact, I am piquing a woman’s curiosity and letting her think wow I need to find out more about him. I have no problem saying I’m greedy for this.

I’ve always been relatively shy although I know I have a higher erone profile. I’ve always seemed to be asked or pushed into a leadership role of some sort. Maybe it’s congruence because I did a lot of online gaming and the only thing people have to work with is what you type or when using skype/teamspeak/ventrilo - your voice.

The looks that I am getting is congruent with the physical shape I am in now.

Mones have allowed me to vocalize my confidence more. The feedback loop of boosted confidence to IOI to more boosted confidence has been amazing.

They say everything is fair in love and war. This is definitely an edge.

I’ve only told one person about my mone usage. I actually have sent him a number of togos and he’s a believer.

What it’s done for him is take him from being meek and unsure of himself to an extremely confident person. He never had women notice him til now. He never would have talked to them.

In the end it depends on the person who’s using the mones. Some people will use it to enrich their lives and those around them. Others will try to use it for less seemly purposes.

I think that’s a real good connection there. I definitely know I wont give away my secret 🙂

But what makes that secret different from anything else like a silver tongue or a cool shirt? I guess it’s that pheromones affect others on a subconscious level.

My answer to that: _So does everything else._ Count pheromone reception as a sixth sense and it all goes away. The only difference is that we generally know how the pheromones will affect people. That’s where the difference is. Where some people may not like your Budweiser shirt or your southern accent, we have good results that tell us “do this to make this happen”. That’s damn cool. That’s social science. That’s my edge, and I ain’t giving it up.

This is actually some pretty deep stuff were into 😃

I think you guys are overestimating what mones REALLY can do, lol. Had you guys gone to your high school proms? If so, did you notice that some girls that were just okay or decent, looked stunningly gorgeous or very hot that night with their heels and nice dresses. That is what mone could do for you. Also, let me see… have you noticed that girls look prettier with nice earrings, dress and make-up? There you go; mones are like that…

It is akin to losing 15 pounds (if you are fat), gaining 10lbs of muscle (if you are skinny) or growing 3 inches… Does it do anything? Yes, it adds much attraction, in addition to whatever else you bring to the table. However, mones alone won’t get you to the promise land, which is, at least to all guys here, getting to take girls’ panties off.

I agree with Coolkat and you are giving pheromones much more power then they have and have taken many reports out of context. You have listed some things there that phermones just can not do on there own.

Yes there are predators in the world. Not everyone is ethical or has the same values. Do not cast a dark picture on the tool but those who use the tool for dark purposes.

I liken it to a gun. Guns do not kill people. Its the person holding that gun and if he/she did not have that gun and it was there intention to kill you they would do so. They would just use another tool.

Pheromones are one small part of communication. To a predator body language and verbal skills are far more powerful then the pheromonal signal.

Did you know that I can kill you with a fork ? I can give you a hard on with a fork to. Its not the fault of the fork its what I do with that fork that causes the reaction.

Its not the tool but the person wielding that tool that influences the outcome and it is the same for pheromones. The thing about pheromones though is that they can bring out or uncover the best aspects of the person wearing them but they can also make the worst attributes shine though as well. Making the predator qualities in a person stand out more clearly then other forms of communication.

Mentally handicapped people are always more susceptible to all forms of communication. Should we stop communicating with them all together because of this ? Socially handicap people are rarely effected by pheromones or any other social cues or tools.

I will say this about pheromones. The person wearing pheromones is more likely to come in contact with a predator then those exposed to them. You will attract them to you.

Like everything else in life tools can be used or misused but the fault always lies the person using them and how you choose to use them.

Hmm… I thought I hit it on the head… What have I taken out of proportion/context?

The ethics issue is playing **devil’s advocate** , you can’t see the media eating this up if a rapist had a huge stockpile of the stuff? I am in no way trying to say that pheromones are unethical, it’s how the person uses them.

I mean, sure, a hammer is ethical until you bean someone over the head with it, but again, that’s already been through the media, it’s now more of a second page paragraph than a headline… Media will sensationalize anything that is new to the public.

You just compared pheromones to a hammer. That’s sensational in and of itself. It also gives too much credit to pheromones. Would you compare the ethics of wearing vertical stripes because they make one appear slimmer to using a hammer? That would be a similar comparison to pheromone use.

Yes, sometimes pheromones can have an astounding effect, but no more than learning to color co-ordinate.

I did not say your post was all wrong or that you took everything out of context. You also made a lot of good points as well and I am sorry I did not point that out this morning when I responded. People should be responsible in there use of pheromones. I understand that is the main point you were trying to convey.

The Hammer is not ethical before or after it hits someone on its head. Thats my point, its a tool. The person using the tool is responsible for how that tool is used. They do not put the hammer on trial. Its the person using the hammer they put on trial.

They can not be swayed by the pheromones alone. Only by the person wearing those pheromones and there intention. They do not take away a person ability to make a rational decision.

If you should avoid “susceptible people” then dont bother wearing them because susceptible people are among us all the time. I send a sexual signal pretty much every where I go without the use of pheromones. Should I stay indoors for fear I may encounter a susceptible person ? Of course not. My being sexual has nothing to do with other peoples self control. Pheromones to not make people lose control over their emotions or responses. They do not make anyone do something they do not want to do.

While I agree that people should not take advantage of the shy girl who clings pheromones alone are not going to make her cling. Pheromones just open the door its the person wearing them that has to walk threw that door.

This is true and pheromones have been in the media. This science may move slowly but pheromones are not new. They have been around since the 50’s and 60’s. Its only when people hype them up or portray them as more powerful then they are that can send the media into a frenzy.

Well, yeah… one can build a case for interpreting events one way or the other… in our cultural context though, we consume prodigious quantities of ethanol, probably enough to cause liver damage and maybe even brain damage… and these products, which are known to be massively disinhibiting, far more so than any pheromone I’ve experienced, are heavily promoted to the young adult (and in reality to the teen market, you’ll never catch a “beverage” executive admitting to that)… when you consider the sheer volume of wildly dysfunctional behavior, assaults of every stripe, vehicular accidents, loss of workplace efficiency, directly caused by ethanol based products… pheromones aren’t even a statistical blip…

We’ve normalized ethanol in our society because it is a big money game, like nicotine is a big money game…we’ve made our peace with substances that do terrible damage if misused, because somebody is laughing all the way to the bank…

We’ve normalized plastic surgery… if a girl has her breasts enhanced, is she sending unethical false social signals ? If a guy borrows for a gold Rolex to create the impression of being successful, is he guilt of self misrepresentation ?

If a guy wearing a gold Rolex who’s living out of the back of his car picks up a girl who’s living in a refrigerator carton but has great tits, and he insists he’s really Prince Charming and she insists that she’s the next Miss America and she knows Donald Trump personally, was an awful social fraud perpetrated ? And if they were both so drunk they couldn’t recall who said what, who or what caused the evening of wild sex back at her refrigerator carton ?

Yes, it adds much attraction, in addition to whatever else you bring to the table. However, mones alone won’t get you to the promise land, which is, at least to all guys here, getting to take girls’ panties off.

The majority of people who work out in the gym, to lose weight or to get bigger aren’t doing it because it’s healthy for them or its because it will lower heart disease. Yes it’s a fringe benefit of it, but we do it so we can look good so that we can have the best first impression out there.

Probably why the ethics issue comes to pheromones is that people here believe that they have an “unfair” advantage over people who are naturals at the game, or just in the middle and don’t have the “advantage” that pheromones can give. It’s almost that this is a secret society and we’re secretly manipulating people and only a select few know if it. Because it’s not mainstream it seems “unethical”.

The fact of the matter is, humans have different developments when it comes down to finding the right mate out there. Many have had hearts broken and been disappointed on a consistent basis. Whether it may be their upbringing, fears, looks, or preference that prohibits them from finding that happiness it’s hard for a lot of people. This is where everyones valid point comes in, we ALL do things to make sure we put our best foot forward so that we can show our interest how good we really are on the inside. We all have faults and vices and our little things that aren’t perfect, but I would like to believe that most of the people here are here to have pheromones help show them who they are. Yeah as guys we wanna get laid, but no one here seems to do it to maliciously hurt anyone’s feelings. Pheromones are just an extension of your personality, a suit that’s custom tailored, the key that opens a door. Whatever it may be, it is only a SINGLE part of who a person is, and the reactions also won’t change people’s feelings about you, it won’t make them keep taking shit from you as you keep abusing them, no it’s not like that, it helps people who aren’t natural at those things attain them with the help of pheromones. Whether it’s an effect of wearing it that someone becomes more charismatic, alpha, confident, sexual, you need to exude that with your body language. Body language is still the #1 tell of how a person is. Don’t you notice that if someone says something incongruent with their facial expressions or body movements, you get suspicious, they can have a priest uniform on and you would still have that nagging feeling they are lying.

Point being. Pheromones don’t make the (wo)man. The (wo)man makes the pheromones.

I lift weights because it is more of a hobby for me, lol. I guess, some people do it to look good… However, I run ocaasionally to lower my LDL and VLDL, and keep myself in shape.
P.S. Attraction is relative person AND culture; ask Asian or European girls, if they find American “alpha” guys attractive. They would say no. They rather want pretty boys, we would called gay or metro.

I really don’t think it’s unethical, people are just somewhat uncomfortable because it’s new. But its something you use to give you an advantage with the opposite sex, just like nice clothes or anything else. Back in the 50’s the media were calling cars “whorehouses on wheels”. That doesn’t sound very “ethical” to me, but the car is doing alright today.

I also can’t help thinking, that since pheromones are naturally produced by your body, how can you say it’s unethical? If the other guy naturally produces more pheromones than you, then using these is just making up the difference. If my body was making as many as I wanted it to, I probably wouldn’t have been online researching pheromones
