I volunteer at a nonprofit: fantastic people (haven’t met one I don’t like and respect), great facilities, shared purpose, and I enjoy the work. (Even the paperwork, a tangle of ad hoc policies tumble-weeded together over the years, became rewarding, once I got used to it)

I was well-accepted and popular in the group from the outset, ~6 months ago, but quickly settled on IG and oxytocin (LS’ Liquid Trust, which is not strictly a phero, but works for me because I suspect, based on decades of interesting incidents, that I have a unique and strong phero signature in certain respects, even at ~50) with some IS thrown in from time to time, due to the reactions of my direct supervisor on my primary shift, a 30-ish lady who is one of the volunteer organizations few paid staff, and who becomes a bit critical and standoffish when I use pheros, even though she is very friendly to others and is friendly to me when I’m not wearing or after a long post-shift when my pheros have worn off [e.g. after evening meetings]. I won’t blame it all on pheros: we think very differently and have different backgrounds, and I sometimes make decisions (e.g. prioritizing conflicting tasks) that she doesn’t understand. She’s not wrong: I accept her reasoning and am getting steadily better at doing things her way (I’m here for the group, and don’t WANT to push my own agenda), but it’d be a bit easier for both of us if she understood my reasons for my decisions “in the moment” (sometimes we can go for 4 hours without any significant activity, then have literally 10 unrelated major things happen in 4 minutes, so spot decisions matter)

To complicate things, she is in a very serious relationship with a good friend of mine. Is that relevant? I’ll leave that to you to discuss.

In any case, I’ve come to realize that she’s pretty much my best single barometer of how well a mix is working: the less well she reacts, the better the response of the heterogeneous mix of public and members I deal with. (Talk about turning negative to a positive!). I have noticed a similar but lesser reaction from a member in her late 60s (which doesn’t affect our friendship because we “equals” in that group) and noted different pattern of paradoxical response another volunteer (mid 20s) with whom I worked for a few months. (This ‘girl’ WANTED to be friends: we’re both friendly, and I drove her home late at night due to the bitter cold and a streak of local assaults, but we never really clicked due to few shared interests and cultural reference frames). Romance is not a problem for me, but I want improve social interactions all around.

For various random reasons, I decided to re-explore my mix. As a former researcher/clinician, I’d always meant to start a journal, but didn’t, because her responses to “effective” mixes dissuaded good experiments. I could have tried other settings, but my volunteer work seemed safest.

Today, I tried a mix of A314 1.34B and IS (1 spritz each per wrist, lightly rubbed together) primarily intended as a social mix. The response was dramatic enough that it reinvigorated my interest (which had never really flagged) in experimenting. I got uncharacteristically stand offish responses from 2-3 friends, but almost classic deer-in-the-headlights from a few male, heterosexual friends and a male and a female with whom I’ve always been friendly, but always slightly “on the wrong frequency”. If I’d videotaped our prior interactions vs. reactions today, it would’ve been the best Andriotics ad possible. There was simply no mistaking the change.

But that was just one day. The plural of “anecdote” isn’t “data”, and I didn’t get a chance to test against all the people I know best.

It simply made me feel that this would be a good time to revisit the classic “OD response”, and any experience/tips you might have. OD is, to my mind, one of the core questions of the phero users experience, and I don’t recall it being addressed as a standalone topic in a long time.

The A314 is a status enhancing mone. Generally it raises the status of the wearer. For people who you’ve known for awhile this is odd and not the [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) signature theyre used to you having. Since you want this new status, what you need to do is 100% own that new sig. Be confident, take charge and eventually they will accept it and you wont see the difference. What it basically is doing is making you friends feel like you are more alpha, more in charge and in their mind that’s not what your sig said before. The mones will give you that great new aura, but you’ll need to convince people its real. With a314 it is so much easier to do, believe me. I used to be the classic corner introvert. Now Im the youngest leader in my company, take charge with friends and embody alpha.

Except that A314-b/IS is unlikely to be an OD, or at least not in the classic sense as there is no None in IS and its only present in a tiny/steering quantity in A314.

I’d suggest that what you are getting is a classic and sudden status/challenging response, which is not quite the same thing as OD. Its immediacy is probably more due to the up-front and less subtle diffusion of the [A314 spray](https://a314.com/product/a314-classic-spray/). The slower and more subtle nature of oil suits workplace use as you don’t have to make your mark status-wise in minimal time - you can allow it to grow/develop more naturally around your colleagues.

As Trickster suggests, the onus is now on you to take the lead and show them that they can still be social around you despite your repositioning yourself. It can take a little while but the rsults should be better than before. 🙂

I should clarify that I’d decided to use my volunteer group as a testing arena from the outset, so it’s not a “change” to them. I wanted a safe arena, because I’ve long believed in [pheromones](https://a314.com/) (though I rarely used them) from experiences going all the way back to Jovan Andron in my youth. As a former physician, I know that almost anything that has an action will have unintended side effects, so I chose to do my early experiments in an area where the risk of negative consequences was relatively modest.

My status in the group is good. I inherently tend to became widely known in any new group within weeks, and this was no exception. Indeed one of my initial goals was to moderate my natural “in charge” aura, because I joined the group to learn and grow, and I know that my manner and aura makes some people feel like I want to be dominant. It gets in the way. We all know physicians who act like (or are reflexively treated like) gods. That is not my style. Sure, the ability to dominate was fun in my youth, but by my late 30s I came to prefer a more empathetic style, knowing that I still have my innate traits “in reserve” when needed.

I should also say that over the course of a typical volunteer evening, I interact with dozens of members whom I know fairly well, and perhaps a dozen newcomers (another reason that it’s a good test bed), but aside from the volunteer supervisor, the few less-than-positive responses were modest, easily overlooked were I not actively observing. Otherwise, the responses were overwhelmingly positive. No complaints there.

Some people interpret “phero OD” as literal “overdose”, but the Pherotalk glossary defines it as “Opposite of Desired”, which encompasses a broader range of mechanisms. Like the rest of us, I find the range of effects, subtle and striking, on multiple axes, fascinating.

I posted this question because (a) I’d always meant to participate more in the “field research” here; and (b) I realized that the one significant negative responder had led me to limit the range of compounds I was using. Last night’s isolated test reminded me of the range of effects that are possible, and reinvigorated my curiosity. I realized that many of you have dealt with such situations, and wanted to share in your experience.

It’s more of a hobby than something I want to use for life change/benefit. I’m happy with my life, and though I wouldn’t be averse to using pheros to improve it on occasion, I don’t see much need to, on a day to day basis. I know many of you are “optimizers” (“if you can make it better, why not do it as much as possible”) and I’ve shared that impulse, but at this point in my life, I’ve come to appreciate a deep quiet contentness.

But life is subject to change at any moment, so who knows what lies around the corner. In the meantime, at least I’ll gather helpful data.

Just a quick update:

I’ve worked a couple of shifts since I last posted, and whether through coincidence or conscious choice, the supervisor chose to leave soon after I arrived, and returned after my shift was over. We’ve traded a few emails this week (including her quarterly evaluation of my work), and she doesn’t seem to have a problem with me personally.

It may have been hard for her to work (for whatever reason) at her desk nook behind me, flooded with pheros every time someone opened the front door. She went to her other work site [just a short walk away]. If that a workable alternative for her, I’m glad it’s an option.

I’ll do some serious thinking about how I can be more considerate. Unfortunately, she seems to react most negatively to each mixture that most other members react most positively to. I think I’ll start only using them when I’m off-shift working on personal projects elsewhere in the building, and take a brisk walk after application to let the pheros meld into my own chemistry (which would be good for me anyway – I spend too many hours at a desk or lab bench)

It’s just courtesy, no different than when an asthmatic co-worker reacts poorly to your aftershave. My scientific curiosity can’t/shouldn’t trump human concerns.

Sorry for not updating ( I really need to start my own blog), but I thought I’d report that [Molecule C](https://a314.com/product/molecule-c/) (aka, I believe, TAC ) has had some strikingly positive effects. One girl couldn’t stop calling me “Sir” despite her obvious interest, snuggling up against me for over an hour of walkin around [1 spray Molecule C on a base of A314].

I’m sure that’s just an idiosyncratic response, but if you’d been there, you’d have found it both striking and funny. Certainly others commented on it!

I may have written Molecule C off too soon. Androtics sent me a free to-go with my order about 6 months ago, but it leaked 80% almost immediately, and it seems to work much better for me in combination with A314, which I’d been rarely using because I was looking for “sociable” vs “status overkill”.

I tend to do the same experiment repeatedly for more reliable results vs trying a new mix each time, as the weather heats up, I’m going to focus more on oils than alcohol-based To-Gos – but if Androtics decides to toss me another trial of TAC, I’ll certainly give it a try when the right situations arise (as I know they will)

certainly hope you start your journal, vanadium

molecule c is interesting. i notice when i put it on other people, i start doing kegels.

kegels, for you mens out there uninitiated, is when a lady starts squeezing her pelvic muscles. sex exercise. getting ready for the big WHOA.

sometimes, when i see an especially creamy male specimen, i’ll kegel out of nowhere, with little thought attached. you can guess that other caucasian women are experiencing this too. watch the ass cheeks. usually we can slip buy stealth. i’ve climaxed quietly in a boring lecture hall.

but if you know where to look, you know what’s going on. look at the neck muscles and the ass cheeks. if you can see a little strain in her neck muscles, but her eyebrows seem “unstressed” or at the very least “not bitchy”…mm…something’s happening…

oh and a lady’s spidey sense is on the 10000%. you can’t get off in public space without being acutely aware of the position and eye-direction of every breathing creature in eyeshot. so if you see a hard nippled lass quietly making her day less boring in her cubicle, and you get the bright idea to touch her back or something and make her cum, she knows exactly where you are at every micromillisecond and will bury her path even quicker… unless she wants you there looking at her…then…stalk away/your invitation is in the air.

i say this for the sake of observational science…this is expert level lady courtship

hopefully Team V won’t be pissed that i’m giving away our stealth secrets.

i share because i care.

_and i secretly wish more men wouldd appreciate the subtle language of pussy._
