That made me chuckle a little . But the more I think about it, the more I believe it to be true. It makes perfect sense from a instinctive/procreation standpoint, its really not that surprising. What IS surprising is how so few perfume/pheromone companies seem to recognize it.
I wanted to get some honest opinions (from one guy to another), so I finally worked up the courage to ask two of my male friends to poll their buddies. I was surprised to get such a unanimous response, since they were a pretty diverse group (not just club junkies). The conclusion I came to is (and remember this is just for getting a guys INITIAL attention) - A guy will show interest if either A.) He finds something about you physically attractive, and/or B.) He gets a whiff of what he really wants - sex (specifically, your lady parts).
I hate to put things so indelicately, but I think the above statement is pretty accurate. Of course all guys are attracted to traditional perfume, but since we all wear them, it almost becomes a wash. I am starting to think that the best way for a woman to set herself apart form the crowd is to play to that basic primitive instinct all guys seem to share. I imagine thats why products like Essence of Woman were developed. I guess they figured sweet/floral perfumes were a dime a dozen, so they wanted to take things up to the next level (or perhaps ‘down’ to the primitive level).
Anyway, I would love to get the opinion of some more guys on this one. Have any of you ever had the chance to try something like EoW? Its definitely one of the most popular scents over on the womens forurm, and I think for good reason. Its just a shame that its the only product of its kind out there. Perhaps with more male input, products like these would become more popular (for the benefit of both sexes).
Its difficult to really get the natural scent of a woman from any product. EOW, in my view, really doesn’t smell like any woman I have been with, nor ones that I want to ever be with. Does it work though? Sure and I know this from personal experience. Not sure why or how it works, but I definetely get a bit tigerish when I’m around copulin products.
Yes I get turned on by the smell of pussy (when its smelling good, not when there’s something wrong down there)
I think healthyness, usually translates into things us men find attractive, and a healthy woman with a healthy/clean pussy, the smell would turn us on
I cant say what the effect of EoW would be on me as I havent ever smelt it, I heard copulins can smell rather bad, but I see many women are reporting success using EoW.
This would work imo
I’m sorry to say this, but 99% of guys will approach (or want to/get-interested/notice) a woman who they find attractive and they want sex from or think they are going to get some
Kind of a generalisation, its deep within all men, at their basic/primal/instinctual level and this of course filters/translates up to the higher levels of thinking and influences them greatly
That does kind of raise questions for me about what a womans perspective would be, if she was using that to get a guys initial attention, might it be something she isnt looking for if sex is the first thing (or only thing) on his mind and what brought him to her
Well I think its safe to say sex is usually the only thing on a guys mind anyway (half kidding ), so I dont think it really matters. Like I said, the goal is simply to get his initial attention, then its up to our charming personality to seal the deal (and ultimately wrap him around our little finger).
Youre right, apprently it IS very difficult to synthesize. I think thats only half the problem though. The other half is that I feel very few companies out there seem to recognize just how powerful this scent can be (or maybe they consider the idea too taboo to be successful in the mainstream).
Such as? In my experience the only product that came close was EoW. I understand that no two women smell alike, but I have found that other copulin products seem to lack that unmistakable pungent kick. Youre right when you said it does have a very strong ‘unwashed’ quality about it, but if it were too subtle that would kinda defeat the purpose. I am sure somebody can come up with something better, and thats why were here .
I’ve always wanted to know, how do you get a guy from “he just met you, sex is the main or only thing on his mind” into now he wants a relationship with you?
You may not want to spill your secrets, but thats ok, I’ll forever be in the dark :laugh
Copulins do more then just make men think about sex with you though.
They raise mens testosterone levels when by 150% when they are exposed to it “on a women” or with a visual of a women. Its like a chemical reaction that occurs. This was tested in the Astrid Jutte studies.
Men are a bit more forward and daring, they actively pursue. Now you have men that do that anyhow but there are also many men who hold back for whatever reasons and this helps give them that nudge. I know its perfectly acceptable for women to approach men but many women still wait for the guy to do the approach. No matter how the sexual revolution changes the male approaching has always been the natural order of things in all mammals. Its instinctual.
Also in the Astrid Jutte tests men rated women more visually attractive and youthful when exposed to copulins on them. Sort of like the tests done with anone where they spray a chair and all the women want to sit in that one chair in the waiting room. The anone signals youth and vitality. Men are drawn to the copulins in the same way.
Thats the difference between men and women though. Man’s instinct is to procreate. Its not all your guys fault, your built that way to ensure the race. Men are looking for youthful fertile women to impregnate. Woman’s instinct is to find the most compatible guy, the one who can provide for, protect and produce the strongest off spring. This is partly why aggressive men get more women even when they are the “bad boy” types. Instinctually these are the type of men who produce the strongest offspring. Granted the world has changed on a conscious level. Men and women look for other attributes but our instinct is at the core of us and still governs many of our choices.
@ tisha - Couldnt have said it better myself. I think a lot of women simply dont want to admit that couplins/vaginal scent can have such powerful effects. Maybe they find the idea ‘icky’, rather than natural. Maybe they want to fool themselves into thinking that men have evolved past the point where they would have such a strong reaction to a such a ‘dirty’ smell. As you pointed out, BOTH men and women still have some very primitive instincts that still exist to this day, so why not exploit them?
I still think the quote from my initial post is pretty dead on. So the question becomes, when are more products like this going to become available? Do any of you guys have a problem with a woman using a more natural/pungent fragrance in place of, or in addition to, traditional perfume? Maybe not for everyday wear, but at least to get your initial attention?
This is so true; even modern liberated women seem reluctant to admit to the natural power of their vulvovaginal scent. Why any woman would think their natural perfume is ‘icky’ or ‘dirty’ is beyond me - it’s the exact opposite - powerful and subconciously attractive to men. I don’t understand why we seem to fight the natural order of these things when we really should embrace natural copulins rather than smother ourselves in a million other scents.
