**What is MX455?**

What the heck is a [Pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) Analogue?

Well. Let me start at the top.

While we were sniffing around, researching different components for the Stealth Diffusion Experiment, we found a very interesting odorant indeed.

Just on NOSE alone, it was a cross between something like androstenone and P130, scent-wise.

So we were like, “What the heck, let’s try this out as a pheromone and see if it gets any hits?”

A few of our designers tried it out in the Pacific Northwest over the Christmas holiday. _Something_ happened. I’m not gonna say what, so your thoughts and reports don’t get flavored.

“What’s a pheromone analogue?”

Well, an analog is a synthetic version of something real. Think butter popcorn flavoring. Is it real? Naw, it’s a bunch of fragrance compounds stitched together to give you the idea of the BEST BUTTER EVER.

So, we’re sniffing this odd molecule in our Stealth Diffusion Experiment palette, thinking, “whoa, this smells a lot like if Androstenone and P130 had a baby. What the could the effect be? Or…?”

Keep in mind, it may be a dud, too. Who knows? This thing ain’t even a _pheromone_, it just smells like one. _Can the human nose tell a difference???_

**How to Test:**

Spray like you would your usual cologne or perfume, on your usual pulse points.

This mix has been calibrated to work best at a two spray dosage. Start there but try everything.

Spray. Let dry. Sniff. Does the smell remind you of anything? What do you notice yourself feeling?

**What to Report:**

We’re collecting data on a few parameters, which I’ll explain here.

**- Strength** - How strong did you feel the effects? On yourself? On others? Did it hit you over the head, or was it more subtle?

**- Length of Effects** - When did you notice the onset of effects? When did you notice the outset? When did it peak? When did it wane?

**- Tenacity** - Tenacity refers to staying power, or the aggressiveness of the cologne. Does it seem to “attack” people around you, or is it more of a “slow burner”? Does it seem like you can point your fume in one direction or another?

**- Effectiveness & Consistency** - How effective is this mix on a scale of 1-10 (1 bad, 10 killer) Have its effects been consistent over time?

**- Diffusion/Sillage** - Sillage refers to your vapor trail. Think of it like the wake of a ship. How many feet/meters is your vapor trail? Do people seem to follow your silage?

**Other weird questions that help clarify:**

If it were music, what would it sound like?
If it had a texture, what would it feel like?
If it were edible or drinkable, what would it taste like?
What celebrity or public figure is it most like?

Ask yourself these questions during and after you’ve gotten a good feel of this mix.

Posted this in my journal but decided to add it here as well… might be useful to someone! Any other ladies try this MX?!

**Date:** 13 May 2012, applied at 12:15.

**Product:** [MX](https://a314.com/)[455](https://a314.com/) - one spray to my neck and one spray between my forearms.

**Cover Scent:** Marc Jacob’s Daisy

**Environment:** At Home

**Self Effects/Effects on Others:** Over the last few months i’ve gotten quite a few freebies with orders so i’ve decided to start testing the various [MX](https://a314.com/) 's to see what they do! As far as I know, these mixes are meant to be part of the [Stealth Diffusion](https://pheromonelabs.com/) range but oh dear God… this one smells terrible! Thought the smell would dissipate after a little while but unfortunately it didn’t. Even when I tried to cover it with perfume the smell still came through. It’s not a vile smell per-say but it kind of stings my nose…if that makes any sense! It kind of smells like alcohol but there is something else in there too.

Shortly after I applied [MX](https://a314.com/)[455](https://a314.com/) , my grandmother joined myself and Mam for dinner. At first I didn’t notice anything unusual but as the afternoon progressed, I got a real sense of [MX](https://a314.com/)[455](https://a314.com/) and its effects.

13:30 Nan told myself and Mam to stop fighting - oops! I’m not sure what happened but as far as myself and Mam are concerned, we were not fighting. We were simply having a conversation but Nan seemed rather uncomfortable with the situation.

14:25 Nan again tells myself and Mam to calm down!

14:50 My Aunt and Cousin called along to the house and things got really interesting! The highlights: Mam was in and out of the kitchen and seemed uneasy - never staying anywhere for long; my Aunt choose to stand rather than sit; and the two puppies were allowed into the kitchen (usually they have to stay outside!) and were running around the place causing mayhew.

15:30 I eventually make my escape from the house. Couldn’t stay there a moment longer or I would have killed someone. Kind of felt like I needed to do something productive so I went to the grocery store and got a few things that we needed. Heaven forbid if someone had gotten in my way because I would have walked through them.

**Date:** 13 May 2012, applied at 17:30.

**Product:** [MX](https://a314.com/)[455](https://a314.com/) - one spray between my wrists.

**Cover Scent:** Marc Jacob’s Daisy

**Environment: At Home - In Work**

**Self Effects/Effects on Others:** OMG…I don’t know what possessed me but I decided to spray myself with another shot of [MX](https://a314.com/)[455](https://a314.com/) . BAD BAD IDEA 😮😮😮

I’ve never felt so aggressive, impatient and pissed-off in my entire life. Just as well I was home alone or there could have been awful consequences. It was like I was being consumed by a terrible rage which seemed to be radiating from the centre of my chest. Although I knew in my head that the [mones](http://www.pheromonetalk.com/) were causing my response, I found it very hard to control.

20:30 Thankfully by the time I went to work - things had calmed down considerably! Although I had experienced some really negative feelings earlier in the day… I was really focused in work. I got all my jobs done quicker than usual and even managed to do some additional work. I even managed to tidy behind the counter because I had a few minutes spare - usually I would mess with my phone!

‘D’ who I was working with yesterday - was much chattier today and was acting like my best friend. She complemented me tons and was telling me all the gossip. Huge difference from yesterday when I wore [P83](https://a314.com/product/p83/) around her.

**Duration:** I can still smell the [MX](https://a314.com/)[455](https://a314.com/) - 6 hours after my second application. Going now to have a shower - i’ve definitely had enough of this [MX](https://a314.com/) .

**Other Observations:** I’m not sure what [mones](http://www.pheromonetalk.com/) form the basis of [MX](https://a314.com/)[455](https://a314.com/) but I reckon it has to be one of the men’s products because i’ve never experienced these effects from women’s or unisex [mones](http://www.pheromonetalk.com/) . It’s been an emotional roller-coaster and i’ve never experienced anything like it before.
