I typically lay low for 3-5 days before rejiggering my brain from one strong thing to another… good to step back, take stock, get perspective… fish oils are nice in theory… however if you knew where they were getting them from and how they pre-process them you might not be quite as sanguine… it is a _byproduct of a large agribiz type industry_… of course they know to put it into well designed bottles that give the appearance of labs full of white coated scientists thinking of nothing but your wellbeing… even that once noble label “organic” has been so polluted by federal regulations that true organic producers refuse to use it anymore…

The Flora brand makes some of the best stuff that really is as it is made to appear to be… Udo Erasmus, the edible oil guru, has given his blessing for a Flora brand sold as Udo’s Oil… seed oils not fish oils…

My experience is that the body and brain needs a good (but not excessive) does of Vitamin D combined with Vitamin K… recently it has been discovered that Vitamin K is important for the maintenance and repair of the myelin coatings that keep nerve impulses clean and efficient…I suspect many forms of brain aging and brain abuse directly involve the loss of myelin…

Good to see you again tacitus dispensing words of wisdom! 😉

Yeah I agree regarding the comments re: taking nutrients before delving into the nootropics.

There is also a school of thought that one should take precursors to the neurotransmitters rather than running on stimulants for example:

> The bodybuilder stack is pretty extreme. Even caffeine alone can have you running on empty in terms of dopamine and norepinephrine. Combine that with yohimbe, aspirin/willow, ephedrine/ma huang, etc., and you really don’t have neurotransmitters to spare. Put another way – stimulants put the foot on the pedal, but they don’t refill the gas tank. The stack is also very hard on the adrenals, so you get more into race metaphors. If you take your car out to the track often, you have to be willing…

MHarris wasn’t specifically talking about pheromones in that post.

Some other ideas might be simply to wipe the mones off when you don’t really need them (for example if you are alone, P74 might not be the best thing to have on). Minimise the time you have a product on that you are especially sensitive too. Applying any problematic products away far away from your nose should help too (eg. back of neck application). I also favour slower released formulas over quicker release - for example the Beta Androstenol in CTTM seems tamer in terms of burnout than the Beta Androstenol in IH (and the Beta-Nol in CTTM seems to last for a solid 8 hours+).
