Well Like Lor said I just wanted to share with you, the thing that turned my life around. I am happy in doing so, and feel like at least I have influenced some of you to start thinking about changing your life as well. I have a better life than the one I had and for me to go from that place to where I am now happy and wealthy by just applying a few principals of LOA, that is enough evidence for me, that the Law works. There are a lot of hyprocrites in churches now, have been in the past, and will continue until the inevitable occurs. Anyways, in short, I do agree with you in that regard. There are closed minded people in all walks of life. I personally believe that an unbiased opinion is non-existant. ---

Wow, that is ridiculously esoteric. Sounds like watered down occult magick practices to me. Aleister Crowley’s Abrahadabra without the detailed numerological quabalistic method of gematria. Abrahadabra = I will create as I speak. He also wrote of the importance of egolessness in ceremonial magick, necessary for focusing one’s thoughts to an object through ritual. Law of attraction seems to be based off of the writings in The book of Law. Oh the irony. Gnostic Mysticism anybody? ---

I bought a bunch of the secret stuff about 3 months ago, and have been studying it, and listening to the audio tape- which I think has way more info then the documentary. I have tried it a bit, and I have noticed things, but if it was the LOA or coincidence, I couldn’t tell you, cause I haven’t tried it enough. It all sounds easy in the secret, but when it comes right down into it, trying to think positively, and watching your emotions, is a lot harder then it seems. I still can’t get out of my head the lessons my parents have instilled in me which is hard work equals success. So right now I am content with just working hard and running on default as the secret calls it. I would really like to use the secret, but I’m to lazy to get my mind into the mode, and to jump onto the right frequencey, maybe this EFT thing will help. Thanks for the post Carmine. ---

Not working hard doesn’t mean you sit around and laze all day. It means you do things that you’re utterly passionate about, so that your “hard work” becomes “fun work”. Have you ever get yourself engrossed in something you find so fun doing, that the more you do it, the more you find yourself energetically charged? That’s your calling and that’s what you should do. Don’t worry if it will make you any money or not. Like the guys in Google. When they first developed the search engine, they have totally no idea how to turn it into a money making venture, but their passion carries them through. In fact, their earlier investors were _pissed_ 'cos no money is turning in… look at them now! ---

I think all this “happiness methods” are a result of our society today. We all get the essential things so easily (food, money, entertainment) that suddenly so much focus in our lives are directed towards our own feelings and well being. The commercial world works hard to keep us in a constant state of “unsatisfaction” to keep us buying things… they have very sophisticated techniques for this, and it is their sole intention. This is one reason (if not the only one) for us to keep looking for ways to be satisfied. If indeed LOA makes you happy, thats just great, but I think that in the end it comes down to hard work and **looking at life with a sense of humor.** Probably quite a classical point of view but still for me feels true. PS. If you think about is, most ads tell us we are not enough (without this special product). There is a clear LACK of encouragement in society today, which I believe makes us look for alternative methods… DS. ---

Thanks for reminding me. It can work even if it’s not in some supernatural way. For example when I first saw this I had decided to go to australia travelling. I didn’t have a clue how I could afford it what I’d do, I just trusted it and announced that I was doing it as if it were a given. Through this I found an old friend who was already going and has family accross there. I am now going with him in October. I am currently a grand short of funds to start my trip but I know that I will get the money within the next four months and am ordering my visa next month. Knowing this in my head means that instead of wondering “can i?” my brain is constantly thinking “how?” which I think most will agree is a more resourceful state. Even if you dismiss it as mumbo jumbo, nobody can deny that having focus and belief in something will make you 100% more likely to get it than sitting in a dark room all day waiting for life to fall on your lap. ---

im not even sure those that _think_ its supernatural understand that its _“like magic”_ but that there are “laws” that are natural and provable. like how some thoughts naturally open you to possibilities that never would have existed if not inspired and going in that direction. 2 different people can lose their houses in a fire, one can surrender to loss and give up, the other can see it as opportunity to start over. many ways to view its success. ---

I don’t think these “happiness methods” are new. I dug up my copy of the Silva Mind Control Method. Law 1 You must desire the event take place Law 2 You must believe the event can take place Law 3 You must expect the event to take place Law 4 You cannot create a problem. Sounds pretty similar to the secret. Then from the bible"What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall receive them." ---

This thread has been pretty interesting. I’ve gone to Amazon and ordered a book on the law of attraction. It’s not by anyone mentioned in this thread, but the information given about it sounds the same, and all its feedback has been very positive. Just a moment, I’ll go check who the author is. . .Ah, here we go. I ordered _The Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t_ by Michael J. Losier. Looks like it’s already shipped too. I look forward to receiving it so I can check this out. It actually sounds kind of similar to what I’ve believed for a few years now anyway. ---

I’ve learned about the law of attraction and I’m telling you it works. I bought the book that was from Micheal J . Loiser. AND put it down after a while but im definitely going to try it again. One of the excersises were to put something you want under a topic. So I put relationships with girls and came up with 20-30 things that i dont like about the current girl life i have and 20-30 things about what i want. So far its working since more girls in my school have been showing interrest in me recently . I cant wait I;m going to watch more of the secret which i’ve purchased. I have/had Low focus , Depression and a BIPOLAR syndrome . I guess my cries for help have come in . I got introduced to this thread and learn’d about eft which i just ordered 84 dollars worth of info on from Gary’s official site. I can’t wait to try it out. These things can apply to anyone. I’m only 14 and they work for me . I definitely suggest you try it out ---

And to all the people that put down LOA. You guys shouldnt even though it sounds like complete bull 🙂 . Wacth the movie , The secret and you will see how everything works then purchase some books on it. Guaranteed if you give it some time it will workout for you. If it dosnt you can go spam everyforum and say its bullshit and tell them that for a fact that you’ve tried it if thats your motive or life mission to put people or things down. Matthew ---

Yesterday I went to the store, and what do you know, I just happened to come across a copy of The Secret. So I purchased it. I figured I could read this while I’m waiting for my other book to be delivered. Anyway, I’ve already nearly read the first hundred pages. It’s very interesting information. I mentioned in my last post I thought this sounding similar to what I’ve already believed. Well let me reassess. It takes what I already believed to the next level. Since experimenting with my thoughts a year or two ago, I came to the conclusion they can have a massive effect on how you felt. I believe that being concious of your thoughts can even help you with depression. Reading the information on the Law of Attraction, it is that and more. I find the concept of your thoughts having a certain control of outside events to be interesting. I’m already trying it out, but so far its still to early to tell what my results will be. Though I have noticed a marked change in my emotions. The funny thing is last night I even dreamed of practicing the LOA. 😃 ---

I am so happy for all of you and I hope you keep me updated on how all of you are doing and how much the Law has changed your life! I just wanted to make some more suggestions on other great books some of which you may find at your local library if you do not wish to purchase. \*The Science of Getting Rich _By Wallace D. It has been an _ **amazing** _ few months, as I was nudged back onto the LOA path through a seminar that I took at work. Afterward, I entered “Law of Attraction” in Google, found “The Secret” and the Abraham-Hicks site, and have done a lot of learning and remembering (because this isn’t _new_ information; I can look back and see events in my past that were definite results of the Law of Attraction, though I wasn’t aware of it at the time) since finding them. I, too, bought “What the Bleep” and have been lending that DVD as well as “The Secret” DVD to friends and co-workers who seem interested. What a great thread!
