Real feeling, real quality in connections does exist… I’d never argue for the opposite extreme that all romantic relations are frauds, illusions, or capitulating to the paper tiger running dog capitalist system of alienated labor… OTOH, it is useful to observe and take note of how expertly your mindset is generally being manipulated to sell stuff… think of it like this, if it were so obvious you immediately caught on you’d never fall for it and their advertising millions would be wasted… ideally you’d want to build a bland, **pavlovian consensus** that at any given age bracket, you “are” one of a fairly small segments of **lifestyle clusters** , to use marketing speak… the marketing industry gives these putative clusters, or customer types, sub-poetic names like _Young, Dickless, and Disoriented_… or _Talk Back To The TV Mouthbreathers._… and then they construct marketing campaigns to “capture” that segment.. so in their meetings they’ll zero in on the Young and Dickless segment, they’ll try and locate a bunch of the Young and Dickless, interview them, get into their heads, learn what their secret hopes and desires might be, hire an ad agency to create an archtypical Young and Dickless character that hopefully the real Young and Dickless of the world will “buy in” to… this concept of **Buy-In** is vedddy important… until you get **Buy-In** , nothing happens… so a product is launched, a fragrance-hair gel known as **Throbbing BulgeX** … with the tag line “be your own pornstar(R)”… and it is definitely made from the cheapest, nastiest shite the formulators (chemists who dropped out of grad school) can concoct… until the competition launches **Djizzm!** … which has parakeets dropping dead in their cages when they get a whiff of it… ---

Don’t give away all of our secrets. I love February. I cut prices on all of our t-shirts that have anything to do with love or heartbreak. Then I sit back and watch orders being processed. I agree with some statements that have been made on this thread, I’m not giving any of you the satisfaction of knowing which ones. I do disagree on a few serious points. First of all I believe that men invented romance. From the beginning of time women have known what their greatest assets are. They have done a great amount of marketing and caught the attention of their target, heterosexual males. Women leverage their assets to barter for security by marriage, emotional security, or for money from the dawn of civilization. Frankly I don’t blame them. I believe romance was an invention to get past the various shields, trials, and test that women have invented to protect their assets. The concept of romance actually benefits both parties. It allows for more permanent connections between to people to be created prior to consumation. This helps to insure that the female assets maintain their value, and the hidden emotional needs of men are also met. Unfortunately society and the marketing whores have destroyed the original concept. Now men and women never finish the ritual. Instead we go over it again and again either with the same partner or with a new one leading to disillusion and frustration with the entire ceremony. ---

basically… it isn’t a good idea to overgeneralize a concept to each particular… these are broadbrush learnings, I retain the right to adjust, adapt, and reflect as each individual enters the picture… there ARE people who are good for each other, there ARE healthy relationships, there ARE healthy family systems… just as there are are opposites of those… however it may be an error to apply _crisp logic_ to the social equation… there are also plenty of fuzzy in-between states, women who have settled for second or third best (if I told you the number of proper married women who have sent me STRONG signals that they would leave their husbands in a blink once it became known to them that I might be a good source of money, you would simply vomit… and I frankly was so disgusted, as breaking up marriages is far beyond my personal pale, once I got a sense of where a surprising number of upstanding citizens were really coming from, that’s when I started thinking long and hard about Plan B)… guys who kinda sort drifted into marriage because that’s what everybody else was doing and people eventually begin to figure that you’re abnormal on some level if you aren’t married and settled down by the time you’re thirty… guys who unexpectedly found themselves fathers to be… basically because nobody got the necessary distance on what they were doing and why… all create this foggy fuzzy land of confused decisions… is this really me thinking here ? ---

Well now that I have been properly chastised. 🙂 Here is the section that I agree with. Well… this is the unexplored aspect of pheromones… although some of them are more exploratory or depth-revealing than others… and this can be true of certain combinations of them… TAL is clearly an awareness enabler… this is an important subfield of [pheromone research](https://pheromonelabs.com/)… it is pretty clear to me that there is a great deal of evolutionary (in the sense of personal growth) when two people are in a place that combines a mixture of candor, confidence, access to less visited, less known parts of the self, expanded empathy, talking with fewer games and filters… beta-nol now seems like a useful but simplistic starting point in that direction… however you’d be amazed at the things that freely flow from someplace in the back of the mind… women go to this “I can’t freaking believe I’m saying these things” place which sometimes does result in subtle freakouts… because these are partially concealed aspects of the self… unconcealing them also results at times in potent moments of self discovery, this AHA, so THIS is who I am flash in the mind… call it a creative loss of control… b/c there are many psychologies that are organized around the control and hyper-control… ---

The pastor seems sincere and considerate. But perhaps his wife’s problem is he is talking with spirits when he’s supposed to be communicating with her. I can see where that would make a wife want to limit the experience to once a quarter. ---
