Remember it is Mark-In-Dallas who mixed these… I seriously doubt that he hasn’t personally tested any of the individual molecules/mixes that he sent out

The Putatives are chemical components found on the human body. They are analyzed by various means (including smell), chemical structure, etc. Those components that are potential pheromones are synthesized and tested. Those that show pheromone characteristics are made available as _putative_ molecules. The word “putative” means supposed or accepted. It implies that it is unproven. That is why we are testing them.

Some of the putatives I’ve tested, I’ve had adverse reactions to: headaches, amphetamine-like reactions, extreme anxiety and muscle tension, inebriation, sedation, tachycardia, and/or anhedonia. Not everyone who has tested these same molecules has had the same reactions.

Because the Putative have yet to be definitively categorized, and because all their effects are unknown, it is important to treat them with respect and caution. And that means not spraying them into the faces of children, especially very young children.

Interesting…yeah I’ve been getting a slight headache/tension from this last bottle and my fingers still feel weird. I’m not tired even though I got maybe 2 hrs of sleep last night, and I’m feeling kinda anxious only its a weird anxious I’ve never felt before. Like I’m anxious, but I can’t tie it to anything at all…I’m just anxious for no reason.

Diane, you are absolutely right!!

Though there were no adverse effects, I will definitely not do that again. Because it had had such positive effects thus far, it simply did not occur to me that it could be harmful, though it should have.

Wait, what? So your not gonna us the bottle anymore?

I’m confused, you just said it didn’t have any negative effects. So why stop?

My thoughts exactly.

I am _not_ saying that “these things are dangerous.” I am saying that _each individual_ (adult) needs to ascertain for themselves their dosage level, usage and threshold for effects.

OK, a couple of things I just want to point out:

1. Rest assured that if I’d had any concerns over Sillykitty’s report on the use of bottle 2 around the 3 year old boy, I would have spoken up and said something!

2. I did not say anything because she had already said the child seemed to react very well when exposed to it earlier at breakfast, then later after spraying in his general direction he quickly quit crying and calmed down.

3. I have not seen any adverse reports from anyone on the product she was testing, and it does not include any pheros known to cause negative or adverse effects.

Next, as to the what’s in the bottles, I never said any of them DO contain MX’s, I only said they MIGHT contain Experimental Test Mixes. To make things a little easier, I’ll now say that none of them do. The bottles with mcg levels listed are either Putatives or Experimones (Known Pheromones) and that bottles without mcg levels are either Consumer Porducts or Pre-Release.

I have tested with all products sent, and while I would not have personally selected the product(s) in a couple of the bottles sent out, they were included for reasons I won’t say! 😛

As to any concerns over improper testing, I don’t think it’s anything to be worried about, as the phero queen, god and goddess are all aware of this thread and have a list of what’s in the bottles. I know that Steve and Tisha have been monitoring the reports, and while Jasmin hasn’t stepped in and said anything yet, I’m pretty sure she’s been flying in stealth mode and has porobably popped in a time or two. If Sillykitty had talked about the child acting in any way but positive to the phero exposure, I’m nearly positive that one of them would have also spoken up.

… I’m really not interested in beating a dead horse, but it’s an _aspect of behavior_ (spraying children, _especially with an unknown substance to her_) as opposed to _what’s in the bottle_ that I objected to.

Also, at her frequency of application and randomness of reapplication, there comes a point when one has to question the levels/mcg’s she is exposing to children around her.

Now Bella, you know that wasn’t directed at you, cause I know that you always rep anyone deserving of it. Heck, you even rep my posts. 😉

I wasn’t really directing that statement at anyone in particular. I just want to make sure the girls get the credit they deserve for not only coming up with the idea, but also having the courage to follow through and actually do the blind testing!

Still the thing is there were no negative effects and thats all that matters. Children are old enough to tell you if they have a headache. Now babies are another story, but children are perfectly capable of telling you…their not stupid. So I’m gonna have to side with Mark. Besides that how are we gonna know if their able to be sprayed around children? It’s not like were scaring them for life or severely hurting them.

You don’t know that. And that is the point. Putatives are not toys and they shouldn’t be used in a lackadaisical manner. Would you give your 3 year old meth amphetamine? That is the reaction I got with a low dose of P100.

I’m sorry, but spraying putatives, or any unknown substance in the general direction of a child is just as irresponsible as smoking crack around one. I’m sure whoever is doing that will say no harm done as well.

I don’t know what? That children will give you some indication that they are hurt? They sure will. I’m studying that aspect right now and even infants will cry out if something is wrong. Now if they get a strange affect then you’ll probably only hear from the older children (2 yrs and older) but even then, what harm could come to one session of spraying pheromones? It’s like someone doing weed one time. It barely scratches the surface in contrast to totally ruining you for life. I say if you don’t condone it then don’t do it, and if it happens then it happens. This isn’t weed and like Steve said they won’t hurt you, so why worry? Especially if it only happened once.
But like I said. It’s all up to peoples opinions. Maybe one day we will see what the effects of pheromones on children, but for now I’m sure something that comes from the body isn’t going to ruin a child if only sprayed once.

I’ve got to defend Sillykitty here. I think people were right to advise her to think more thoroughly about pheromone testing around small kids in the future, but it wasn’t that horrible of a thing to do. Pheromones have been reported time and again here on the forum as having been used to calm children.

Lor was entirely right to remind the rest of us that we should have counseled caution when we saw the report. Yes, there can be unexpected reactions. There was not one here. Could there be one in the future? Yes, and somebody should have pointed that out to a new user. Thank you Lor for seeing what the rest of us missed.

Diane, if I ever had an extreme reaction to any of these products that I would compare to an illegal drug, I would stop using them and ask for a refund. I think you are way out of line here and that’s my 2 pennys.

_Edit: I forgot to say that although we may each have our own ideas about how we would like to see the testing done, it is all up to the brave ladies who are doing the test to do it anyway they please. Guerrilla research at it’s very finest!!!_

Renny, thank you for sharing what you would have done in my shoes. I chose to learn to respect these molecules instead and use them with a little more caution. And I chose to continue testing. Every test of every molecule is useful and every report is useful, even the ones reporting negative reactions.

This is general information. I don’t know what the gang put in these blind bottles. But I’m sure they are putting stuff in them that they pretty much know the reaction before hand. But _anyone_ can have an unexpected reaction. And even well categorized pheromones, like TAF, can cause bad reactions in a few people.

Androtics is not going to police your use of Putatives, although at one point there was a suggestion made to make new users wait a year of providing testing reports before allowing them access. It is up to each individual to be responsible in their testing.

I don’t believe that a new tester telling people to take Putatives lightly _because they are just pheromones_ is responsible behavior. And I believe relying on a 3 year old to tell you to stop doing something that is bad to them is ridiculous. Just my two cents.

Diane
