I am in a sling right now - busted left elbow. I busted the elbow while belaying for the rescue team down the canyon, across the ravine, and up the other canyon. I’m flying out to the east coast tomorrow am, so maybe i’ll get to bump up to the front of the boarding line… other than that, just mildly hypothermic on saturday evening.

in his defense - i emailed and said i wanted to talk about a “somewhat traumatic and unexpected incident” on saturday. He told me no problem, go ahead and send an email. In a pique of rage, i sent him a 20 page journal entry i had written on the experience. (I’ll send it to you too, if u want. writing is my catharsis.)

He wrote back several several hours later: “Okay… maybe I should have said call…”

LOL - i called him a butthead. i think we are solidly stuck in the friend zone. I told him i fully expect him to take me out for some beer, since this was so outside the norm. he laughed. I am going to go gimp all over him and make him feel bad.

really cool thing - the hunky, beefy SAR guys are still in touch. 😃 we’re going out for drinks soon too. They were seriously _cool_ guys. Solid. Rock solid. I’d work with them any day.
