Hahahahaha. Yeah, I’ve told guys they’re handsome and they look good in certain clothing and the look on their face is like “Whaaaa? Man, I’m not into that, but thanks” 🙂

> Ah yes, another graduate of Psychology 201. Perhaps meaningless to you. And perhaps meaningless to me at certain stages of my life. Nevertheless, there is a time to make house and a time to scatter seed. Right now I’m “blowing in the wind.” The goal of my life is not to have a lasting and deeply fulfilling relationship, although it would be nice again at some point. But then if I only wanted to get my rocks off I could simply take matters in hand. I actually like people and greatly enjoy the company of my female friends even when sex is the primary attraction. I have other fish to fry and don’t want to get tied down.

> As for “ego-busting marriage and/or divorse [sic],” I’m still close friends with my ex-wife. We’re both professional musicians, share common businesses but merely grew apart as husband and wife. Heck, we still travel together and hang once in a while. We’ve both happier with less of one another and, I must say, my ego is more bloated than ever!

Cool man, happy for you. My friend is an aspiring musician that is always pretty down because he has to work (construction work) daily instead of getting to play his intrument all day long, so it must be hard in this line of work, I don’t know about you though, are you successful to the point you can stop working(not saying musicians don’t “work”) and live just by playing your instrument ? (be it your computer if you’re into that)

News flash here from the peanut gallery. Skills are specific actions, like tactics are in miltary operations. They have to rest on a larger understanding of life.

>
> Nice on you might be totally attractive - but nice on that jackass over there - well he’s jsut a jackass.

> It’s not that we don’t know what we want - we just know it when we see it.

I’ve seen girls that hate jackasses but when seeing a guy with congruency, acting the same way, will despite the fact that she “knows what she wants” persue him.

I think you girls in here have taken this out of all context. Girls will know if they like the more dominant behaviour from a guy or not. They will know if slow talkers with deep voices get to them or not. They will know what they prefer in bed, being slapped on their ass or threatened their life or romantically held close; it differs, YES, I did not go into that because I thought you guys would see that.

But a girl will certainly not like a guy soully on his looks, she simply will not. If you’re a 10, good for you, you’re life will be easier, but for you who are 6’s, congrats: you can get the same results as the 10.

Don’t believe me ? That’s your choice. But I’ve seen 6’s CRUSH 10’s, more then often. I mean, they were totally OWNED, like the thing you so called “ugly” guys only DREAM of doing except this is happening every day and every night and it’s real, very real. And their often times also getting women that value looks immensely but because of the emotional spike they create, “it doesn’t matter”. It’s ridiculus, they’ll almost get every type of woman if they calibrate their behaviour around them. And THAT’S what Nunya was talking about, she was saying that a guy that cannot calibrate to the **emotional** wants of a girl (being a jackass or a nice guy) will not attract her.

But guys, don’t take this the wrong way. You’ll still have to be strong individuals and have a strong sense of self even if you alter a little to calibrate to the wants of a certain woman.

And again girls, what I say is not meant to define ALL women in the world. You’re all different, VERY different (I love that about women, not a single one is the same) but you, as us men, have all the same biological needs and wants. That’s all I’m saying.

I agree with your philosophy about 10’s but I say that THAT can also be defined as to how looks do NOT matter. It’s what I said before, read it again for details, but basically I said that a handsome guy gets success when he’s young and that grows into massive success later on.

Because it depends on where you are on the emotional development scale, the intellectual development scale, and the economic power scale…

For example, there are guys who have tremendous economic power, trivial to poor emotional development, and look, well… as if they could put more work into their physical presentation. The do get a certain woman, a woman with specific expectations…

Other people relate on the plane of intellectual development, statistically there’s a higher percentage of IQ 100 than IQ 130… but often the IQ 100 will have an EQ of like 150 and the IQ party of 130 will be an EQ moron…

Generally, people match up best when their intellectual development AND their emotional development are closely matched, then there is the feeling of being well aligned or being on the same page, and physical appearance is secondary.

Or maybe not. There is a narcissism quotient… there are those who are narcissists-by-extension… they HAVE to have a beautiful object of worship on their arm at all times… and this can be equally true of men and women… even if the person on their arm is the jerkiest jerk that even strode on two legs… as long as the public loves it, that’s all that counts… when I was in high school there were non stop ego driven hook ups, we hardly had the insight then to see it for what it was, we being starstruck by the beautiful guy meets beautiful girl fairytale dynamics… which was as often as not laughable bullshit under the surface… what did we know ? Sometimes they even married, reproduced, and had beautiful disgusting neurotic kids who thought they could only be loved by being beautiful… leading, it appears, to a host of eating disorders and a deep market for plastic surgery… nose jobs to the rescue !

yes and no. Yes if you are already calibrated in that direction. But to constantly makes changes in who you are to suit soemone else is just lame. Eventually you have to be you. And that will get lost if you are always changng who you are to suit soemone else. Might work for a fling, but if you are thinking about soemthing long-term, eventually masks are gonna fall.

High EQ seems to be less rare than high IQ, would you say? (Not that high IQ, by itself, is good for all that much).

Mmmmmm… as with all things, the unintended consequences begin to compete with the desired outcome… although I’m no so sure how carefully these decisions are considered…

Here in the USA there has been a veritable explosion in the Sex Worker industry… so much so that in the Upper east Side of Manhattan you have west of Lexington Ave, which is the land of billionaires, high profile marriage, and so on. Then you have east of Lexington which is a warren of “service providers” where the gentlemen to the west can unburden themselves… I think it was reasoned through that paying up front, by the hour, was a far better choice, economically, and frequently emotionally, than engaging in these abnormal _pas de deux_ that are supposed to serve as “meaningful relationships”… so one must ask, in all seriousness, who are the real _whores_ here ? The one who puts her cards on the table, gives a man an hour or two of great sex, some intelligent companionship, bolsters his ego, accepts an established rate, and leaves no mess in her wake, in other words, an honest player in the scheme of things ??.. or.. the one who goes through the motions, feigns whatever is needed to establish matrimonial symmetry, and then somehow arrives at the conclusion that the whole thing was a horrible mistake and wants out, and her lawyer will be in touch shortly ?

I’d extend myself on this one and say, at least among the rich to the super-rich, that the greatest _whores_, in the fullest sense of the word _whore_, are those who go to the greatest lengths to present themselves as otherwise… among the sex workers I have known, some quite well, they may be sexual and make no apologies for being sexual, over and above that, people of infinitely greater integrity than the hustlers working the bars, clubs, restaurants, the same ones who would be horrified and insulted if you called them to their faces exactly what they are…

How about Peter Stringfellow. And he’s only worth circa. $30 million.

Roman Abhramovic is getting divorced. He offered his wife $1.8 billion and she rejected it - claiming she deserves $7 billion; roughly half his net worth.

That works out at $5.6 million for each time they had sex. Assuming they had sex 3 times a week for the 8 years of their marriage.

So… welcome to reality, circa 2007

Every time the legal system “wins”.. the real underpinnings of relationships and marriage break down… most women I know, once you cross a threshold of intimacy, initiate The Marriage Conversation… and more and more men that I know, and this includes middle class guys who don’t want the extra grief… especially guys who have been through one divorce and got the full taste of the process, are choosing the sex worker option… there are better, more professional sex worker websites with ratings systems, and so on… it’s becoming a legitimate professsion, like gambling, excuse me “gaming”, was a generation ago, taboo then, normal accepted thing to do now… the family values movement is pulling in one direction, telling folks what they **ought** to do, cool clear reality is pulling in another direction… a few hundred for some outstanding sex, as needed, no muss, no fuss is sooooo much easier than complicated, convoluted relationships, or option B, wasted time and hangovers from bars, or option C, screwed up marriages that turn into shouting matches and the constant threat of going legal… you know the number of times I’ve heard tell of an argument escalating into “I’m seeing my lawyer TOMORROW MORNING !”…
Personally, I think this dynamic is heavily engineered by the legal industry itself, which is the primary beneficiary of human strife, and therefore has perfected th art of maximizing matrimonial strife as a matter of professional competence… since the rude stats are at least 35% of marriages end in divorce… not the 50% often quoted, but 35% is high enough…
Can we see where this is all going ? Obviously the Sex Worker industry is going to gain ground, with more levels, up to something like rent-a-wife or neo-Geishae..
🆒 🆒 🆒

And if the pundits and moralists and flag wavers can’t deal with it, they’re going to get awful sore necks looking in the other direction… which will generate a boom in Chiropractic services… 😃

Interesting comments on the “legal industry.” From my experience I would have to agree, but also note that there is an entire subculture of bottomfeeders including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, arbiters, moonlighting judges, etc. that thrive on and encourage the divorce industry.
