True everyone looks good in the right light, which is why my picture makes me look terrible, it screens out the stuck up snobbies.

Even short people need luv, yanno. lol

I have been trying to meet some people locally for chat or friends while I rebound, keep it light and avoid dating and such… I use a special secret patented Catlord method for finding the women I date, and I have used it for the last 10 or 12 years. Works great, as long as you remember the old saying about being careful what you ask for… lol (Hey! Didn’t I just say it’s secret? Come on!)

The Internet, in my experience, is a good place to meet really insane locals and really awesome people who live too far away. lol

Is this method translatable to women searching for men to date? I only seem to run into psychos or married men. At first I thought it was something about me that was attracting men with “surprises”, but now I think there’s just a really high concentration of psychos in the world. 😛

You did, but you can’t blame me for trying! 😉

Ariadne, could you define “psycho”, I think I might be one but I just want to know if I’m missing any of the finer points. LOL

LOL, ok, my definition of psycho is the same as the standard, but here are a few psycho things I have encountered in the dating world:

- Talk to you on a regular basis via phone, text, and e-mail, and then suddenly stop. When you finally see this person and ask “how’s things? I haven’t talked to you in a bit”, they say “things are fine, there’s a problem with my cell phone, that’s why we haven’t talked”. Mmm-hmmm, ok. Communication never resumes until you happen to run into them somewhere, and they blurt out “if you don’t know why I stopped talking to you, I’m not telling you!” and stomp off. Don’t immature _women_ do this?
- Decide that the second date is the perfect time to go into exhaustive detail about their ongoing emotional issues regarding past relationships, including a rundown of their last therapy session.
- Constantly try to turn their every waking moment into a porn film. I know most guys here are going to say “we all do this!” but without going into detail, let me assure you that this was just gross and beyond anything I would expect from a normal man. Plus this guy was physically disgusting. And was borderline-stalking me. No, I wasn’t dating him, I was trying to avoid him.
- Try to convince me via text to have sex with him in a manner that led me to believe he was getting his jollies at that moment (ugh). When turned down became the stereotype of the jilted man who will now try to make your life a living hell of high school girl proportions. Did I mention I work with this guy, and he’s married? No, this is _ **not** _ Mr. Darcy, and yes, Mr. Darcy knows about this guy.
- I was introduced/set-up with a friend-of-a-friend, said guy supposedly intent on marrying and not having much luck finding a suitable girl. He gave me his e-mail address. Upon googling his address, I find his info all over “men seeking men” sites. Not that there’s anything inherently wrong that, but now I can see why he’s not having luck finding a suitable woman to marry! He’s looking in the wrong place!
- Set up yet again with a man who decides, based on some things I said about relationships, that the first date is the time to start ordering me around. “ **You** will order this”, “ **you** will do this for me”, “ **you** will come home with me tonight”, etc. The date ended before dinner arrived, when I stood up and said “ **you** are eating alone and will not call me ever again” and walked out.

I know some of you are going to say “yeah, but you must have had a hand in creating these scenarios”, and yes, I’m sure I did in one way or another. This is just a smattering of the dating or trying-to-date behavior I’ve seen _recently_, however. It just shows a trend in weirdness that only seems to be escalating, and I’m not the only one who’s noticed it amongst my single friends and acquaintances.

Although sad I thought that this article might be appropriate to post. It is about a woman’s detail account on her dump by text messaged, best friend’s very unsatisfied experience with a well known online dating service.

Which is why I tend to stick with the free or lower cost sites, I have yet to pay for a dating site and have met several great ladies. As well as the fact I have seen a few email or text breakups in my life time.

Wow, I have yet to see a teacher in my searches, must be the area you are in. Most of the ladies I have found are jobless, single and living at home. Which is ok I guess but not when they have been living that way, some with several kids, for multiple years. At least get a job flipping burgers parttime or something. If I was looking for a family to support I would have started one several years ago.

The funny part is during the first cold snap this fall my number of emails tripled, I was suspecting at least half of them were without heat or power. 😃

I have yet to meet any insane ones, a few that were nutz, one that was flat dumb, and not in a good way.

That is the key, there are a lot of crazy people, you just have to find one you can tolerate.

Yup, that defines my stalker from back when I was in college.

When blogging about your dates, don’t use a name that can be traced to you easily, such as a common nickname you use for everything, The power of the almighty google is very far reaching…
