I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the To Go bottles that are shipped to me. They don’t hold up to being “on the go” and I am consistently loosing product. It’s becoming costly and an inconvenience, especially when you are out and it’s leaking in your pocket. The way that the labels are applied, it doesn’t even allow you to tighten the caps without removing it. And even tightened they still leak. Does anybody have feedback with this? Anything that you have done to prevent this or use a different bottle for on the go?

+1

My first order had 3 bottles at 75% or less, and it seems to be the one customer complaint that goes unnoticed with AD. All other customer support has been outstanding.

I’ve resorted to storing my to-go’s in empty travel sized Q-tip cases (target brand fits best) They hold 4 bottles each snug. As long as I keep it upright I haven’t had a leak issue.

In your customer notes, state as follows: “Please wrap top half of TOGO bottle to prevent leaks.” It was not until I did this that I had confidence to order 5 mL sizes again. The bottles have long been a problem without many good alternatives. However, this step I have suggested _ **should be standard on all orders** _. Wrap it in duct tape. I don’t care if the bottle is pretty. I want the product. A huge factor for overseas customers. They make waterproof tape. _Screw the label_. Seriously. I yank off the tape and label (opaque ones) anyway.

I’ve started taking the labels off as well. I don’t need a fancy designer label, I just mark them with a Sharpie and call it a day…

All of my bottles came wrapped! I don’t know if the tape was supposed to be waterproof or not, but each cap was wrapped in tape, yet a few still leaked.

Awhile back John was talking about a glass to-go container option, not sure if they’ve made any headway.

Same here. The to-go’s with fancy labels always leak for me. Lost 2 IH’s and a TUTH so far, could only use a couple of sprays per bottle.. the rest leaked out while with DHL, in my pocket or while being stored (securely) in my drawers.

Won’t order to-go’s anymore. Only for the Mx297 (favorite product that only comes in to-go’s).

I don’t buy to go bottles. I just don’t. They leak. If they aren’t erect they leak. Usually the putatives they send for free for testing are 1/3-1/2 full upon arrival. The threading on them is just no good for liquid.

What about wrapping the threads with a few layers of teflon tape?

I don’t think I have any laying around my apartment, otherwise I’d give it a go… It could be a cheap and easy stop-gap until better bottles are sourced.

Should work fine, the problem with them as they are is the threading is too far apart and absolutely any torsion at all opens them up like a sieve, simply laying on their side allows fluid to slowly seep out. I bought a IH or IO and knocked it over, stood it up the next day and it was empty, all I’d done was take the scotch tape off of it when it came, sucked but lesson learned. When I need a more expensive one I just have to wait longer to get the 30ml, no biggie in my book.

I think I am going to try to carefully remove the label and place a band of duct tape around the seal. This should seal it in theory I hope. Getting another shipment in the next couple of days and I’ll let the group know how it works.

Duct tape is not liquid proof. It might slow it down but that’s it. I’ve actually been looking at various small plastic spray containers via supply catalogs to get some samples to test to try and recommend Androtic’s a better one, haven’t found any in the cost range I estimate they are at right now though that would likely be any better. If anything I’d go to the hardware store and get some plumbers putty, put a little bit around the threads and screw it on if you really wanted pocket carry. I’d just try and stay at the top half of the threading to limit any of it getting into the reservoir (not that it would be likely to alter the [pheromones](https://a314.com/) at all), a tub of plumber’s putty will run you a few bucks and last for hundreds of to go bottles, it’s always nice to keep some around the house anyway.
