Fragrance Notes: Tobacco, Tonka Bean, Vanille, Cacao

This fragrance has a old world feel to it you can imagine Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn sitting under a tree on the banks of the Mississippi filling their Corn Cobb pipes full of sweet tobacco. Or you could envision a old fashioned gentlemen’s club with their pipes filled with the same tobacco.

With one spray to the chest and wrists I could smell the opening of moist tobacco with a underpinning of dried fruits. As time progressed the creamy vanille opened and became more prominent but it no way overpowered the tobacco. This scent is so well blended as the tobacco and vanille go hand in hand and compliment each other as well. I’m sure I can smell cedarwood as well.

I have been searching for a tobacco fragrance for a good while now that was closest to the smell of a tobacconist shop. And I have found it in this, it really does smell like a unlit vanille tobacco in a pipe. Years ago I went through a phase where I used to smoke a pipe and this fragrance captures it for me.

I have been wearing the scent now since it arrived for five hours and it is strong as ever and projects well and I love the creamy vanille tobacco smell. Very nice.

This fragrance does remind me of Burberry London if you took away most of the boozy port wine smell and leather and added vanille and sweetned the tobacco. You would have a hybrid cousin to tobacco vanille.

A big thumbs up for me this is going to be in the line up with Burberry London and Creeds Boi Du portugal as my cold weather frags.🙂

Tommy,

As you posted in the other thread, Serge Lutens Fumerie Turque _is_ interesting.

If you seem to enjoy the tobacco scent, you might very well love Serge Lutens Fumerie Turque.

The initial application might be worrisome, but it settles quickly. Damn fine scent.

All the good ones do seem to be expensive, but not vice versa.

I’ll be testing the Tobacco Vanillle soon and let you know how it compares.
