I have received a sample of this through the post and have been wearing it. The scent opens with a pungent blast of leather just like a quality new leather jacket. In the background there is raspberry/Jasmine scent, after time the leather softens and the raspberry/jasmine accord come to the forefront of the fragrance.

When you first smell the scent its like wow I did not expect to smell this realistic fragrance of leather like you are sitting in a brand new car with leather upholstery. Now the raspberry/jasmine accord does help to tame the leather so it does not overwhelm the senses. Eventually the leather fades and you are just left with the raspberry/jasmine scent.

I like this fragrance as its very unusual and I like how they have captured the leather then mixed it with the raspberry/jasmine. Nice

Thanks for the review. I’m weary ordering cologne based solely on Basenotes reviews. I wouldn’t have given Tuscan Leather a second thought from their reviewers. The they mentioned Cuir De Orange by Miller Harris and Cuiron. That’s a lot of money per bottle to find out it smells like shit. I am interested in Tom’s Tobacco Vanille. [perfumedcourt.com](http://www.perfumedcourt.com) claims to sell samples of most of the high-end items but I can’t speak their integrity or if they ship to the U.K. I will soon though…better to waste $30USD than $300. JMHO. It’s so hard here in the U.S. to find an original fragrance that is appealing to the opposite sex.

Cheers,

Peregrine the Perfumer

Just one man’s opinion…but the tabacco vanilla is too sweet for me, if it had more tabacco and less vanilla it would be fantastic.

Stud, try the one from common scents, it is more tobacco and less vanilla but the vanilla is still there… it is very very nice…

Someone here (I can’t recall to give proper credit) mentioned Scent Splits. That is actually cheaper than TPC and you can get some great stuff and not break the bank.

[Scent Splits](http://scentsplits.wikidot.com)

It’s hard to find a single place to get the best prices, but I found testers of high end cologne for great prices on Ebay. Some sellers are in Hong Kong, others in Dubai, but you have to search to get a deal.

For instance, I found Creed Bois Du Portugal 2.5oz for $89 as a tester. That is insanely cheap. I found Serge Lutens Fumiere Turque for $108 in China, free shipping. So if you really love something and it is bottleworthy, you have to work a bit, as you can easily spend twice as much on the two previous examples. If you want to test, get a split first.

I am going to get a 4ml of the Tuscan Leather due to your description Tommy. If I visit the UK, I have a strong feeling I could burgle your entire cologne collection and be happy with everything I make off with. We seem to have similar tastes.

Lol… I think you would be very happy as I have acquired quite a few expensive frags from Creed to Tom Ford and not forgetting one from Fredrick malle.

You will have to post your thoughts on Tuscan leather as it has a very good leather accord. But you do have to be ok with the raspberry/jasmine scent that runs through the composition. I personally like it but I do think it could have been toned down a bit.

I’ll let you know. I am ok with the rose scent of Montale Black Aoud, so I think I might have a good shot with the raspberry/jasmine.

Creed, Serge Lutens, Andy Tauer, Tom Ford are all some of the big dogs of perfumiers.
