I have a togo bottle of [Instant Jerk](https://a314.com/product/instant-jerk/) and no matter how hard I try, I just can’t pull it off. I just do not like the results I get from wearing it. So I was wondering if I could dilute it down to make something more useful to me rather than letting it all go to waste. I was thinking about taking the togo of jerk and pouring it into an empty 30ml bottle from an old purchase and then adding 4 parts of my regular scent. This would take the 12.5 mcg of none down closer to 2.5mcg which is about where TuTH sits if I am not mistaken. Or, I also have a togo of shine 2x. I was thinking about pouring the jerk into a 30ml bottle, then adding the togo of shine 2x to the bottle and then adding 4 togos worth of my preferred scent. This would put the none down to slightly less than that of the TUTH while giving me some of the TAA from the shine as a buffer?. That being said, I also have a togo of IO and IH 2x as well. What do you all think about this? Would I just be wasting my togos by doing this or could I possible make something that works well for me? What would you do differently to dilute the Jerk? And what about the copulins in the jerk? ---

Did you try to layer? Just wearing 1 spray of [Instant Jerk](https://a314.com/product/instant-jerk/) and 2-3 sprays of Openness or Shine? ---

I’ve had great luck with 1 spray of Instant Jerk and 3 sprays of [Instant Gentleman](https://a314.com/product/gentleman/) or Instant Openness. It seems to really balance the high -none and bring out the (positive) interest in a lot of people. ---

I have tried to buffer it with just about everything that I have but it just makes me feel weird. That is why I was thinking that a dilution would be my best bet. Or a dilution plus a buffer ---

Well, maybe [Instant Jerk](https://a314.com/product/instant-jerk/) just isn’t for you.. Not all pheromones work on all people the same.. ---

I would say diluting with 4 parts cologne to get the concentration down to where you want it would be best. You can still layer the dilution with shine, IO or IG to buffer. Even better would be to start by just diluting it with 1 part cologne. Perhaps make a togo with 1 ml IJ and 1 ml of your cologne. You might not have to give up on the IJ vibe altogether. I found the key to wearing high -none to be a simple matter of getting used to it. By only using part of your stash to try the dilution you could come back later and try it full strength. ---

Isn’t [Instant Jerk](https://a314.com/product/instant-jerk/) already scented though? Will that make the diluted mix smell weird? ---

Wearing the instant jerk near your core, and more [social pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/social-pheromones/) on your extremeties or hair where diffusion is higher will help as well. Spraying Instant Jerk on the nape of your neck, shoulder or back (I am avoiding chest or body to help reduce the self-effects, if wearing shorts your quadriceps might also work as an IJ application point) will keep the aroma closer to you, then applying IO, IG or IH to your arms and hair will let them permeate further. ---

Man, I wish I had a pipette or something so I could begging making measured mixes. I think what it really boils down to is that some people have a personality that can naturally pull off a phero like IJ. And some people just can’t make it work for them. After several tries, I have decided that I fall into the latter group. Which is no big deal really, and that is why they make togo bottles. It isn’t like I am staring at a full 30ml bottle that I am unable to use. But if I could take the the togo bottle of IJ and mix up something that is closer to TUTH then I would feel better about it then I would if I am still staring at the togo of IJ in a years time. Granted, I know that it is not as simple as saying " Yes, one part IJ to 4 parts scent equals TUTH" or " One part IJ to one part IS2x plus one part IO plus 2 parts scent equal ammo" but I am certain that as many different mixtures that people have made around here, there has been at least one person who has turned jerk into something that works for them. ---

I’d try mixing with Instant Shine, [Instant Gentleman](https://a314.com/product/gentleman/), maybe Instant Honesty. One or the others, not all three. I would also consider throwing in some TAK with that Instant Jerk. The TAK would definitely mellow it out, but YMMV regarding the TAK.
