> Actually if you want to get technical Humans are mammals from the primate group. As mammals we are warm blooded, give birth to children and produce milk. We share the same very close to the same chemical dna as other primates like monkeys and apes.

Genetically we are 99.9% chimp.😮

Close, but not quite that high 😉

“It is widely held that ‘The common chimpanzee (_Pan troglodytes_) is our closest relative. Its genome sequence is about 98.8% identical to our own, and we shared a common ancestor some six million years ago.’1 In a recent article,7 [David A. DeWitt](http://www.answersingenesis.org/home/area/bios/d_dewitt.asp) cited a study which found that the two species are only 95% identical when insertions and deletions are considered,8 showing that the estimate of divergence depends mainly on what type of DNA is being compared.”
