I’m sure this has been discussed a few times, so please bear with me for my inability to find the topic if it has been recently discussed, but I had to ask. You see, here in Northern California, more specifically in the Sacramento Valley, we have two predominant types of weather, as opposed to seasons. These two weather patterns are affectionately known amongst me and my friends as “Frozen Nads” and “Melted Nads” weather. Seeing as me and a few of my other buddies work in Children’s Services outside of school, we spend a great deal of time around children, who spend a lot of time playing, the majority of which is outside, essentially leaving me outdoors much of the year, thus being incredibly suceptible to these two weather conditions to the point where I am an expert in them, but I digress.

Now, wearing any type of fragrance at work for me is a High-Level No-No, as it is already difficult enough to convince 12-year old girls that I am in fact, -not- a good candidate for boyfriend or official Kiddie!Drama moderator, but after work, when I’m cleaned up, in normal person attire, and roaming about in the ridiculously hot weather, is it okay to still wear Pheromones? If I use Turn Up The Heat, will girls avoid me because of the Heat+Strong Pheromone siggy? Do I need to put on a little more [Come Talk To Me](https://a314.com/product/come-talk-to-me-cttm/) to convince a girl to come converse with me in 30 degree windchill? Will I need more Instant Shine if I’m trying to steal the spotlight with torrential downpours outside?

TLDR: All copious and admittedly unnecessary descriptions aside, what effects will the weather have on my sprays and mixes and how do I combat said effects?

Warm weather will speed the rate of diffusion of the [pheromones](https://a314.com/) off your skin. The effects will be stronger, though they’ll actually wear down more quickly. TUTH uses a highly diffusive alcohol carrier already, so if you already have trouble wearing androstenone (principle pheromone in TUTH), wearing it in a warmer climate would make you more likely to OD. Also, androstenone has a particularly ‘BO’ like fragrance that may not be detectable to you (it isnt to me), but it is to others. Definately be careful if you’re wearing androstenone if an environment where you tend to sweat.

In colder environments, the pheromones tend to diffuse more slowly..so its recommended that you use a little bit more…This is especially true with an oil based product because of the slower rate of diffusion, and also because most oil dispensers will release less fluid in colder temperatures (thats what I’ve noticed down here anyway). Wearing androstenol with androstenone in warmer climates does create a high potential for unintentional androstenone overdose. Beta and Alpha androstenol make up the mix in CTTM. Androstenol is known to convert to androstenone at a fairly rapid rate, while androstenone itself has quite a lot of longevity. Its very possible to wear an androstenone+androstenol mix, and have it turn into an androstenone OD.

There was also something about using different formulations/carriers mentioned a while back. If I recall you could (and probably still can) request either “Hot” or “Cold” environment mixes for many Androtics products. There was some discussion about the differences the carriers (eg oil vs alcohol) would have based on weather/temperature/humidity. Mostly touched on diffusion rates if I recall.

MHarris or Jasmin could probably direct us all to the topic or bring us up to date on it.

If I recall the discussion was about 6 months ago just about the time the weather was changing from winter to summer here in the US.
