Hi guys! What happens if you apply phero and then you go out in the rain?..Will the rain soak it away? What’s the best dosage for IO?..And what goes best with Instant shine? (I haven’t purchased instant shine yet!) ---

Well thats a good question and I am not sure of the anwser but my opinion from experience would be that if its just a sprinkle your [pheromones](https://a314.com/shop/) will be fine. if your standing out in a down pour some of the less sticky pheromones will probably wash away Remember some pheromones build up, like Androstenone, even after a shower so your gonna really need to get drenched to remove them in the rain . I normally use an umbrella or wear a hoodie when it’s raining. Mones won’t help ya much if you look like you just fell in the river… ---

I’m always paranoid when in the wind, even a breeze, that my pheromones are being blown away. Will the wind affect pheromones? ---

Thanks Trisha!..I was just curious because today I was caught in the rain without my umbrella after I had put on my pheros and wondered whether I’d have to re-apply them. Do pheros really build up in your system the more you use them? Which ones?..A314? [Ammo](https://a314.com/product/ammo/)?..Even after a bath/shower?? ---

Again a slight breeze is not gonna hurt them. A wind tunnel is another story. They will probably diffuse faster. You do have to consider that when in the wind your pheromones will diffuse with the flow of the wind. So if you notice a strong breeze and your near a target try to move upwind. If your out and there is heavy winds go back inside. 😛 I dont get that option, You know through rain wind snow bla bla bla nothing will stop the mail carrier from there appointed rounds and all that shit LOL Tisha ---

Scent of Eros will survive a shower and soap somewhat intact… but it’s oil based. Instant Shine washes off easily with water and a little soap. OTOH, androstenone is tougher to wash off, even a shower won’t remove it completely. This isn’t surprising, I’ve had fragrances survive washing, so androstenone isn’t much different. I suspect androsterone is the same, but androstenols wash off easier. A sprinkle won’t hurt. Carry an umbrella for heavy rain. Oh, and Wildflower don’t worry about the wind too much. I’ve had pheromones survive at 2-4 miles on a motorcycle exposed to the open air. Just so you all get the idea of the effects of wind, it’s pretty extreme- it can make it feel like it’s 15-25 degrees cooler depending on your speed (it’s like an air conditioner almost), and of course the wind can be loud (I wear earplugs any time I go over 35 mph). It cuts it down some but not alot. A little breeze won’t hurt them. If the weather is too extreme, I’d suggest rubbing a little oil over the application spot- jojoba oil or light mineral oil. [Scented pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/scented/) are probably better because they’ll have more fixative power. BTW, now days I apply pheromones to my wrists when I go riding and cover them with gauntlet gloves and a jacket. I also put a little bit of Scent of Eros sometimes behind my ears. Sometimes I apply a little bit of pheromones to the inside of the jacket, too. Having a helmet full of pheromones is what happens if you apply them to your neck. ---

Androstenone can build up on the skin, Soap and water generally will take off the pheromones but you may have A little residue from Androstenone left over. After time this residue can build up causing a OD so they suggest taking a break from Androstenone a few days a week or using peroxcide on a cotton ball and rubbing your application points. This works for both oil and [spray pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/spray-pheromones/). Tisha ---

I left my umbrella at home once because i was in a hurry, half way to school it started raining, and i mean literally pouring…i was in a hurry to get to my class so i just ran in the rain for about 10 mins, i was wearing 2 drops A314 at the time. 5 hours later i could still smell the [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) on my neck and wrist. But i imagine if you use sprays such as IO then some of them would probably get washed away. ---

Umbrella, ella, ella, A, A, fuck I hate that stupid song. Umbrellas are your friend. In extreme cases you can apply to your clothes and just wear your jacket overtop. They will survive the trip outdoors and will difuse quite nicely when you remove it. Necks apps can survive with an umbrella or a jacket zipped up that high. Alternatively you can put a scarf over your neck to shelter your application. If you want it to difuse better outdoors then apply to the scarf. Rain isn’t that bad. ---
