And it all depends where you are and who you speak to; sometimes not liking stuff gets you in trouble. ---

Musical genius bringing melody, and heavy complimented with diminished scales and harmonics all into a well designed art piece. The songs mood never stagnates. Even if you don’t like metal I challenge you to say this is not epic musicianship. To the 99% of people who don’t like metal that detest the vocals, here’s a thought. Ignore them and focus on the MUSIC. Music in the mainstream today has faded to background noise whilst people focus on the vocals almost entirely. As a musician I find this atrophy of musical appreciation disheartening as the unbelievable level of talent goes entirely unnoticed mostly because people don’t like screaming vocals. ---

I’ve been listening to Human abstract, between the buried and me, black dahlia murder, unearth, and august burns red… all the new CDs from each of these guys are AMAZING ---
