I just thought I throw this one out to get some feedback on what people thought.

Just wondering if the [pheromones](https://a314.com/) we use and like say anything about our personality, our strengths, weaknesses…

Ideas…comments?..Siren

This thread may be a start in that direction:

> Any Meyers-Briggs ( Jung) temperament people here? There is professional and online testing that can be taken that tells you what type of temperament you were born with, which is different from personality - though some call it a personality test, it is temperament testing. This is a psychological science. Temperament plus life’s experiences = personality. So temperament is more fundamental of what we are… At the end of the online test you receive a four letter code with an explanation of wh…

I imagine that people either want to

- draw out something from themselves that they feel is lacking or somewhat weak in them,
or to
- enhance a trait that they already have quite a lot of, because they like the way it works for them naturally, and so wish to boost it artificially.

I can certainly say that I prefer a beta-androstenol heavy mix to an alpha-androstenol heavy mix, I’ve never been much of a “social butterfly” and like the connection I am getting with people from the betanol. But I still like my IO - just as part of a combo with a bit more depth to it.

The way I have personally _reacted_ to certain pheromones tells me quite a bit about myself. Particularly -none, which I am appreciating more and more as I continue to wear it. It hasn’t turned me into a sex maniac or caveman or anything, rather it has helped me feel there’s nothing wrong in asserting myself as a guy who is interested in women, in the right social contexts of course. But I’m still me, perhaps with more of an edge or something.

I followed the quote and took the test. It was very interesting. It hit the nail on the head. I always felt like the alien and this explains why. Not to many people on this Earth with my personality type.

Reps to you…Thanks!!

P.S.- I found that I had an INTP personality- Rational/Architect.
Introverted- 33
Intuitive- 75
Thinking- 12
Perceiving-22

I feel that more than anything, combos show more on personality than individual pheromones. I prefer Instant Honesty over [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/). Like ntk, I like the deeper connections. I like p79 because it’s just raw, and animalistic. But I don’t like -none as much. I appreciate it for what it is, but I choose to avoid it. -rone is nice as it’s centering and refined confidence.

Basically, my mixes sort of lean towards creating a strong emotional connection with an equally strong ‘drive’. I like duality. Come under the radar and then _blam_ hit em with a surprise they never saw coming. 😃

I like combos. My favs are IS/A with [Instant Openness](https://a314.com/product/instant-openness/); MX235 with Instant Openness; & MX274 with Instant Openness. I have tried Instant Shine without any success so far (I am up to 5 sprays & no effects yet). I really don’t like Instant Honesty. It makes me very emotional & reactive (so not like me) Basically it goes against my grain and makes me feel uncomfortable. I am always willing to experiment but I cannot wear it to work. I work at a law firm supervising a decent load of employees & I have to keep a cool and rational head at all times. I cannot wear it socially because it makes me feel too vulnerable. So I am scratching this one off my list.

Ah, a fellow INTP … my first post here on my MBTI with a bit of a funny story is [here (link)](https://pheromonetalk.com/t/what-is-your-myers-briggs-type/1739/6). You work at a law firm? That should be a great fit for you … I’m curious to know if you specialize, for example, in appeals or in “breaking new legal ground” … or if your field is intellectual property.

Interesting question.

I had to think about it. I like attention LOL From both males and females so my combos tend to lead more toward bonding and friendship. I am also a very sexual individual ( I dont mean sexy) I mean I am sexually open and expressive so my combos also lean in that direction as well.

I like IH over IO for the deeper connection

I like both IS/A and IS/B but A is my favorite due to my dominant personality.

I like [P74](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/p74/) for its bonding

But the one product I almost always choose without much thought is Ishine.

Thing is my personality changes with the wind and some days I may feel like going more sexy while other days more bonding.

All in all it all comes back to one thing for me. I like attention, I like to give it and I like to get it. LOL

Yeah I am INTP too. I think the proportion of INTPs on a forum like this is probably way higher than in the population at large. And just, in general, the personality types who like to try out new and cutting-edge things like pheros.

Hello MarkL:

No nothing so lofty. The firm I work for specializes in immigration law. I am not an attorney. I use to be the executive secretary but was recently promoted to general manager so I run the place. I will not be staying here for long for I am working on a PhD in Spanish/ESOL. As soon as I graduate I am seeking employment at a college or university teaching Spanish and/or ESOL. This is a transitional job as far as I am concerned. I do enjoy this job and if I was younger I would have gone to law school. Unfortunately law school is age prohibited for me. I may act and look 10-12 years younger than my age but the fact remains that I am 50+.

P.S.–Your story was funny…LOL!!!
