This little piece is from “Creature Comforts”/Nick Parks/Aardman Studio (Bristol, England), part of the “Lip Synch” series. In 2003 it won a well deserved Academy Award for “Animated Short”. Aardman is famous, with numerous awards, for making films using stop-motion clay animation techniques. I’ve been a fan for years and love this type of work, in general, but Aardman’s work in particular as they are unparalleled. 🙂 For those of you who love art and/or are fans of Wallace and Grommit… and for soon to be fans… 😃 [![](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex016/uploads/pheromonetalk/original/2X/a/a6aef754d70879afab97186fe472c8aa37973711.jpeg "Creature Comforts USA - Art") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDo_vs3Aip4) Bella ---

That was great! I got sucked into watching a bunch of the other videos and now my kids are late going to bed! LOL, so they thank you =) I loved the regional accents, especially the lobster, since that is so close to home for me! ---

He’s another little gem for you. 🙂 _ **"Marcel the Shell With Shoes On** _ is a stop motion animated short film about Marcel, an anthropomorphic shell. It is a collaboration between writer/director Dean Fleischer-Camp and former SNL writer/actress Jenny Slate. The film premiered theatrically at AFI FEST 2010 where it was awarded Best Animated Short and was an official selection of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. It won the Grand Jury and Audience Awards at the New York International Children’s Film Festival. The concept of the film is that Marcel is being interviewed in his home by a documentary filmmaker. Responding to off-camera questions, Marcel speaks about his activities, hobbies, hopes, and disappointments. The film is edited to resemble rough cut footage." There’s already a book on Marcel, “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On: Things About Me”, available at Penquin, and a TV show in the works. Keep your eyes peeled. 🆒 Little Marcel is gonna be _big!_ 😃 [![](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex016/uploads/pheromonetalk/original/2X/c/c1b585fbf106c2de2807434659f6345f579b53e7.jpeg "MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VF9-sEbqDvU) [![](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex016/uploads/pheromonetalk/original/2X/8/8ba5c10c021c5010b3c005abae5c7654e8305eba.jpeg "MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON, TWO") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta9K22D0o5Q) Bella ---
