I have always been curious about the non [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) components in the bottle since I need to know what in it before doing some more advanced mixing 🙄 . I did a search but nothing came up, so I used the label on bottles, did a small research and put together a summary for anyone who would like to know more.

SD-38, SD40: abbreviation for “specially denatured”. It is ethyl alcohol or ethanole derived somehow for a specific purpose. Here would be to get a better solubility. It is completely approved and safe for cosmetics. But it can be toxic if ingested at huge dose, watch out all you phero-eaters 😃 .

denatonium benzoate: included in the SD alcohol. It is one of the bitterest, but untoxic substance availible one earth 😮. It can be tasted at very diluted amount. And of course its purpose is to prevent intentional ingestion.

Dipropylene Glycol: Share similar properties with oil and allows slower diffusion than alcohol. It is a little polar, and can be mixed more easily than oil with other polar liquid like alcohol and water.

Frangrance: of course present in most bottles!

If you know the proportion of those in the instant products, plz let me know. I am working on a better miscibility experiment to create some good and effective oil product from instant line for slower release. Hope I can succeed and share it with everyone.🙄

Very cool! Oil bases are very useful for those of you guys in hot weather.

We actually have a slow release version of [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/) we’ve been working on (a slower release spray, not an oil). What else do you want to be more slowly released?

My anger 🙂 j\k but couldn’t resist. Ok got that out of my system - back to seriousness.

By slower release do you mean last longer, or instead of effect having a high spike at application then tappering off that the effect stays more even?

Hi Jasmin have a wonderful day in CA it’s going to get bone numbing cold here in MN.

Take care Outlander
