Hey guys,

I’ve been reading a lot on this forum for the past 3 days and finally registered yesterday ready to make my order. I just have a question in mind for anyone willing to answer 🙂.

I’m a scientist (amongst other things) by profession and skeptic by nature, and to be honest, I was never really sold on the whole [pheromone](https://a314.com/shop/) thing and always thought it was a scam. That all changed when I found this forum. I was intrigued by the amount of honesty and openness to scientific skepticism. I was also encouraged by the multitude of educated mature people here who were also in the same skeptic position I was in, and then quickly changed their mind after trying the actual product.

I definitely want to make my order now, and I made my purpose clear in my introduction thread (if you ever want to know 😃) but I still have one nagging question. I’m sort of on a very limited budget and the products AndroticsDirect offer seem to be a tad on the expensive side. So really, according to you guys and your experience, why should one spend the money on AD products rather than any other similar product from any other company? I have noticed that AD, in general, are more moral and honest about their work and products, but are their products really above standard?

I’ve read reviews from users of other sites where they compare AD products to much cheaper products from other companies. They claim that the cheaper products are cheaper AND more effective. So really advertising, company morale, scientific integrity aside, when it comes to the actual formula and effect what makes AD so special?

Yes, they are way above the standard. To put it shortly. And really, try to find organic 200 proof ethanol with low-allergy designer scents, etc at a comparable price. Not even getting onto the exceptional lab standards, dose control down to the low nano grams, of the work or the purity of the molecules. It’s more about getting field data on the molecules than about making money per-se. If it was about making more money lowering the quality standards would be easy to justify… But it would set back research and dirty the data. If they said what Pxx this or that is by the actual name, it would be easier to sell, but that is not really the point. It wouldn’t be blind testing.

There are other places to get single molecules, as well as products that work, some of above average quality, and some below-average or very questionable. Here is the thing, there are competitors that will tell you they are selling you x and yet the price will be far below the cost of the materials… Doesn’t add up.

Thanks for the answer. Sounds like a good enough reason to me. I will definitely make my order today and tell you guys how everything goes.

Androtics molecules are usually a formal synthesis vs. a simpler one-pot synthesis. So, for example, formal synthesis of quinine is awfully difficult. [Pheromones](https://a314.com/) from US labs have to be quality tested for each batch. They’re sold primarily for neurosteroid medical research. Androtics also has some academic clients. In order for the statistical findings to be publishable, they have to be verifiable by peers. That means peers have to order the exact same molecule tested to conform to the requisite quality. 98% would be a good purity goal. The benefit is consistent results.

So, if you were using 125 nanograms of TAF as a steering mone, it takes precision equipment and highest quality to get **consistent** results.

Because the implications of downregulation from excessive pheromone megadoses have not been explored in longitudinal studies, I would caution against buying stuff on the basis of claims like “maximum pheromone content allowed by law.”

It’s is also important to do business with ethical sites. Ones that don’t use pseudoscience. Like the VNO. All the hype over VNO ten years ago never played out. As a result, it only diminshed scientific interest.

If I were a betting man, I’d bet the below-cost deal is a loss-leader strategy. Get people “hooked” in their spray. Something the can’t live without. Then, jack the price. WalMart did it. But small town Main Street out of business. The little pharmacy or hardware store simply cannot operate on those margins.

Betcha in a year or so, the deep discount mones will come along with a change in their sales pitch. “Due to unusual circumstances…The spray will now cost $20 more.” But that was the strategy from the get go. The other AD, LS and LAL all three have a typical pricepoint around $50. Even for the single molecules. But, when you try to ask people a logical question, they give an evasive answer. I asked a dude three times the other day, “Are you in the commerical mones business?” Wouldn’t answer.

So the same people that say a company has legit cheap molecules that seem way cheaper than everyone else…so, what then? Garry at LAL is screwing people supposedly on his chemset mones or products? I don’t think he would. People can’t have it both ways. Either LAL is a good company charging a fair profit, or everyone charging more than $30 for 30 milligrams is a rip off. If I ask people to resolve the cognitive dissonance, they duck the question.

The primary duty of science must always be to seek the truth. To do otherwise is junk science.

So I ask people a logical question, like how a spray can sell for less than the single molecules it is made of, even when the singles are on a discount. They just don’t answer. So, a 20 miiligram bottle of ANOL is $95, but a commercial mix is $30 for 20 milligrams? So, wait, I pay $10 per pie for pizza fixings, but I sell the pie for $5? There is no small business in America that stays in business like that. Cannot be done. You see, I think people are afraid of the truth they may find out. They can’t deal with it. A bigger crock of crap I never heard.

Thanks that was very informative. I agree that one has to deal with ethical companies who don’t resort to false advertising. The scientific approach to selling their product instead of relying on cheap catch phrases and consumer insecurities is what drove me to learn more about AD. I guess that’s a good enough reason to give these products a shot.

you can’t go wrong with AD.i find that their products are very effective and non smelly, because the mones concentrations are not high.just right for the job.some companies use higher concentrations and they stink to high heaven.trust me people! low mgs products hit pretty hard with much less stink complaints.but androtics’s socials and A314 cost way too much SERIOUSLY!!! it’s a drawback for many customers

Another factor. From the largest labs, they do their own testing for each batch, say if you order 100 milligrams of -enone. That will cost you over $1000. But they give you the verified report. You might be able to get a cheaper synthesis. Sending the batch out for testing will be shipping, plus wait time, plus giving them a sample. Typical prices for analytical testing I’ve seen start at $50-100 per sample for the lab fee.

The only way to save money: don’t pay the $100 for the sample test. When looking at phero websites that purport to offer their report on the molecule they sell–I’m seeing several outdated, undated reports. Which means not paying a per-batch analysis fee. Universities will always trust the top chemical cos. They probably have an open PO acct. for $100K for the whole college. You never have to worry about the top labs. But you pay dearly for that.

But if a website personally signs a warranty that every molecule batch they sell, in stock, conforms to over 98%, you can trust them. If it is a legally-binding promise.

If ever in doubt about paying for a large, single-molecule order, ask specifically how the batch tested. If you pay $80 for a chemset bottle of -enone, ask if what they will ship you had a certified test. And the percent. Make them put it in writing. No red herrings or outdated reports.

You might be surprised if they dodge the answer, if the price is too good to be true. “Get the CarFax” on that used car/mones. So to speak. It is a reminder that the other AD, after selling many singles 2011-2013, got out of that business. Not making money. Wasting molecule needed for the formulas. Nobody quits a profitable business. LAL doesn’t sell many singles, but the ones there are about right for a fair profit. $15 for 20 milligrams is a short road to the poor house. Paying for one employee and an office might run you over $50K. That means tacking an extra $5 on to $10,000 bottles just to stay even.

If XS ever opens a clean-room lab and puts a tech, it will cost big money. They will have to charge for it. Nothing is free in the long run.
