I’m 26, Caucasian, have type A blood, healthy, though I don’t really work out at all (just some aerobic stuff to keep my energy up). 5’10, 165lbs, not much flab on me, though not much muscle either.

Is there any other way to find out my natural -none level, short of ODing on -none? I’m all about sacrificing myself for the sake of science, but I rather dislike the ghost effect, and if I could find out any other way, I’d be one happy camper 🙂

Cheers,

~BoG~

It will vary from day to day. With each phero, you still need to find your ideal dosage.

Many of us have wished there was a way to test [pheromone](https://pheromonelabs.com/) levels and find that “sweet spot” right off the bat, but alas it is not (yet) to be.

About all you can do is try each individual pheromone or blended product one at a time starting with either a real high (IMO not the best) or real low dose and work from there over a period of time.

It can take a while, especially when you also have to deal wtih day-to-day changes in other people’s thoughts, feelings, stress levels, hormone levels, etc. Plus you have to learn how to read the resulting reactions, if any. What may appear to be “no response” may actually have triggered something that just is hard to see. What may seem like a “real big hit” may have been someone stepping on a nail…

The optimal search pattern is to start with any dosage X per day for N days. For example, you might do 5 mcg of none per day for N=5 days – 1 mcg before you leave the house in the morning, 1 mcg at lunch time, and 3 mcg before going out in the evening. Then observe the number of positive and negative reactions during the last 3 days (ignoring the first two).

If you think X is too low, you then try 2X per day for N days as before.

If you think X is too high, you split the difference between your current X and your previous high (or zero if no previous high). So, if you did 5 mcg/day, then doubled it to 10mcg/day and wanted to go back down, you would drop down to 7.5mcg/day. If you initially did 5mcg and wanted to go lower, you’d split the difference between 5 and 0, so 2.5mcg/day.

This is a “binary level search” … doubling and halving to reach a ‘limit’ that works.

However, no matter what level you ultimately pick, at best you will have a “confidence level” that it’s good. For example, you might finally choose 6.25 mcg per day, split in some pattern. But at 6.25 mcg you might have a 10% chance of being “too high” and a 5% chance of being “too low”. Or perhaps your own body is more volatile in processing [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/), and you find you have a 30% chance of OD but still have a 20% chance that the level you choose isn’t enough to have much effect on people.

The longer N is in your experimental search, the more confident you should be in the level you select. You “throw away” the first two days of observations after each change to eliminate “translations” … days when you and your social group are adjusting to the new level, which would put more “noise” and less “signal” into the observations.

You still have to deal with all of the nuances of observation that Rbt mentions … so consider having a wingman observer to collaborate with (and to corroborate, or to dispute your personal observations.)
