I’d like to know what pheremones help people be creative. I’m particularly interested in those that help people sit and write stories about fictional characters, whether for film, television, or books.

Requirements would be: calming of mental chatter, increased ability to focus, relaxing anxiety while stimulating other emotions, and increased ability to visualize. Increased ability to remember and/or observe details would also be good.

Any suggestions from any of the experts out there? Jasmin? Catlord? Bueller?

Jasmin told me to use a314 and p79 for an exam. I didn’t end up having the exam, but she said it would create a strong focusing effect. I don’t know about creativity though. I thought p83 was creative but i’m the only one so far and have a very strange responce to p83 to begin with.

Bueller…

Bueller…

TAA/Shine - Increases expressiveness. I spray it on guitar players and listen to god come out of their fingers. The kind of look in awe at themselves at how effortless the whole process is.

Bnol/Honesty (2x+) - Increases internal communication. You can get real deep into your head, especially if you’re shooting a few sprays of a higher dosage straight to your face. Watch your mood, though, it can get you reaching inside your head, pulling out things that you may or may not want to experience. Easiest way to counter that is with Shine. Deep thought + Expressiveness = 😮

A314 can get you concentrating. My friend (ex cartoon network animator) used to wear it during long long long stretches of drawing. Couple drops to the wrists, and he reported to me that he could hunker down and focus on every last line, and have very acute attention to detail and pride in his work. He reported that he found himself getting very intense with his drawings, lowering his head a few inches over the paper, catching whiffs of his wrists as he went along.

Other suggestions?

Spaceland/Anol brings out a facile, surface brightness and expressiveness. You might throw out a quantity of funny and creativity that you’ll have to edit later to take out all the dorky, unusable stuff.

[P83](https://pheromonelabs.com/product/p83/)? Oh gosh, I don’t know in this context.

Tacitus has suggested P87 and P84 for some inner brain juju. May be good for massaging your brain into a more creative state.

Hmm, I haven’t noticed any increase in my creative juices with any of the [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) I’ve used. Certainly has made my interactions smoother! I’m a musician by trade and have learnt ways to turn it on when needed. For most folks focus and visualization skills, like technique, doesn’t come naturally. It is something you master through years of disciple, study and intense practice. For me isolation in a quiet place at the same time everyday produces consistent results. I can’t get through the day without my quiet time. It has to be an obsession–something you long for and have to do. You make yourself work and produce no matter how you feel and, eventually, you will produce consistently good work.

I’d advise against depending on external stimulants–drugs, religion or pheromones–as a creative catalysis. It really has to come from within or you’ll quickly find yourself at a deadend. Believe me, the pheromone buzz will quickly fade as you develop tolerance.

I don’t know anything about the relationship between writing and pheromones, but my personal advice from one writer to another is write for someone else before you write for yourself.

I was having a terrible time being creative and I ghost-wrote an autobiography for a radio personality and found that after that large amount of writing where the material was right in front of me I could easily steamroll into a project of my own without the normal difficulties.

But pheromones would be easier…

If what you are saying is a normal thing for writers, perhaps Tak could work.

Tacitus says it has dissociative properties so maybe you can look at your ideas from a thrid person point of view.

Said this in the same thread.
