Damn, how could I forget Rush? Definitely one of my all time favorites and the band that I’ve seen live more than any other: 5 times now. I saw them play last year around this time: No warm up band, just 2 1/2 hours of pure Rush and Getty Lee pouring his heart out, with about a 15 minute break halfway through. I really like the style they came into in the 80’s. I like their earlier stuff too, but from 1981’s Moving Pictures to 1989’s Presto, I don’t think they put out a single song that I didn’t like. I love how Rush imparts such strong messages and meaning in their music. Major props to both renny and mark for mentioning Rush. I’d list them too, if only out of loyalty nowadays. They were “my band,” along with several others, all through my early teenage years (I still have the letter I received from Neil Peart when I was 11).
