Yes I’ve seen it. If I didn’t already have an amazing mix calculator given by the illustrious Dancing Joker I would have already used it.

If I could give you more rep PQ I would, but where the heck was that two weeks ago when I was struggling with mixing? Blasted PUA always out sarging.

> Speaking with Dancing Joker it has been assimilated that you need concentrations of at least 100 mcg if you want to make mixing easier.

Tater recommends getting the highest dosage/concentration that matches your financial and usage constraints, not necessarily to ease mixing. The higher the concentration, the less accurate your mix will be. However, that also means your target dosage will have more volume.

Tater tends toward the “drizzle” application method, as inkling calls it, so unless the volume required is extreme, it doesnt really matter. However, the pheros are cheaper at greater concentrations. See Mad Taters Journal for a table.

Well, think about it. If you have a titration vial marked in 1ml increments, and you have a phero at 5000mcg/ml, and you need to add 5mcg (.01ml), how accurate do you think youll be? If you havent had caffeine, youll be lucky to split come in at 1000mcg. However, if you need 10000 mcg, measuring 2ml and getting somewhat close (+/-10%) is easy.

Put another way, its like the difference between trying to drive at 65mph and trying to drive at 65.308 mph. You need a lot more skill for the same amount of accuracy, an exponential amount.

calculations came to me easily, but now that I think of it, I don’t know where I got the numbers from.

I think the confusion here is the type of mixes being discussed. As the first and following posts of this thread indicate, the topic in question is mixing components together in a bottle and juggling the concentrations and amounts needed to produce a mix with a specific yield of each component per spray.

I believe what you’re commenting about is more towards applying individual components separately by either spray, dab, or drop from a bottle. If I were to try to apply a drop of 5000 mcg/ml component, there would be very little accuracy or precision possible since the method only allows for specific unit quantities of distribution (1 drop, 1 dab, 1 spray). In that respect, you would be correct with your assertion. However, in the context of mixing in a bottle, that no longer applies since we are combining multiple components together in a process that by definition dilutes the concentration of the component and is affected by the quantities (volumes) of other components.

For example, if I were to mix 2 ml of the 5000 mcg/ml component with 8 ml of alcohol, that would produce a mix of 10 ml with a component concentration of 1000 mcg/ml since it only composes 20% of the mix. Now if I were to mix 2 ml of the 5000 mcg/ml component with 98 ml of alcohol, a 100 ml mix with a component concentration of 100 mcg/ml would be produced (2% of mix).

If I wanted my mixes to have a high concentration of my desired component, I would have to start out with a higher concentration since mixing (especially with large volumes of other components) will dilute my component concentration. For example if I have a bottle of 25 mcg/spray P74, if I used just the spray, my usable maximum concentration/spray is 25 mcg/spray (100% of mix). All my mixes will never exceed 25 mcg/spray of P74, and if I mix other components into the mix, the concentration will be significantly lower. To maintain a desired concentration at the 25 mcg/spray level, I will have to use a higher concentration strength of P74 (50, 100, 150 mcg/spray, etc) so that after mixing and diluting with other components, I can still end up with a net mix concentration of P74 at 25 mcg/spray.

It would probably be easier to distinguish between the 2 methods of mixing. Most of the “mixes” that I see are usually a combination of sprays or drops (e.g. 3 sprays of Ammo, 4 sprays of [Instant Shine](https://a314.com/product/shine/), 2 drops of A314, etc.), and I think it would be easier to call these **“Combinations”** or **“Combos”**. On the other side are true mixes that are composite blendings of different components together into a new mix that is used as a stand-alone product. These should probably be referred to as **“Mixes”** or **“Potions”** as I like to call them sometimes 😛

My point was more about getting an accurate mixture and not having sufficient precision to work at the higher concentrations.

Maybe over the holidays ill make my PheroMeister spreadsheet a bit more friendly for the average Joe.

**MY CONFESSION:** That’s what I’m after, but what I’m beginning to believe … after years of trying products, and not worth one brown bean when it comes to math … those that are good at math will always have the upper hand when it comes to mixing (Joker, Tater, Tacitus, and StevePoo’s catching on, sounds like). Pretty much, everyone else is spraying this with that, and calling it a mix … from what I’ve been reading.

You were right Steveo in one of your more recent post … “people want other people to do all the work for them.”

Now I wish I had had a drive in the area of mathematics … I thought it was only important to be able to count dollar bills. ☹

Forgive me people, for I have sinned. 😮

Hope this does mean I need to start hanging out with gurllllllllllllllllls. 😠

Average Joe … out.

If this is what you call mixing, I guess what most of us do really _would_ be called something else, like combos or recipes. It’d be nice to try mixing as you present it here. But since I don’t know the components of the base products, which are what I build my combos off of, I’d just end up wasting expensive, high-concentration pheromones and putatives trying to recreate them. Now I gotta go change the nomenclature in my latest thread since I referred to my combinations as mixes…Bah. I need a phero glossary or something.

</div>

I think as long as you know the quantity of pheromones (in mcg) then you are fine. If you know a drop of TAA oil contains 20 mcg of TAA and a spray of TAA from your bottle contains 12.5 mcg of TAA then you are fine with your calculations.

The problem comes when you want to be sure that 1 spray or drop contains exactly what it says on the bottle. Androtics uses good sprayers and droppers which provide consistent dosing so unless your sprayer or dropper is clogged or doesn’t have enough pressure you will get what is written with marginal error.

Also not many pheromones have wildly different effects for ± 10% difference in concentrations (although some do). A novice mixer is better off ignoring these trivialities. You can work on getting better measuring devices/pippettes when you reach advanced stages.

The math involved here is pedestrian since it really only requires you to add, subtract, multiply and divide which we learnt in high school (😛 okay much earlier but you get my point 😃 ).

Mixing all the components of the combo/mix in a bottle and then using it might produce different results as compared to mixing it on your body by applying each component separately.

I think Michael used the comparison of making coffee in your mouth by putting sugar, coffee, cream etc in your mouth one by one versus drinking a made coffee in the cup.😃

Interesting concept and theories I must say.

I am guilty as the next guy because I always mixed, er composed my Instant whatever and thought it was mixing. Yet, at the same time now that I am mixing I certainly understand Dancing Joker and what he means.

I love the quote from Michael that nbully79 used. The more I think about it the more I understand that mixing is not what I was doing at all. I guess we can always call it what we want, but all the same Dancing Joker has a very valid point to call it what it is instead of what it is not.

Well Kitten, you can call it mixing and I’ll still understand. I call it sensible. I also spray on individual ingredients until I find a combo I really like, then I mix up a special batch so I can hit myself with 1 spray and get everything I want.

You don’t waste expensive ingredients that way. Of course you lose the ability to put different things on different body parts if everything is in one bottle. For instance, [Instant Honesty](https://a314.com/product/instant-honesty/) on the wrists, Turn Up The Heat on the chest, a little spaceland on the hair, then you can expose the target to varying concentrations at will, depending on the proximate body part.

Yeah, but +/- 10% at high concentrations can be huge.

Novice mixers shouldn’t be dealing with very concentrated pheromones in the first place. For -none 5 mcg/spray, -nol maybe 100 mcg/spray, others similar dosage depending on if they have a dark vibe (A1, TAL, P75, P76, P79, P80, P83 etc. or light/fun vibe (Est, TAA, TAH etc.)

Whether you are putting 90 mcg or 110 mcg of -nol it will make little difference. Also whether you put 4.5 mcg or 5.5 mcg of -none won’t make that big a difference, even though -none is the most finicky of all.

It occures to me that mixing into one bottle may have its disadvantages as well as advantages.

For example, if any of u guys are anything like me, then u may find yourselves useing lots of hand gestures when talking. I call it talking with my hands!. So if i have applied pheros to my wrists then it is these that i begin throwing around more readily than the pheros aplied to my chest, neck, back or stomach area.

If i lean in to kiss someone on the cheek, they get more of whatever is aplied to my neck, chest.

I think whatever works for each individual is fine. Of course I would not suggest mixing in one bottle to someone who is new to pheromones.

I dont mix in one bottle because I like to have control over my pheromones. If you mix it together your sort of stuck with it and there are days I just dont want to wear certain pheromones. I think in that sense it is wastful. But if you come across a combo that you really love and want to wear alot then all together in a bottle would be good.

True but either way its still coffee. One way is just easier then the other. When I have mixed products in the same bottle the results are normally the same or less as when I spray them on one at a time.

I think for experienced people who know what blends best with what its probably easier. When Michael blends he knows which pheromones will temper or amplify each other. A little to much either way and you will have a weak mix.

He has also said the consumer products should not be mixed because they are balanced as they are so I think is people do want to mix they should do it with only experimones or putatives. Of course as Nbully said novices should wait till they have more understanding of pheromones.

Interesting. Tater composites with the Instant products on a regular basis and has been very successful doing so. Did he mention particular side-effects?

Tater I think thats what Tisha is quoting MHarris as saying that “mixing” is a no no not composites in which I believe everyone has done at some point.

I personally do use, as you are aware, TUTH, in some mixes, only if I’m out of raw -none. Now that I have a 50mcg bottle of -none no need to worry anymore.

But I can see what MHarris was saying though. Each Instant product is perfectly mixed and as such we would be breaking down that mix and getting results or lack there with from mixtures we are unsure of.

I don’t think it would necessarily be side effects but more of how certain unknown molecules used as secret buffering agents in the Instant line might be counter advantageous to another straight molecule.

What the heck do I know anyway. It’s why I started the thread so I could learn.
