I have dated movie stars and still do, musicians, models, the hottest of the hot and surprisingly most of them have said they couldn’t believe I was actually dating them. LOL-Go figure!

So you guys NEVER ever ever graded anyones look on the 10-scale…? Well concrats I guess, you’re the first two people I’ve “met” who hasn’t. Anyone else I know has their own little scale, and even though we all have different taste, some ways of looking is just low on everyones scale.

I’m not saying that personality doesn’t matter, I’m just saying that a guy would be better off going for a girl who looks somewhat like him self, instead of changing his whole personality to attract “models, actors” and whatnot…

I just know so many unattractive people who has very attractive friends, and refuse to date anyone that their friends wouldn’t. I’m not saying that caring about looks is ideal, just saying that it’s real, most of us do it.

I didn’t use to care at all, before the BAD experience with my ex, but it made me understand the problems that can occour when uneven kids are playing. However I would prefer a guy on my own level to a guy way hotter, call it low selfesteem, I just wan’t someone that makes me feel like I’m perfect for him and vice versa, not that I’m luckyer than him 🙄 And if personality made up for it, I wouldn’t want him because his obviously wasn’t very good 🙂

However it’s just a part of my taste I think, because I’m not at all attracted to the model-kinda guys, I barely notice them when I go out, and they do hit on me, but it’s soooo rare that we have ANYTHING to talk about, and then I lose interest. Actually my two best friends mock me about the guys I fall for, cuz they think they aren’t good enough for me 🙄 However I’m pretty sure it’s their love that makes them think noone is 🙂

Wow wen’t on a stroll there, sorry guys, just writing what I’m thinking:o

That’s not what we said. You cant help but use the scale system when you deal with coaching and guiding people but no matter where you are on that scale your not out of anyone’s league. Out of your league implies so much more then just looks. It limits people and damages self esteem and worth. All humans are in the same league.

Not only that but what may be a 10 to you may be a 5 to me. We are not saying that visual appeal doesn’t exist. People have preferences.

Saying your out of someones league or someone is out of yours limits people and damages self esteem and worth. All humans are in the same league.

I understand and I somewhat agree that they would be more productive with a person more compatible to them but that doesn’t make them out of the league. Sometimes…in fact many times girls who are 10’s date lower and vice versa.

See I think the difference in what I am saying and what your saying is …

I dont know any unattractive people, I just know people I am attracted to and people I am not attracted to. Just because my friend thinks a guy is hot doesn’t mean I will. I agree with you its quite stupid to choose who you date by your friends standards though but I think thats a stage people grow out of.

Taggle I promise you this. When you find the “one” he is gonna be a 10. He will be handsome because you love him, you wont love him because he is handsome. 😉 Believe me someday you will say “Hey that old lady tisha was right” LOL

The best looking person you will ever find that you are truly a match with is in the mirror.

That is the only league that you will ever be in.

If you meet enough people over time you will notice that people will move up and down the scales of attraction at different moments. One moment they seem like a 9 but the next day for some reason they seem like a 7. I come across attractive people, but once they open their mouths and their brains start to work, I’ve found them to be the least attractive.

I’ve come to the conclusion that until I spend some time with anyone, I’m indifferent in terms of attraction. They may look stunning and catch my attention, but that is all.

Not saying the 1-10 scale doesn’t exist, or the A-F grading system, or the five star scale or whatever you prefer to use. It’s the notion that your ability to meet, attract, seduce and even maintain a long term relationship with a person requires that they be at least reasonably close to you on the same scale. If a guy is a 7, based purely on looks and nothing else, it doesn’t mean that he’s not able to date a 9 or 10.
Now so I can’t be accused of putting words in peoples mouths I want to clarify that I don’t know if this is what you meant…but I can say that to a degree this is how it sounds…but the statements come across very much like a “know your place, and stay in it” sort of attitude.

Again, not saying that such a message was your intent, but knowing that some people might read it that way I’ll address it from that stance. The problem with that is it essentially requires a person to attack their own sense of self worth. “To avoid painful rejection, determine just how ugly or attractive you are and choose your prospects accordingly.” I mean seriously “ouch”.

> [@](#):

> I’m not saying that personality doesn’t matter, I’m just saying that a guy would be better off going for a girl who looks somewhat like him self, instead of changing his whole personality to attract “models, actors” and whatnot…

I disagree on a few points. With the opposite sex, with money, success, and whatever goals or ambitions you have…dream big, aim high and be tenacious. I would say that a guy would be better off going for a girl who’s lifestyle and personal values jibe with his own regardless of looks…I call this compatibility. As for changing your personality…change is growth, evolution is driven by change, social progress and personal achievement

Take two bits of advice as examples.
“Look dude, you’re a 6 and you’ll always be a 6. You could probably pull a lot of 5’s, a fair amount of 6’s and if you’re lucky you may score the occasional 7…this is your lot in life and you should really just accept it and don’t bother trying to step outside your proper place.”

or
"OK, you want to date some of those playboy quality girly girls?, here’s the deal. Grow the fuck up first…even if you score a date chances are she ain’t gonna be cool with sitting in your living room watching you play world of warcraft. The Tee Shirt that reads “who farted?”…yeah lose that. You have to develop a personality that is more mature and masculine while still retaining some fun to it, and we’re gonna develop an image and a lifestyle that reflects the new you.

Yeah I know you don’t want to have to change, but once upon a time you used to just shit yourself while fully clothed and when you were hungry your momma pulled her tit out for you…I hope that actually changed and I hope you’re ok with that…if not, you got issues brother."

Which bit of advice is more constructive?

Oh everyone does, as I said you don’t look across a crowded room and fall in love with a persons personality, intelligence, sense of humor etc. But so much about physical attraction is more about presentation than actual genetics. Posture, facial expressions, fashion, general grooming etc. Even issues like weight and physique can be changed with lifestyle changes and if not, they’re easy enough to work around.

I have no problem saying that I’ve dated and slept with a few women that on a purely physical level would be considered a little overweight. Thing was when I met them (one in particular on my mind atm) she wasn’t dressed frumpy, or sitting in the corner watching the “pretty girls” have all the fun. She was dressed to accentuate an area where she had the skinny chicks beat…a tight fitting low cut top that showed she had the most ginormous breasts in the place 😃. She wore heals and a fairly short skirt and was done up pretty damn nice. She smiled and laughed and was extremely flirtatious. The same face and body with low self esteem would have come across as “lonely sad fat girl” but her presentation and energy made her come across as “voluptuous and sexually charged.” And at the time I was more interested in her on a primal cave man level than I was in any of the girls that would technically look better in a bikini.

I believe wholeheartedly that men can and sometimes do display the same sort of attraction that works in spite of not looking like a model.

We are born with an eye for specific trades, which we all find attractive. I just don’t agree with you. There is certain mesurements that just turns people prettier to everyone, you know like the size of the eyes and how far appart they are, all this is backed up scientifically. Some people will always be seen as ugly. Personally I find that denying that, is just to claim that they don’t have a harder time in life, which I personally do not see as respect. Even on the jobmarket looks matter. Remember that just because I accept these things as terms of life, does NOT mean I agree that it is the way things should be. I just find that people should accept what they can not change, and find a way to work the system. Great personality, like my ex (before he went C.R.A.Z.Y with jealousy) as an example is great, but it should be a natural trade, not something picked up, just to get with hotter girls…

When I say league I’m thinking about the whole package. I’m just guessing that since the guy isn’t getting any, he propably does not have a winning personality, or great charm, since then he WOULD be getting some. When you’re an average kinda guy, not funnier than the next, a little insecure, look like hell 😉, theres no shame in acknowledging that and looking for a girl like that too. Funny thing is that the more selfeconfident you get, the bigger the chance of falling in love with that girl gets (because you don’t care about what others think you just like her for her), which is so unfair!

Like I’m into a guy who is 4 years younger than me, and not even the kind who is mature for his age at all! And I realised today, that two years ago, I wouldn’t have gone for that, because I would have been embarrased, but now I just like him for him, and only care about the bubble with him an I in it! But most people do not spend as much time as me in therapy 😃

Well that’s what I think, we don’t have to agree 😛

And there is a million different leagues, I’m very hot in nerd-leauge (studying to be an engineer) and party-league. I’m not that hot in gym-league or high-fashion-league. I’m okay with that, gym and high-fashion-league type of people does not attract me. I guess we out of each others leagues 😃

Speaking of the 10 scale -

Can I just say that I never date a girl above an 8 on the 10 scale?

Some girls are just too hot. See, if your girlfriend is a 10 - then where do you go from there if she breaks up with you?

I’m joking of course. I don’t use a 10 scale. I use [scoville units](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scoville_units). 😉

Whats your minimum time spent together to constitute dating? lol

I think savina red habanero is probably the highest scoville I’d call fully-fledged ‘dating’.

But I’ve been burnt by hotter.

Take that as you will.

I knew that I recognized the “True Forced Lonliness community’s” tactics 8 miles away. Ugh.

Wow, the OP has shit clue what he’s going on about.
This apparent “cult” has done wonderful things for me. Especially Steve.
Joining this site was one of the best decisions I’ve made in the last few years. Are pheromones magic? No. But because of this site I have been able to increase my confidence and learn from mistakes. I am a decent looking guy, but a bit on the overweight side. Due to that, I always had low confidence. Joining this site and just the advice given alone has changed that for me. Due to this confidence boost alone, I have more friends, had a (very sex filled) relationship, and am now engaged in a casual fling with a friend.
Do I user pheros? Yes, but very casually, I’m still experimenting. For example, all I have right now is a to-go of Ammo and A314b. That’s it. [limited budget haha 😛]
Do they work? I’m going to go with yes. IG and TUTH made my ex very exited. Ammo works amazingly for the current girl. Can I say for sure it’s the pheros? If I want to be skeptical, no. But at the very least I am confident in the fact that AD makes colognes that females respond VERY well to.

Looks are not everything. Money makes an ugly man attractive. I know. 🙂
