Where should I be applying products like Ammo, Instant Openness, [Turn Up the Heat](https://a314.com/product/turn-up-the-heat-tuth/), Instant Shine, etc.? Does placement have a major effect? ---

Hello labramson1! Your question isn’t so easy to be answered. In fact, anybody has his/her favourite spraying places. Usually, the best suggestion is to “spray the Pheros on pulse points”, because it helps the diffusion. Anyway, there are some Pheros that have better palces to be sprayed. For example, IFM is better if sprayed behind the neck, as some (I’m one of them) repord depression while smelling directly from it. Another thing could be to NOT spay AMMO on your hair, otherwise you’ll have pretty hard time of getting rid of it. Just think on how you’d like to use it, and for what. Do you want self effects? Use it close to your face. Do you want effects on others? Spray it on your wrists. If you want both effects? Spray in both places. I suggest you to read the stickies in both mens’ and womens’ forums, as they are very useful to get ideas on where and when to use Pheors (and what to expect form them). Ok, for now it’s all. My question is, if you sprayed them to your chest and put on a T-shirt with a sweatshirt over that, it would probably kill the diffusion right? It’s tough in the winter to not cover the pheros..☹ ---

its ok to spray socials on clothes right? i thought that just ammo and some of the oils were bad for hair or clothes.. ---

One of my favorite places to apply [pheromones](https://pheromonelabs.com/shop/) when I have to wear layers is on the inside of my forearms. I spray on my zipper area. Plenty of heat and dissipates upwards. ---

\*\*How’s this? Head Hair:\*\* Great diffusion upwards and outwards, doesn’t affect you much. **Neck:** Front and sides affects you. Back of the neck, not much self effect. Good diffusion, best for affecting yourself, close proximity effects to others or making others want to get in close. **Face:** Maximum self effect. Strong effect on people kissing you. **Upper lip/Mustache:** Excellent for self effect and diffusion from oils. Little effect on others who are not kissing you. **Beard:** Excellent for self effect. Good diffusion for oils, fairly short range diffusion. Nice effects on those very close or kissing you. **Backs of hands:** Good for affecting others. Useful in cold weather, unless you wear gloves. **Wrists:** Very good for affecting others. Good for all weather types. **Forearms, top and bottom** : Good for maximizing surface area of each spray by trailing it along the length of the forearm. Very good for affecting others, good for affecting yourself. Can apply as many as four different pheromones to each forearm in these “stripes”. **Chest:** Good for simulating a more personal pheromone signature. Affects you, and has a closer radius of affect regarding others than forearms. Best with light clothing. **Crotch** : On clothes, very effective for broadcasting pheromones a medium distance with a subtle suggestion of sex because of where they are sprayed; enhances the effects of [sexual pheromones](https://a314.com/product-category/sensual-pheromones/). On the pubic area, usually gets stifled by underwear and jeans. Going commando with shorts, or wearing a skirt with no undies works well. Be careful when applying to clothing, as this tends to make the pheromones linger, sometimes for days (as with the more persistent ones like androstenone). Awesome results on anyone who “investigates” this area closely, especially with sexual pheromones. **Above the ankles** : Good for when you’ll be sitting still for a while and especially if you are not wearing socks. Great diffusion if you cross your legs and wag your feet. Can be confusing to people who detect the pheromones you apply here, especially if they are sexual. ---

Now, this wouldnt affect spraying pheromones on the crotch of your pants, but for el naturel that was my understanding. Anyone else know about this? ---

Armpits and crotch are not recommended by some if you are using androstenol and are planning to wear them for long periods of time. The bacteria in these places converts nols to none, and that smells funky. If you keep reasonably clean, and apply to the crotch when you are not planning to be working all day outside first, i.e. before going out for the evening, or after a shower/before a sexual encounter, and you apply something sexual (nols are usually more social) then you shouldn’t have a problem. I don’t usually apply to the armpits because it doesn’t seem to diffuse well from there.
